DDE, Annual Pass and a few other things

I have just booked the AKL Concierge for December but I have booked my flights and accommodation with two separate companies (British Airways and Dreams Unlimited). I know that Disney will now take care of baggage from MCO to the resort but can anyone help me on how I can make sure this happens. I can't find anything that tells me what to do.

Second, we are finally going to buy annual passes as we are going for 18 days but also because we want to buy the DDE card. I know the DDE card takes 2 or 3 weeks to get but I don't want to start my annual pass until I get there. Can I buy both in advance ? Or what is the best suggestion

I have had my PAP voucher for a few months now and bought my DDE card last month. It took about two weeks to arrive but was activated straight away so will expire next June. There was some suggestion that it might be withdrawn so I wanted to make sure I got it and $50 is nothing if I need to pay again next trip.

i called to buy the dde and they said i should wait till nearer when i go, but i am unsure now. i mean fifty dollars isnt the earth. what should i do i dont go till december

I'd wait until the end of September. You can then use the card for your next trip to the World in 2006!!

Disney's Magical Express should be arranged by your Travel Agent. Contact your DU agent and let them know you would like the DME service from the airport. They will arrange it all for you.

PS - Have fun at AKL Concierge! Don't forget to email them about 100 days prior to your trip with all your requests

I'm going in December and have purchased APs (I have the vouchers to exchnage for actual APs at the parks), I've also just purchesed the DDE cards

You can purchse he DDE cards with just the AP vouchers, no need to have the actual APs.

The AP year starts from the day you activate the passes (i.e. exchange the vouchers with APs at any park Guest Relations).
The DDE cards are active from date of purchase.
So you can get the APs anytime, but if you plan to return to WDW within a year get the DDE cards as close to your departure as possible.

Make sure your Dreams agent knows you plan to get APs, they may be able to get you an AP discount on your AKL booking

I heard a rumour that the DDE was not going to be available after the end of July. Has anyone else heard this ?
