Morning guys! T-minus 44 hours give or take until we meet our son. These 2 days at work are going to fly by. DW said she was finally comfortable in bed at about 6:45 this morning (which stinks because she had to be up at 7:00). She is ready for it to be over.

The weather has been beautiful lately and my running is on track. We'll see if it stays that way when the little guy arrives.

On this date 10 years ago, Marlins beat the Cubs to force game 7 in the NLCS. They would win that game and eventually win the series. If you are a baseball fan, ESPN did a great show about the fan who tried to catch the foul ball (he was one of many), called Catching Hell.

Afternoon guys. Just got back from fedex where I sent off all the official apostilled documents for our dossier to our adoption agency. We also put together photo books for each of the kids. It was a lot of fun putting those together. I really hope they like them.

Back form a weekend trip up into the mountains to see our young’en perform (and to support the local kids in the same six-state regional competition). Beautiful weather, marginal stadium food, phenomenal entertainment, time spent with old friends, a 2nd place finish by the local High School, a couple of stunning performances by the folks at WCU, seeing our boy “actin’ all growed up” and having the time of his life…

Been waaayyy too long since checking in and trust all and the families are good. Been away mostly due to a boat load of business travel and then being sick during and in between trips

We've been busy on the farm, got a lot done over the weekend. About 2 - 3 days of running beans left (if the rain will hold off) and then it is time to hit the corn full bore.

Morning guys! T-minus 44 hours give or take until we meet our son. These 2 days at work are going to fly by. DW said she was finally comfortable in bed at about 6:45 this morning (which stinks because she had to be up at 7:00). She is ready for it to be over.

Back home after long week at wdw with the extended family. maybe we can win an emmy for best family drama series. And dodged a major accident on 81 in Harrisonburg VA. Jack knifed tractor and five cars.. just in front of us. Luck of the Irish in that it only cost us five minutes because we were able to drive around it. Didn't look like any injuries but very messy.

How was the party? And more important, how was the Meat?

The party went well, it got moved to the inside since it decide to start raining about 20 mins into it, The Buffalo steaks & Duck Bacon were a big hit even the wives got the guts to try it and everyone liked it

The party started around 5pm everyone was here by 5:30, the 1st person left around 10:30 and the last at 1:43am

Did not run out of anything, still had food and booze left, but I keep a good stock

As a life long Cub fan, I know check my sanity, this just kills me to think about it again. What everyone overlooks is that the next play after the Bartman incident, Alex Gonzalez, cubs shortstop, booted an easy one hopper. Gonzalez had the highest fielding percentage of an shortstop that year and then booted a one hopper.

Bartman's play was far from the reason they lost. It's actually comical that he gets any blame, given how many things went wrong after that. I think part of the reason it became such a big deal was the way Alou reacted to it, which was ridiculous.
