DDE-last minute-Help!!

Very last minute, we leave Sat for the World. Just found out on Monday that we are going again in April, so I called and ordered Annual Passes. Well, now I realize we are eligible for the DDE. Tried calling today, they are closed and the recording says it takes 4-6 weeks to process.

Does anyone know if I will be able to get this done for this trip?

And I understand it costs $60, that's good for up to 10 people. Then it says spouse can get a card for $25. Why would spouse need a card? Would that only be in case you are dining seperately?

Your spouse does not need a card. You will pay extra for one anyway.

Try to get through. They will take your order over the phone. Ask them to have a temporary card waiting for you at Guest Relations outside the gates of EPCOT. You can pick it up and go on your merry way!

It's a great card to have!

Your spouse only needs a card if you are dining seperately. Also, if you have more than 10, the tables can be split and the spouse card can be used. If these don't apply to you, don't waste the $25.

You can order the DDE card and have a temp one waiting at guest services at the front of Epcot. It can be done in a day's time. I'm sure there are people here who have done it and can tell you their experience. But don't worry, you can call tomorrow and get it Sat.

There has been some discussion if you can use only your AP voucher numbers (rather then the actual ticket) to order .. and yes, you can.

You can order the DDE tomorrow...go online to the Disney website and click into the Annual Passholder portion of the site. You will first need to call WDW ticketing to get the AP # from your AP so that you can get to and fill out the DDE form...at least I am presuming that you will need to call since you said that you ordered your AP's on Monday. Number for ticketing is 407-566-4985.
The DDE form is onlineon the AP portion of the website-print out the form, fill it out, and fax it in to the fax number listed on the form.
After you fax it, call the DDE office (phone number is on the DDE form), make certain that they received the fax, and ask them to send a verification letter over to guest services at Epcot. You can take that letter with you through the parks as verification that you have the DDE...they will ask for your AP also when you are using the letter). Their hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm so you will need to do this as early in the day as possible to make certain that they get the verification letter over to guest services at Epcot for you.

I called and ordered one over the phone yesterday. I went and picked it up at 5:30 that same day. I will have the real card in 4 to 6 weeks.

We had the same situation. Called in and ordered the DDE card. Since our trip was so close they told me to pick up a card at guest relations at Epcot. The 'card' was a letter that said we had the DDE, we had no problem using it at any resturant we used it for, including our food court at POFQ. Two weeks after we got home the card arived in the mail.

We were glad we had it, saved a bunch of $$ for 6 adults in a week.

Did this in July-- called on Tuesday with AP vouchers and the card was waiting at Epcot on Sat morning. I recommend calling rather that going online, faxing, etc. They did it all over the phone, and we were able to activate our AP vouchers and pick up the DDE temp card all from the Epcot guest relations window (outside the park).

Call Disney's Dining Experience office at (407) 566-5858, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

I had an actual card (paper type) waiting for me at EPCOT. The actual card came very quickly thereafter.
