DDE - Does anyone have one?

Yes, we've had one for several years. You have to be an Annual Passholder (or Florida resident) to purchase one. You receive a 20% discount on food and beverages (including alcohol) at almost all Disney table service restaurants. We've saved more than the cost on one meal alone at V&As (on more than one occasion). An 18% gratuity is now automatically added to all checks.

I would really like to get one - but obviously dont live in Florida, and am not an AP pass holder.

We already have our tickets booked up - we have the 7 day premium tickets available only over here.

Do you know if we would be able to upgrade one of these to an AP? and if so, how much roughly it might be?

OK slightly as we have a DDE card, but for this year to take advantage of the free dining dates offered to UK residents we bought 14 day Ultimate tickets through Virgin which we are thinking of changing to 21 day tickets as we will be on site for 18 days.

Are you saying I could upgrade these to AP's as that link only mentions MYW tickets which would mean I could put the £20 pp difference between the tickets towards next years tickets.

If I can, do you know how they value these UK tickets.

We have previously upgraded 1 day MYW tickets to AP's so am aware of the process just didn't know I could do it with UK tickets.

And to the OP we're with every one else the DDE is great, saves us loads of money as we usually stay and eat on site. This year we will use it along with the DDP to get 20% off any appertisers we order and drinks / wines with our meals. We also use the AP to get 10% off at a number of shops at Downtown Disney, which comes in handy when our DD5 thinks she needs one of everything

Also the DDE can now be purchased at guest relations in Epcot and does not have to be pre ordered as was the case previously.
