Good morning Dads!

Happy Birthday Norm & enjoy the upcoming trip! Posts lots of pics for us :thumbsup2

Well, getting ready for a second furlough in three months. What a friggin' load of nonsense. And just before our trip, too.:furious:
Sorry that the stupidity is affecting you directly. Hopefully DC will get off its backside and the insanity will be short.

Anyone listen to Disney music through their computer at work? I need a new site. I've been listening to DTuneslive.com for years but they shut down the site permanently recently. I know about d-cot but don't really like them. The selection is good but the crowd noise in the background really lessens the audio quality in my opinion. Any other sites?
In the same boat as we used the Dtunes App. Now using Sorcerers Radio but not the same and still looking for others as well.

Chris, have you tried setting up a channel on Pandora for Disney music?

I use Live365. They have a lot of different channels so if one is not working you can just try another. A few are just continual loops so once you know what they are playing, you can choose based on your mood. There are a lot of public ones and then if you pay for the VIP you get no commercials and all channels. It's also good if you want to listen to other music.

I'll try both of these.

Pandora huh! Never heard of it. Off to do some investigating.

I have found some good music using Spotify, also. I have been able to find and listen to entire Disney albums from there.

D-Cot and Live365 are the two I've tried. Pros and cons of both. D-Cot gives you the ability to play a specific track, but as has been mentioned, you wind up with crowd noise on some of them. Live365 is random and there are commercials on the free accounts, but there are several stations to bounce between.

I've wound up purchasing quite a bit of park music over the years so my iPad usually serves as workplace jukebox. (Took a while to collect all of the tracks from the Illuminations Pre-Music but I finally managed to get them all for both versions of the show.)

Also a reminder of Florida's new texting law that goes into effect tomorrow. I'm guessing none of us do this, but if you are suddenly hit with the urge to enter a new GPS destination on your phone while in motion, be aware that it may lead to shouts of Beverly.

Sounds like someone's got a case of the Mondays

Big time today... Rough night sleeping plus a VERY uncooperative and meltdown prone kid set the tone. As a result was late getting in too.

Thanks all. Difficult Monday morning. One on side is that midlife birthday (40). On the other, 4 sleeps to WDW.

A lot if us seem to have hit that mark this year.. Go figure. The Four sleeps though is a good thing.

I've got the sorcerer radio app on my phone but really haven't used it. I do like Live 365 a lot but need to renew my subscription. I don't mind Dcot I like picking and choosing what I want to hear, and use it at home for background noise.

Arkham Horror? Does it have anything to do with the Arkhams from the Batman Universe? Never heard of a board game having to do with Arkham Asylum. Video games, yes. Board games, no.

Ha, no, no batman involved at all. H.P. Lovecraft/Cthulhu universe. SUPER-nerdy boardgame genre.

I was really hoping I'd see something today about the DVC annual pass discount like they had last year, anyone heard any rumors on that? Last year is was $399 for DVC folks from Oct1-Dec31.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NORM!

Hope your day is filled with BBQ and Bourbon.

NORRRRRRRRMMMMMM!!!!!

Happy Birthday!!

I turned 40 last year and it is isn't so bad, it's just like being 20 ....with kids, a mortgage, a wife, a full time job, a ton of responsibilities, a honey do list, car payments, a ton of bills, in some cases a little less hair on your head and in most cases a little more hair in other places, in some cases 1 pound per year after 20 around your waistline, in most cases 2 pounds per year around your waistline.................

On second thought 40 is nothing like being 20......

Happy Birthday anyway....:lmao:

I hope you enjoy your vacation. :crazy2: :sad2:

I can beat that one. A kid that played select AAU baseball with my son last year was not good enough to play so he played the minimum time all season last year. We moved to a better program for the coming year, but this kids parents actually signed a letter stating that they will pay $3K for their son to play on the D1 team this coming season with no guaranteed paying time and most likely little to no playing time all season. Basically a practice player. The purpose was again just so he can say he is playing division 1. They have already been telling everyone how great he is and that he made the top division.
What's the point to have your kid sitting on the bench? They will never get better. What's the point to say your kid plays D1? :confused3 :confused3

Hey GB!

Good point! Have the wife plug in the address. :scratchin

Happy Birthday Norm!!

You just so happen to share the same birthday as my DW. We are a few years younger but not too far from that milestone. She decided to celebrate by yelling at me over the phone. I'll let it slide, she's 9 mos pregnant.

9 months?

Better get a few extra runs in before that baby pops out. :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday Norm.

40's not so bad.

41 sucks. Horrible, you'll hate it.

42. . .well, now you've got the answer to life, the universe. . .everything.

Wait two more years.

I can't figure it out either, especially since this year is the all important last year before high school and second year on the big diamond. That is why we moved DS to another team. He will be coached this year by 2 former MLB players and he has a committed pitching role and position on the field. He will be batting in the 6 hole and reality is that if these guys can't get the best out of him, not sure who can. I just don't get some people. On the flip side DS has played B team hoops all three years so far so he can be one of the top players instead of a bottom 3/4 on the A team. We kept him there to develop.

Happy Birthday Norm!!

:faint: Get the car, call the doctor and tell him we're on the way.....:rotfl2::rotfl2: Just having some fun with ya. You may want to get everything done now because time will be few and far between soon.

Happy Birthday Norm.

I have my training plan laid out and she 'says' that there shouldn't be a problem for me to keep it. Of course she won't be the one trying to run on 2 hours of sleep.

2 weeks from Wednesday we are scheduled to go in for delivery. I should get in a 9 and a 10 miler in that time frame. Then things will get interesting. I have a 10 mile race on Nov 9 with Barry. Hopefully I can maintain my fitness level between now and then.

‘Afternoon all…
Hope all are well for a Monday.

Happy Birthday AirGoofy

Norm!

This calls for extra Bourbon.
Hope you’re having a good birthday.

40?
Is that all?
Pup!

Focus on the 4 days till Disney bit of it, because turning 40 ain’t nothing.
Trust me, that one’s comparatively easy to deal with

Great seeing you and Grace again. :thumbsup2
Bambi ix-nayed the explosives - muttering something about "ordinances" and questions her life choices.

You let her know what you were up to?
Now why on Earth did you do that?
:lmao:

There are three kinds of truth.

“The Truth”
“The Actual Truth”
and “The Dang Truth” (and you should never speak the this one out loud)

This description falls in that last category
:lmao:

Sorry your getting caught up in all this foolishness.
May a sudden bout of moderation show up… soon.
