False alarm. She was thinking of having us drive down for a weekend (Dec 13-14). Then she saw the prices for rooms. As quickly as that dream was hatched, it was dashed.

That is just cruel. Especially at this time of the year.

Again...living so close to the ocean and not a fish eater. :sad2:

The life of CJ. There are still gorgeous women in bikinis and nude beaches.

DW just texted me and asked when the APs expire. Could she be planning something? Does the Year of Chris have one more chapter in it? Will we see another teaser trailer for Star Wars soon? Answers to these questions and many more coming soon to a post near you!

That had to be a Homer Simpson moment.

DW: Use those APs again?
Chris (Homer): Woohoo
DW: Nah, rooms are too expensive.
Chris (Homer): Doh!

Norm, you are once again correct and once again, my nemie is wrong. Flipper is a Porpoise, aka Dolphin. There is also a Dolphinfish, aka Mahi-mahi.
.

If the whole world would just accept that I am correct, I could solve a lot of problems really quickly. And Mahi-Mahi tastes great.

Prayers for those in need; Praise for those deserving; Disney, Dole Whips & Bacon for All!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I am not a fish eater, but according to others it is very tasty. So yes, you could have a Dolphin roll but more popular are ways are grilled or blackened. They are also good game fish.

Jim, in order for me to bet on the Phins again, you will need to catch me when I am imbibing.
I'm not a huge fish eater but Mahi-mahi is excellent.

Wait a sec... you don't eat fish CJ?

So I'm currently downloading what seems to be a datacenter's worth of pics from PhotoPass...it's exhausting. If I knew it was going to create tons of folder and that I have to download them all I would have forced my kids to sit here and click download and cut and paste over and over again.
:badpc:

I swear I'm going to have to add extra vacation days to manage my post WDW activities.

The agony of defeat.

Again...living so close to the ocean and not a fish eater. :sad2:
Isn't that like living in Texas and being a vegan? :confused3

ANNOUNCEMENT: Seen the stupidity of living in Florida, I'm moving to North Dakota.

The life of CJ. There are still gorgeous women in bikinis and nude beaches.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Forget the previous announcement.

It is a childhood thing. Almost choked to death on a fish bone (true story). Shall we say it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Just about anything that swims and has a shell, I'll eat. Lobster, shrimp, clams, crab... Not a fan of oysters and mussels.

See, that's why I ask. There's almost always a story behind it!

CJ, you are an enigma wrapped in a riddle!

Howdy dads, long time no see.
Glad to see yall took care of the place while I was away. Beer in the fridge, bacon on the stove.
Norm what's that smell?
I missed an entire thread so I am not going to try and get caught up;

Welcome new guys
Bacon to those who deserve it
Prayers to those who need it
And Beer for everyone cause I'm that kinda guy.
Seriously Norm whats that smell??

Work has been crazy, missed out on taking any days off this year except for 3 days after my wife's surgery, but I have 15 days banked for next year and I plan on taking most of them.
First trip in March is 10 days with my wife for the honeymoon we never got. Headed west for a Vegas and LA trip. Gonna have 2 days at DISNEYLAND just the grown ups.
Also working on a plan to go back to the World in August with the kiddos.
Hope to stay caught up this time.

:surfweb: FBI Director is in our office today. Which means I have to wear a suit...which means this morning sucks...

Since it's after Thanksgiving I'll just go ahead and get this out of the way :santa::

‘Morning all…

So, Disney/ABC/Pixar aired a new Toy Story short last night…

Good morning gentlemen,

I see the thread survived Thanksgiving. Wish I could say I did. Stretch, DW, and I all came down with something over the weekend and were miserable. Plus I had to work the whole weekend. I'll try and catch up later. I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Last Wednesday we took Stretch to see a surgeon about opening up his ear canal. The feedback was the same as the first surgeon but a lot more detailed. Right now Stretch has a 60 decibel hearing loss on his right side. Opening the canal would change that to a 30 decibel loss, 20 at the very best. So he would likely still need a hearing aid. Because the opening would be bigger most hearing aids would not work properly. Also, he would need to have the opening cleaned every three months to a year. Not the news we were hoping for but at least it makes more sense. There is a third opinion we could seek but they are based out of San Jose. We'll see about that. We know a few ear specialists and are reaching out to them before we do anything else.

Now, y’all need to get over this being sick stuff.
Sorry that the second opinion didn’t include better options, but knowing as many fact as possible will lead to the best decisions.
May you find the right path.

Jim, in order for me to bet on the Phins again, you will need to catch me when I am imbibing.

The holidays are tailor made for imbibing…
if that’s the main qualification, we may well see another bet being made.

Thought about staying off site?
A little distance could save a good amount of bucks.

Off site? Remember - APs come with free parking. :thumbsup2

Would this be an example of “Great minds…”, or of “Demented minds…” thinking alike?

Don’t have quite the interesting story behind it, but my tastes in shellfish are quite similar.
The crustaceans are high on my list; the bivalves (except for clams) not so much.
Mahi-mahi though is quite tasty when done well.

Good to hear from you again.
Sounds like you’ve got some great adventures on the horizon.

Oh, about the windows… we’re just about due for a new club house so just throw a chair through one of them or leave the doors standing open. That’d be more efficient.

Wednesday network up ownage. But, I'm still posting here. :stir:

Don't nobody go in the bathroom for 35-45 minutes. Somebody open up a window!

Hey Cliff. We've missed some of those little known facts. And, I've been watching Cheers on Netflix - some great info there.

Morning, David. Morning Dads. Happy hump day to all.

It's on the DVR. That's about all I can add to the discussion.

I wasn't aware that there was a difference.

Happy Hump Day Men! Half day for me today. Hoop training this afternoon with a couple of my players.

OK, let me know when the spirits start to flow and I'll bet you them.:thumbsup2 Just remember that the last time we bet on the Pats/Dolphins you got to sit behind home plate in Fenway. Not a bad payoff. Of course Paul and I have been using your credit card since. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Lobster crawl, crabs scamper and clams sit in the sand. Your definition of swimming seems to be flawed.:rotfl2::rotfl2: You eat turtles?:eek:

So what your saying is it was the fish's fault?:lmao::lmao: Growing up in the 30's must have been cool.

A little distance could save a good amount of bucks.

When I got home yesterday, she was reviewing a time share website that her friend hooked her up with. Using her timeshare, we could pay a total of $200 for the room. Add in about $250 for gas and that's not a bad total.

We would leave Thursday afternoon, drive to S.C., stay at her brothers house and drive all day Friday. That leaves some of Friday and all of Sat/Sun for fun. Then come home Monday. That's a lot of driving for only a little fun. Plus two more days of missed school for the kids. Not sure I want to do this. But I'm going to make FP+ reservations just in case.
