So, if the DDE is $65, and $20 off for passholders, that makes it $45.
So to equal $65 in savings, I would need to eat $325 ($65 = 20% of $325) worth of food/drinks at restaurants where the DDE card is accepted, right?

I am not sure about the twenty dollars off........we have had the DDE for three years at some point and we had to pay the full price of 65 dollars....
It was worth it for us as we went eleven days to disney with this DDE and then five the next time and then finished off with another week in Disney......we saved our first eleven days with it......we saved at our food court and the sit down restaurants and also at some cs in AK at that time......try to figure out where you would be going with this card......

Thanks. I saw it on another post, but when I read some other info it looks like it is $65, not $45 like I originally thought.

Not correct.

The discounted passholder price is $65. The Florida Resident (but not passholder) price is higher.

You would actually need to spend $305.16 to break even. This is because since the meal price is discounted, the Sales Tax is also discounted, as you only pay Florida Sales Tax on the discounted price.

Correct, it is $65 for AP holders.

For us it is well worth it. We usually go at least twice during a year. We easily spend that in one trip.

I like hte flexibility. One trip I was not feeling well and cancelled a few dinners. If I had been on the DDP I would have lost those credits.

My husband and I went without our daughters this summer, just for 5 days and we saved way more than 65 dollars. On top of the food savings, we valet parked 3 times (at the GF for Narcoossee's, at the Boardwalk for Flying Fish, and at the Contemporary for CG) and got the free valet parking, so that saved us an additional $30. As I like to tell my husband, "We are saving so much money we are practically MAKING money!!!!!" We are going back next March with one of our daughters and we are looking forward to MAKING even MORE money!!!! ; )

We've been DDE members for a long time (it was $25 the first year it came out!!-that was QUITE a deal!!) but I still think it is worth having if you don't do the DDP and if you visit WDW a few times a year. We usually do 4 or 5 day trips about 3-4 times a year. We usually break even the first trip then it starts saving us $$ the next trip. I can't be bothered with the DDP having to count points.:confused3 (I also like the free valet too).

Just one meal at V&A more than breaks us even. And we use the DDE on THREE Disney trips!!

We break even on just one dinner at the CG so for us it is totally worth it. Also- using the valet parking for free at the hotels when we are eating is great.
