We recently ate at Narcoossee's and took advantage of the free valet parking benefit. Well, we thought we did. Showed the receipt and the DDE card at the valet stand when we picked up the car. CM looked confused, but didn't ask for any payment so we figured we were OK.

Fast forward to check-out day. Yup, a $10 valet parking charge from the GF. A quick trip to the front desk got it removed without any questions at all.

How did they link you to your room ( if that makes sence)

I wonder did you have a Parking Pass in your Dash and they took the info off of that.

Glad it all worked out but how many people really go over theri bill as long as it's nothing real big on there. Great heads up as we always check ours for everything as well.

I wondered that also. It must have been the parking pass on the dashboard that they got the info from.

Then again we know they Know All and See All when it comes to who is at or coming to Disney:lmao: .

You know, after I wrote this it got me to wondering if I should be concerned about people using this info to charge things to my room.

The resort parking passes have a bar code on them now along with your name, dates and resort you are staying at. The bar codes can be scaned and the valet personal can now charge your room. This has been an ongoing problem since outsourcing the valet services at WDW.

Same thing happened to us and we saw the valet scan the code. After that, we took out the parking pass from the window when we valeted.

Good tip about removing the parking pass. The same thing happened to us at the Boardwalk. I never even thought about HOW they got my room info in order to charge me. We were staying at the Polynesian, and I was easily able to get it removed, but it was the only reason I had to visit the front desk that morning, so I would have rather have not had to do it at all.

We've had a previous thread about this same problem and most agreed it was the outsourcing of valet parking that was causing the problem. But that was a while ago and you would think that this problem would be taken care of by now.

Same thing happened to us last week at GF. We were going on a cruise and didn't have time to go clear to the front desk (we were at SSR) to get it removed, so just paid it. This was after I had specifically said we had DDE and the woman at the valet desk said, "fine, no charge."
