hello dads, don't hang out or post much anymore around here but I got a text tonight from a dad who I stayed in contact with about a post on face book.out of respect for the person posting I wont go into details. im not on facebook but I just wanted to say Tammy, Briana and myself support you and your son. all three of us met your son in june and he is one heck of a young man. even today Briana still talks about our meet and has the meets picture in her scrap book.
even though I don't really know you or your family, I do know what its like having a kid travel far away from home and work for the mouse and the trials that come with it. im also glad so many were able to meet him and visit him while living his dream. you really find out who your friends are.
im glad we took the time to meet him and I pray for the person who has such feelings.
I also applaud you for having the courage to post what was on your mind.
keep your head up and maybe one day we will meet again at the world. :thumbsup2

A small rant. For the first time in my sales career I am being micro managed and I absolutley hate it. I have zero problem with supervision, discussions, meetings, weekly reviews of what I am doing, but to have it on a daily basis is quite frankly insulting.

My company made the decision to re-work how we quote things and as a result we have lost quite a bit of business over the last 12 months. We are seen by our customers as too expensive and our competition has swept in. My problem is that I have taken my boss on joint calls for him to hear this with his own ears. Yet, when I spend time on a new project we have a shot at, I am criticized for not making more cold calls. If I don't see these things though and we lose them then it is my income that suffers.

I don't know what to do. I have been contacted by other companies over the last 3-4 months asking if I am interested in joinging them. We are about to make a huge transisition in our lives by expanding our family. Is now the right time to switch jobs in an already stressful situation? Do I sit still and then lose my job in six months? It has been a very frustrating last few weeks.

Sorry for being long winded.

Dave... that sucks.

Only thing you can do is roll with the punches.

Good luck with what ever you decide.

I know you will make the right choice, and excel at whatever career path you choose.

2 more, gold and silver from sisters no less.

I caught that on my phone hen heading home from work, re-watching the highlights now.

Nice quiet night. Pizza and wings, and we put on UP. Still a great movie. Even noticed something new, a neat little touch. In Ellie's last scene, in the hospital, when she hands Carl the Adventure Book, if you look at her night table, it has tape and other stuff she used to finish the book. Cool.

Peanut Butter and Beverly. Rubber Ducky grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I had to be confronted by a rich entitled soccer mommy at the Taekwondo school. Yes my daughter did an illegal sparring move. But no one yells at my kid but me. And no (swear word about this woman) is ever going to shame my child. And then when I actually have a polite exchange with her by email (it truly was) she goes and demands that the school owner meet with me. Because I'm also an instructor (not for my daughter), he had to give me the what for (and give me the wink after). My blood is boiling so much I could melt all the snow in the Midwest.

Sorry to rant on this thread but @&$@&##%!!!!!!!

I watch this mom every time there is a game in the gym, on the rink or on the field. There are some parents out there who are a big part of the problem not the solution.

It is thru the cake people. But, there are some cakes you can only get at certain locations. And, I don't know if you can get in advance. Here is Dis thread about them.

Sorry to hear it. Maybe you can ask her to volunteer for your next class. :lmao:

Thanks Brian. Can you put in a good word with the universe for me?

Sean, I'm sorry you had to deal with this. I taught Taekwondo for almost ten years and I can tell you this probably will not be the last entitled parent you will have to deal with. Just keep killing them with kindness if you know what I mean ;)

So yesterday, my mother texted pictures of her visit to Aulani then of them having a Dole Whip at the Dole plantation. I'm not sure whether this was nice of her to share some of their vacation or just cruel taunting...

Really sucks, but at least you kept your cool (in front of others), I have little self control anymore it seems. Remember you are the better person.!

It may not be intended it that way, but I read it as cruel taunting. :rolleyes1

Sounds like payback for all your WDW pics you're posting when she's not there....

Time to up the ante Mike!

Game on buddy!

Vacation pictures aren't taunting. Yes, they make me jealous, but I just need to enjoy them.
