DDE and Fantasmic Pkg

Does anyone know if you can use the DDE card with the Fantasmic dinner package?

Very simple answer - yes and no. Many have been allowed to use it and many have not. Don't count on it, but ask when you are in the restaurant because apparently some servers take it and some don't.

As sunny suggests, it wouldn't hurt to ask, but the official word is "No!" So, don't expect to use it, but you may get lucky.

Our experience last week was a solid 'No', but it doesn't hurt to ask.

When we went in January we used it at Hollywood & Vine without a problem, then when we got back I read here on the boards that some had used it and some were denied. When I made PS a couple of weeks ago for my May trip I asked and was told no. I told the CM I had used it in January for the Fantasmic Pkg and she said I was just lucky and that because it was so new for the AP holders that alot of the restaraunts didn't know. She said the restaraunts now had the correct information and I would not be allowed to use it in May, but then she turned around and said it wouldn't hurt to try.

The letter that comes with the cards doesn't say one way or the other. The only thing it says is that DDE can not be used in conjunction with any other discount. The Fantasmic Pkg is not a discount however. You pay the same price for Hollywood & Vine's buffet whether you get the pkg or not.

We used the DDE on our Fantasmic dinner pkg at H&V in mid-February. The server didn't hesitate to take it when we asked about using it. I would recommend that if you don't have your actually cards yet to make a few copies of the letter. A couple of restraunts actually kept the letter when we gave it to the server.
