Not knowing if you’ll be working tomorrow; that’s a cave I dwell in fairly regular.
Not one dang thing good about it.

Again, may calmer heads prevail…
Prayers in either case.

No......No it wouldn't. :goodvibes

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Just catching up after a few days, but glad the Bruins gave Toronto some fun before sending them home.:rotfl2::rotfl2: Seriously, we need a new coach.

Agree. Funny how much everyone on local sports talked has jumped onto the Bruins resiliency and determination talk... They were 54 seconds away from berating this team for the next 6 months!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Only in Boston! :lmao:

No Darcy.... Turned in and went to bed after the game. Wasn't avoiding the ribbing, I've got thick skin, I can take it. :)

The leafs motto since 1967.... There's always next year

Thanks.... We are quite used to it here as well.... :rotfl2:

I thought the motto was "Losers since 67"?

Started 53 degrees this AM. Forecasted high of 82 later afternoon. :confused3

I don't worry about the other parents. I'm way out of shape, but still am out there teaching the players different foot skills. Parents have never complained to me (maybe to each other), but I guess they don't question the skills. :lmao: But, I also commit to rotating all players thru all positions and try to give them equal playing time over the season. We have two 25 minute halves, and I rotate the players (except keeper) every 8 minutes. No substitution limits. Over 2 games, playing time is mostly equal. It's not perfect because I have to wait for a stop in the play. Then, I just have to find the right player combination to compete.

Norm, if you don't like the weather in KY, hang around a few hours it'll change. Working in Lexington this morning & Louisville this afternoon. I'd rather be outside!!

Most parents are actually pretty good, but there are always a few here and there that can cause some stress. I have coached both of my kids in the sports I know. Mostly because it allows me to spend more time with them. If the time becomes available, even as an assistant, I recommend it.

I know. I just hear how it is getting even worse than it was just 5 years ago. Plus I really don't know if I have the patience to teach a bunch of 4 year olds how to kick a ball. I just got back from the park with the kids. They loaded their power wheels jeep with the tee ball equipment and we went to the park. We threw the ball back and forth 3 times before they decided to run the bases. After telling them not to do that again or we're done they lasted 2 more tosses.

Interesting to see how the local media treats this. Usually the start sharpening their knives right about now . Everyone knew going in Boston was the better team.

Happy to see the team right after go and support Reimer, after all he is the reason they made it as long as they did.

Brent, prayers for improvement in the situation.

Wish I had known that. I had to make a run out to ManO'War and Nicholasville Rd. this AM. Norm and I had a meet up in a Wal*Mart lot and this could have been my 2nd DISDad meetup.

First pick of strawberries this AM. Caught me off guard I wasn't expecting anything ripe until Friday. It is going to be an interesting year for the crops. High disease pressure and cool weather but looking at a rapid warm up with more rain. :scared:

I learned two facts yesterday from a couple of growers

We heard the first whip-poor-will last night and one of the farmers told me it was now time to plant corn.

Also learned that if we have thunder on February 20th we will have frost on May 20th.

Got my first pick of strawberries late last week and they are now coming in strong. If I keep the bunnies and dog out of the patch, I may actually have a respectful crop this year.

Corn went into the ground Saturday. My oldman farmer next door told me it was time, but to wait on all the beans (butter, grean and green peas). So, they are going in this Saturday. With mama tending to the new little addition, her canning time is rather limited this year, so I had to scale back the garden.

Continued prayers for the work stuff. Shawn's a good guy and looks nothing like his avatar. Now, me on the otherhand ..... :lmao:

I have heard and said that many times. Have fun traveling I-64.

There is not a lot of teaching U4 soccer. Give them a ball and let them at it. At U6, I started teaching some of the foot skills, but only the basics.

Wish I had known that. I had to make a run out to ManO'War and Nicholasville Rd. this AM. Norm and I had a meet up in a Wal*Mart lot and this could have been my 2nd DISDad meetup.

Don't scare him off yet! :lmao: Yes, there are DisDad meets as well. Are you going to raise honey again this year? I know it's not local, but I'd like to try it. If you do, let me know how much $.

Always listen to old farmers. On my whopping 1/5 acre, there is not a lot of room to plant anything. I did help DW's grandmother can vegetables one year. She had the jars in the boiling pot of water. It was really cool to watch and a lot of work. But, she gave us some to eat later in the season, and it was really good.

My suggestion is that is your DD would be top half of the select team, then go for it. If not, the playing time trumps the competition. Having more touches and being one of the better players will help her develop more than limited time on the field. Just my opinion. My DD played select at 9 and I pulled her back to regional this year. It really has helped her development. Of course now she may not play at all.:headache:

This was my thinking. When I try to think of it objectively, she shines as one of the best players on the team. If I was to put together an all star team from the whole league, she would make that team. (8 teams, 9 players per team). Would she start on that team? Yes - at defender. She isn't fast enough or have enough stamina to play anything else. The rec league ends at U11 for girls. Then, she has to play on a mixed team, or move to select if she is good enough. My thoughts are to keep her in the rec league for 2 more years and then go from there.

it seems when I log onto a site (this only happens to this one site I like to go on) my Norton goes nuts. a warning slides out from the lower right and states:
env.nocache (1) js is not safe and has been removed.

I click on details and it says this: threat name = Trojan malscript and a bunch of into how Trojan can effect your system. length, threat level yada, yada yada.

i have no idea what this is or how to stop it. any ideas?????

Your computer is talking zerfonics. :lmao: Who knows how to fix it?

You should have just told them you didn't want to play catch and start running the bases. I bet they would have wanted to play catch then.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I remember coaching both of my kids at 5. They have ridiculous energy and a love of everything. Lot's of dribbling and passing games and a lot of fun. The 7:15 AM start time:headache::mad: was not fun. We have an Kindergarten rule that they cannot play until then.

I set up DS in the yard with a new hitting net and tee so he could work on his batting. Anyone care to guess where the first ball went???:confused3 Anyone?? Thats right, over the net and into the side of my neighbors house. This is the look I got out the window.:mad::mad: I had to laugh since their kids used to run through the neighborhood like they owned it.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Howdy, dads! :wave2:
Dropping in for my monthly visit.

Thoughts and prayers for those that need it. :littleangel:

Congrats to those that deserve it. :cheer2:

Luck to those that need it. :shamrock:

I keep up with Facebook, but haven't spent nearly enough time around here. Trying to get that corrected. :confused3

The Bruins were a better team, but the Leafs were able to exploit the age factor. As the series went on you could tell the Leafs had younger guys out there, the B's just started to look old. Great series, and a heck of a game 7. Nice to be on the winning end, but great to watch either way.

You look exactly like yours, just less hair, right??

Yup. My youngest dd took that picture.

Well, at least it didn't go thru that window.

Or you could do the canning.
