The iPad us out of juice and I left the charger at home. What am I going to do the rest of the day at the office? Since it is a Gen 1, I doubt anyone will have a charger here. I guess I can spend time going to the 200 or so offices here to see if they have a charger.

Still too soon after Tim's photo shoot.

So, you're open to the idea. Great. When would be a good time to post those pictures of me without pants? :lmao:

Morning, men. Hoping everyone has a great day filled with bacon and Maker's Mark. Alright, maybe I'm just wishing for that.
Worked last night and I'm working again tonight. No Makers Mark in my future... plus I'm not sure how any of you drink that. :confused3

Pretty quiet here given we are at page 240.
Oh boy!

Ready, set, ..........

Wait a minute... it was NBC... Wouldn't that make him a Universal character??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:
:lmao: :lmao:

Well played!

Wonder what they are looking for...

Welcome. Seems this group doesn't want pictures of my stretchy pants or pictures of my pants off.
Ummmmmm.....

I still have 2 TVs so old they don't have HDMI connectors.
Well then if you go buy a xbox 360 you're all set. They come with component connections. :thumbsup2

Those sound like a great idea. We get year end evaluations with the university job as well, but they are completely meaningless. They used to be about 10 pages long. There was a five point scale for each category - greatly exceeds to fails to meet - but no money or leave time attached. It's a system that promotes chronic underachievement, for which I have greatly exceeded. There was an email from 1 of the dozen bosses explaining a new system for next year. This one is sure to be 20 pages and still associated with no performance bonus.
What's a performance bonus? :confused3

Is incompetence one of the qualifications? I'd better put my resume together.
Why would incontinence be one of the qualifications? :confused3

popcorn:: :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Still too soon after Tim's photo shoot.
Never is too soon! :sad2:

Anyone up for a photobliz this weekend? popcorn::

Thank you Sir Timothy :thumbsup2

Happy Friday boys :dance3:
You got it.

Plus if you read above, if you have an older TV it does come with component connections... not sure why you'd want to play an Xbox on a tube TV unless you want it to look worse than a Wii. :rotfl2:

Morning Men!

DD the younger is only 43 inches. Oh well. We had a good run.

They make sneakers with 1 higher soles for that sort of thing.:good vibes Bring your own ruler. Cut out an inch somewhere in the middle and reattach. And there you have it....44 inches.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Good morning fellow dads! Hope all is well! In Disney news, Yesterday we paid off our balance at the Grand Californian for the Star Wars 1/2 trip, 41 more days!! And still trying to finish Christmas decorations lol.

Congrats on the payoff. have fun!

Woo-hoo, IF we can get across Obama's letting us stay! :rolleyes1

Not Righteous Dude!

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Howdy guys! We bought an Xbox 360 as a family gift. Will it have everything I need in the box, or will I have to purchase extra cables?

Nice! We just ordered one of those full size ice hockey games. It's the one in the dome that they have in the arcades. That's going to be the big present this year and help DS stay off PS4.

Typically the games come with everything you need except extra controllers (most come with 1) and an ethernet(USB) cable to connect to the internet. Not sure if your package was different. USB cable is about $5 at staples, I thing the controllers are $20-30 for basic ones.

Randall,

Terrance pointed out my January trip is not on the list. When you can, please add me - January 8 - 13, BWV.

:magnify: Did he check twice? Maybe it's there, just very small. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

My hoop team (not DD) opens the season tonight against the team that knocked DD out of the playoffs last year. The girls are playing well and I'm looking forward to a little revenge, even if it's just an early season game. DD plays tomorrow and then we have a Christmas party that a friend has each year. Pretty much one of the largest parties I have ever been to. Horse drawn carriage rides, games and activities for the kids, bon fire and good people. :thumbsup2 In case I forget later. Have a good weekend guys.

So, you're open to the idea. Great. When would be a good time to post those pictures of me without pants? :lmao:

How about 10 minutes after they print my obituary?:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Please no! no! no!

Good luck finding a charger of the iPad.

The crew of the Black Pearl.

:lmao::lmao:

Good luck to you both this weekend. We are off to another tournament this weekend as well. We get to play some new teams this time as the last two tournaments have been the same teams.

‘Morning all…
Been just a mite busy this week. At least it’s starting to calm down now. Just gott’a get through about another half a day here and then I’m on my own.

Of course I’m no good on my own, but that’s a different concern.

You know what they say about rising to your own level of incompetence. :lmao:

Rising? I’ve been incompetent since birth.
I’m just continuing to perfect my skills to a Zen like state of incompetent enlightenment.

End of year performance appraisals are in full swing now. I need to mentally prepare for a few. One person is going to argue with me the entire time. I feel like the legal team from "A Few Good Men" pouring over boxes of documents. I think we've made it too hard to fire people for incompetence in the U.S.

Move to SC. You can be hired or released for any reason or no reason here.
And if no reason is given, there is virtually no recourse available for dispute.

Wait a minute... it was NBC... Wouldn't that make him a Universal character??? :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Opens up possibilities for some type of hostage swap.

The iPad us out of juice and I left the charger at home. What am I going to do the rest of the day at the office?

Cat videos on YouTube?

So, you're open to the idea. Great. When would be a good time to post those pictures of me without pants? :lmao:

That might come under the heading of: bad Idea.

Wonder what they are looking for...

I'm more curious as to why the four of ‘em would purposely be on the thing at the same time in the first place.

What's a performance bonus? :confused3

Something that has been unavailable to me since about 97.
Heck, I ain’t even seen a cost-of-living adjustment since 07.

Morning all. Friday ends another week of sitting in the office. Only two more work weeks this month. We have a swim meet somewhere tomorrow, but that is about it for the weekend.
Mine is also quiet right now. DW works both Sat\Sun so just the girls and me. DW mentioned something about trying to get my one daughter a haircut. I'm hoping that doesn't come to fruition. The salon is no place for me on a Saturday.

Maybe I'm not smart enough to understand that. :lmao:
Perfect. You qualify. There's no pay or benefits and the hours are long, but I'm a great manager. So you'd have that going for ya.

Welcome. Seems this group doesn't want pictures of my stretchy pants or pictures of my pants off.
Not yet at least. My vision is *almost* back to normal after Tim's picture of his barely bacon-clad loins. <shivers in fright>

yeah, we overhaul them every so often with the same results. Essentially weak managers don't hold the poor performers accountable and we get grilled for trying to rate someone higher than "average".:headache:

Top O the Morning Dads

Wishes are good....

Amen on the too hard to remove poor performers. Seems like I spend more and more time on bureaucratic, administration non-value add things and keeping this noise from my teams so that somebody can actual execute things and take care of customers
Spot on, Mike!:thumbsup2

A second Amen - few more hours to weekend. Enjoy your weekend as well and hope FIL is still doing good.
Thanks! I don't have all the details yet, but it seems like they were able to diagnose and treat with oral medication. It's something with his adrenal gland, and it seems like the jury is out on whether the meds will get things back to normal or if the meds will be a maintenance thing. My wife who is a pharmacist will dumb things down for everyone but me. Meanwhile I manage a bunch of technology guys for a living. I couldn't have less knowledge about science and medication! Sometimes I think she gives me too much credit for my intelligence. Nothing else, just my intelligence. LOL.

Hi guys.

Been away for a while as life has gotten in the way of Dis time.

quick recap:
It's been a wild couple of months around here. Back in October we were at our church group's Halloween party when I received a call that my Dad had a heart attack. He was in Victoria, BC visiting family when his heart stopped. The EMTs got to him within 5 minutes and he is now recovering. I got on a plane that night to head out as we were unsure of the outcome. Turns out he has a defib issue (electrical, not muscular or vascular) and as such now has a pacemaker/defibulator installed. My uncle was right there and started CPR and as such Dad is recovering from some broken ribs and that is about all.

Back here at home, MIL apparently has been suffering from mini strokes and it's uncertain if there is long term damage but DW has been worried about this. Of course MIL still hasn't scheduled a Neuro appointment and this is causing rifts in their small family. (They only have MIL, FIL, DW and SIL, with no extended family).

On the positive side of the ledger, our girls are all doing well (even DD3 and her kidney/allergy issues). School is good for them, DW is doing well and work has been going well. I've had a very successful year at work and we are preparing for Christmas in Hawaii. (The girls will be there for 3+ weeks and I get 2 weeks).

Anyway, I'm not going back to review the past 50+ pages but will sign off with this:

Prayers for those in need, praise for those deserving, bacon for all.

Oh, and to fulfill my nemesis requirement:

Is incompetence one of the qualifications? I'd better put my resume together.

Sorry, you're over qualified. :rotfl2:

Good luck with the hoops and enjoy what sounds like a great shindig :santa:

Sorry to hear about the family health situations - prayers especially at this time of year. Enjoy the time on the islands, are you staying at Aulani by chance?

Good luck to you both this weekend. We are off to another tournament this weekend as well. We get to play some new teams this time as the last two tournaments have been the same teams.

Good luck to you and Declan as well! It's always good to play new teams that you have never seen.

Yikes. Prayers for everyone involved.

Christmas in Hawaii. (The girls will be there for 3+ weeks and I get 2 weeks).
Umm... you're doing it wrong.

Is incompetence one of the qualifications? I'd better put my resume together.

Not required but preferred. :rotfl2::rotfl:

BTW, where are you in DE? We vacation at Bethany Beach every summer. And my best friend from high school went to Goldie Beacom College in Wilmington. His bro still lives there. He used to work for GM before the plant closed down a few years ago.
