Good Morning! In the office for a few hours, heading home to start the baking with DD this afternoon. Should be a fun day. If the snow holds off, may try to put the lights on the house today. Happy Thanksgiving to all the dads and families!

You'll have to post pictures if you put the lights up. I have never seen thanksgiving lights before. ;) :lmao:

With all the activity today, I see the americans here are really busy just before Thanksgiving... ;)

Awesome pics Chris... :thumbsup2
Yeah, not a very productive week. My boss has already told me to not stay any longer than I need to.
Great Pics Chris! I have a feeling my DD's are going to want to do that Wild Africa Trek someday. :thumbsup2

Thanks. It's worth it. I was glad to do it with just one kid and save some money. Good luck taking the whole crew!

'Morning all...
Actually been a might busy this morning.

Holiday = :cool1:, but... two fewer days to prep for M/E closing = :scared:
Just checking in. Maybe I'll get back over here later this afternoon.
We'll see, but I want to wish a happy Thanksgiving to all just the same.

Oh, and catch the Parade in the morning if you've got a mind.
The first band Rocks!
(and only the bands actually play live music)

Also, my FIL who has been battling Leukemia has not felt great recently. They found a spot on his brain. The medical staff has downplayed it so we are hopeful that it's an infection that will be easily treated. He's going for a spinal tap and some other tests today. So any spare prayers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, guys!

Thoughts, prayers, hopes, wishes all around.

They are shaped like turkeys and are brown and orange. Pilgrims on the lawn and a big blow up turkey out front. I know your jealous.

Of course not. I haven't had coffee, set my fantasy football lineup, checked movie times, or gone to the gym yet. I have lots to do.

:lmao::lmao:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: But you can check "wasting time on the DISboards" off the list. Hey, so can I!

Happy pre turkey day.

Air fare was too pricey for the Kid to fly home this Thanksgiving so I will be spending the day solo. No turkey and Tofurky cooking this year. Was invited to a couple of different friend's houses for the festivities but did not want to be an innocent bystander to their own family's drama. May end up driving to Key Largo for the day. In case I am away tomorrow, hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, eat lots of turkey, watches some football and refrains from getting this thread deleted. Enjoy guys.

I put more of mine up 2 weeks ago when it was 65 out. I finished yesterday afternoon. I have 2 inches of snow here now and it just starting to come down hard. DD had school with an early dismissal while every town around us was canceled. I'm sure the super intendant is fielding a ton of phone calls for that decision.

There has to be better ways of practicing tight rope walking. :tiptoe:

Better to be safe than sorry. ::yes::

Wasting time? Blasphemy! :rotfl2:

Stinks she couldn't make the flight down. Enjoy your quiet time. I see Golden Corral is offering Thanksgiving meals for $12.99. Bon Appetit!

Ok, guys. Jokes over. Whoever has CJ's credit card - give it back. When it starts interfering with family time, it's just not funny anymore.

I had a thanksgiving alone once. It wasn't that bad. I made a porkchop, a can of cream corn, and a lot of wine. Hopefully you will do better on the menu than I did.

Was able to finish off the outdoor decorations with good weather today. Official lighting tonight after a couple of steaks on the grill. To those getting hit by the nor'easter be safe. Looking frown to family, food, football and a nap tomorrow. For those that don't check in tomorrow a Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families and hug them kids.

Good morning men. For those of us that have today as the last work day Godspeed! I am so looking forward to consuming excessive amounts of food and napping through parts of the NFL games tomorrow. DW works tomorrow until 1PM so I'll be cooking some stuff and then take it over to the in-laws. I always do deviled eggs. I'm also making green beans that have a significant amount of bacon in them! Also, my FIL who has been battling Leukemia has not felt great recently. They found a spot on his brain. The medical staff has downplayed it so we are hopeful that it's an infection that will be easily treated. He's going for a spinal tap and some other tests today. Prayers and positive thoughts

Sorry for the apparent post padding. Having a lot of issues connecting/posting with the disboards lately, between the unreliable app and my own laptops quirks. Quite a pain. Think this is why I lean more to FB.

At this time of year I'm throwing in a lot of extra prayers. Done!

Thanks Tim...

I have my cousin from Philadelphia coming for the weekend, so we are gonna do a Turkey just for the heck of it, for your Thanksgiving...

We're suppose to have a storm; may get the day off as well. Regardless, there will be some chili for dinner.

Home from Thanksgiving #2. Little Caesar's pizza and Landshark beer. I missed DW's first thanksgiving last week, but have to go to her mother's tomorrow. Hoping for snow. Lots of it.

Wasting time? Blasphemy! :rotfl2:
!

Speaking of blasphemy, you haven't responded to my response to your post in the DVC dad thread.

That sounds rough. Don"t remember what I did in my single days. I'm sure some those alone days featured beer and pizza.

Quite the opposite. Holiday fever has set in and we are all posting instead of working. Kind of like Norm on a normal day.:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:
:

that's the spirit. And everyone was happy. :thumbsup2

That sounds like my typical work day, minus the gym stuff.

.

Let me know if you want to fly up to KY. I'll be happy to run away from MIL's house, although, I'm not sure if my bourbon bar is open tomorrow.

What the heck happened in here today. :confused3

This was like the good 'ol days. :rotfl2:

That was fun.
