Last Powerpoint finished for the Saturday meeting. This is probably my favorite meeting of the year, beekeeping, and isn't even my main or secondary area of responsibility. I only have to give two talks, get to sit in on 3 others and learn something, lots of door prizes, good food, and DS gets to tag along for free as well.

I'll echo what Fed requested earlier, you guys up north shut the door. It is cold enough for penguins here again.

Hey guys. Just coming up for air in a busy week.

Praying you are saved from meetings and baby arrives soon & healthy!

Do you get free honey?

I need bacon and a Dole Whip. Seriously, need it now like a matter of life and death.

No, just lots of meetings. I was hoping baby would arrive so I could skip them.

No baby news yet...although it's looking like we may not make it into February...

My oldest turned 12 today. Still none of that woman change crap you and Jim keep talking about. The worst part of the January birthday is that DW insists on moving the parties to NFL playoffs weekend. The sacrifices we make.

Sounds serious. Good luck.

Safe travels on the road.
.

Thanks. Good luck on those PPTs.

ok guys, missed a lot..... again.
We had plant shut down from Dec 23 - Jan 1st.
Been interesting since coming back.
Jan 3rd, My boss was fired (QA Manager)
Jan 7th, His boss was fired (VP of Operations) - rumor is this firing was because my boss was fired with no plans to cover his position or projects that were in process (ISO and quality processes at our company in PA)

So hope to be able to check in more often but we shall she how this all pans out.

Something to consider. Good luck.

Safe travels this week. I also liked the FP legacy system as it was up to the individual on how many, when and where vs FP+ which so far is limiting on several fronts

Thanks. I'm sure we will adapt and move forward.

Happy Birthday to DD!

For those that have done MNSSHP - how are the crowds? And is everything in MK open?

Specifically doing it on Halloween Night... :scared1: I can only imagine it would be insanely busy.

But DW is interested in trying that this year.

Thoughts?
LOVED it. It was very well run and like many things at WDW, if you do it right, you will get the most out of it. I solicited much advice from the folks here and it made for a very successful experience.

It was not terrible crowd-wise b\c they only sell so many tickets. Everything was open when we did it. The parade was super cool, too.

Sounds serious. Good luck.

Work has been kicking my a$$. I've always had those stretches of work where it was exhausting but then let up. Well, after being in my "new" position, it has been relentless. The thing is, I love my job but it's wearing me down. It's been to the point of working every night after wife and kids go to bed. And it's just to to keep up. But like the song goes, no use in complaining when you've got a job to do.

I envision you thinking this when you wrote that: This is the reason I carry a floor jack in the back of my Tundra. I never really had a need for it until trying to change a tire on US 27 outside of Clewiston at 0430 one time....thank GOD I had it then, and I've used it a couple of more times since.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 I *may* or *may not* have been the subject of said awkwardly looking away a time or two...:rolleyes1 :lmao: Morning Gents. Oh, and one of you fellas from up NORF left your door open again...it's going to get cold for like two days or so and it's messing my fishing up, so if you all could kindly check and make sure you have you alls doors closed properly, us folks down south would be much obliged...:rotfl2:
How bout you Southerners send some heat up our way? If you do, I promise not to let another northerner in the White House next election.

Hey, if you haven't thought about, pre register for the DisDad cruise in 2015, do it. It's fun and exciting. I hope as many of you that can go do sign up bc y'all are a great group of guys. Plus they have a 5K on Castaway Cay that I'm doing

Morning Randall and David,

I'm glad to see someone in the group ordered some real food. :rolleyes1

I'd say that was a great costume for working with a budget and having something comfortable enough to run a 10K in. How did her character meets during the run turn out?

And nice job on ditching the SIL at DHS. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::lmao:

The pig was good. She knows not to try to frown on my meat eating ways. I thought she did well on the costume. Character meets went well with not too long a wait and she brought her iPhone to take OK pictures. Marathon photographers were there but only two came up on her photos.

It wasn't me&..really&&.I wasn't even in Florida&&..no, really.

Glad you got back safely.

Wish you would have told me that earlier. Sorry about that.

This made Jodi laugh out loud when I read it to her! :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I hope Jodi didn't get stuck talking to her. If she did, my apologies.

I told you, January 23rd.

My FIL kept bees. Fascinating process (to me at least) and I do miss fresh honey.

A belated Happy Birthday to her. Just think, next year she will be a teenager.

Good luck , we are all counting on you!!

Good luck!

Something to consider. Good luck.

Thank you guys.

Good luck getting the promotion. Sounds like the ax chopping will have to stop for a while. Pretty soon no one will be left to do anything.:lmao:

Just make sure to leave enough work undone that they realize they need to promote you and hire someone else. If you do all the work, they might just go with status quo.

Thanks, That is why i think i am safe for now. I am the last one in the quality dept. As it stands right now, I have enough work for myself to continue on 11 hours until they decide to replace my worthless helper. Then if i were to get my boss' position, there will be trainings, and catching up on where everything is at. So either way I have the work to where i can't do both jobs.

Hello all dads! It looks like you have been busy since I have last been here. It has been a big year year for me. I changed employers, bought a new house, built an addition, and renovated the rest of the house. Thank goodness I am done! We have not been able to go on vacation or to even think about it until now, and yes it is official we are booked at the Boardwalk for a week in April!:cool1: So it is time to put on the disdads hat again and figure out what I have been missing and what is new since September 2012! I look forward to catching up with all of you over the next few weeks.

Congrats on everything. I bet you are looking forward to that vacation, you've been a busy Dad.
