I have been looking all over for more information about the DDE Card.

I can not find it. I have even tried using the search option and it gives me a blank screen or says it can not find anything about it. I am trying to gather whatever information I can about how much the DDE Card is and what I discounts are given, so I can figure out if it is worth it for me. I have heard if I drink a lot of alcohol it is definitely worth it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
jon

I purchased the DDE card in Jan. of this year cause we were going to wdw 6 times this year. our 1st trip it paid for itself. we save so much $ on our dining. we usually get an alcohol drink before our meal and you save 20% of that bill alone. we love it!! i found a lot of info on it under deb's website. it has the number, etc.
good luck!

Thanks for your responses. I even looked on Disney's website. That is exactly what I am looking for.

I'm going in Dec and may get an AP. If I do I will be getting the DDE. Now, do I have this right. I'm arriving on Saturday. I can upgrade any tickets I have to an AP at resorts or any theme park guest services correct? But to get the DDE card I have to goto the guest services at Epcot, or at least that's where you pick up your temp card? Now they are only open m-f correct? So does that mean that I cant take advantage of the DDE til monday?

I called and ordered mine. I went to Epcot the next day and picked up the card. I do believe that they are open when the parks are open. It was located in the front of the park on the right. Here is a tip for you. I got our card in my name. I should of put it in my husbands name. I had to pay for everything, which he normally does. So instead of me tending to the kids, we had to switch roles which is fine, but easier the other way. So, whoever in your family typically takes care of the check, put it their name. THey want to see id along with the card.

Anyone else, I've heard the place in epcot was only open M-F to take care of the DDE, if Krissy is right, that's awesome, but I'd like to know for sure. Or what day did you do it Krissy?

OK, so maybe you can pick it up at a guest relations office, which are open during park hours, but to actually ORDER THE CARD has to be done m-f 9-5 or 9-6, and since I wont be arriving til Saturday, I wont be able to order the card til Monday. I cant upgrade to an AP til I get there since it's part of my package.

we were there during the week I believe. We did go to thier guest relations in front where you make dinning reservations and get birthday pins and what not. I would call the number where you get th DDE card and they will tell you for sure. You will get the best answer when you call. I think I am right, but I dont want to lead you astray.

If you purchase an AP on site, and do not have the voucher in advance, it is possible to get a temporary DDE card. Also this works if there is very little lead time between your ordering the card and your arrival.

1. Call the DDE office at 407-566-5858 between 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday to Friday (except Holidays) and give them your name, the string of letters and numbers on the bottom of the pass (starting with a "W") and your credit card information. If you are a Florida Resident and not an AP holder they will ask for your Florida Driver's license (or State ID) number.

2. Starting at 5:30pm that day, and any time it is open, you can go to the Guest Relations Window outside Epcot's Main Entrance (On your right as you face Spaceship Earth) with a photo ID and you will be given an envelope.

3. The envelope will have in it a temporary card which expires 30 days from the date of the request and a sheet of paper listing all locations which currently accept the card.

4. The plastic embossed card should arrive at your home within a month. The expiration date on the embossed card will be either the last day of the current month in the next year, or if you ordered it late enough in the month it will be the last day of the following month the next year.

Also, if you purchase it between the first and about the 7th of a month it will expire the next year on the last day of the same month. If your purchase is after the 10th, the expiration will be the last day of the following month the next year. If you order it between the 7th and 10th is anybody's guess.

Can I call the DDE office and get a card with the online confirmation number after purchasing an AP? I'd planned on using will call to get the tickets but since we arrive on the weekend can't do the DDE the same day.

Thanks.

Right, but since I've booked a discounted total package, I wont be able to upgrade to an AP til I've actually checked in correct? In that case, I cant call and order the card because I dont have the AP, therefore cant have the code number on the AP. So, in my case, it still sounds like I'll have to be without the DDE for Saturday and Sunday of my arrival, and possibly part of monday as well.

CHESHIRE FIGMENT I NEED YOUR HELP---I have an unused 10 day non exp. hop plus 6 pluses pass that I would like to exchange next week for a regular AP. If my credit is more than my purchase(not sure) can I apply the credit to the DDE or for some form of disney credit?

When I bought my AP and my DDE card in 2006 they were completely separate deals. I had cash to pay for the DDE but they wouldn't accept payment for it at Epcot. I had to call DDE and charge it. Hope that helps!:)
