Morning guys,

Today is National Pancake Day. Not a big fan of pancakes but those that are, enjoy.

"A couple of weeks?" CJ - you know that's still winter in Jersey, right? It's going to be cold. Like really cold. Please make sure you post pictures of you making a snow angel!

I worked out that way. Plus SH will play Syracuse and Marquette (I think) while I am there so also part of the timing. Not worried about the cold as much as snow. It has been a few years since I drove on that stuff. May buy the rental insurance which I never do. I have cold weather gear and besides, after a few days, I will be back in sunny South Florida.

My quiet Monday ended. I drove to pick up dd from dance, which is a few miles away from the house. Half way there, the engine started knocking, more a rattling sound. I chanced and said decided to pick up dd and try to make it home. Half way home, the check engine light came on, wouldn't accelerate, and as I turned onto my street in the subdivision, started smoking and died. So, dd got to drive while I pushed it a block down the road and parked it in front of the house.

Sorry about the car, but good wheel time for DD. Best to learn at about 2 miles an hour.

This weekend we had a couple of the nieces over. The girls drafted DS to play hide and seek with them. They made him be the seeker. Instead of counting he curled up in the chair and "read" one of his long Star Wars books. Needless to say, they didn't ask him to seek them out any more.

:rotfl2: Smart boy!

Bleh...working nights this week, came home early tonight, DW re-injured her shoulder/arm/chest area bad catching Audrey falling off the bed. Kid is fine, but DW aggrivated a previous injury and could barely use her arm. I came home to help her out. Got her in bed, now chilling out, watching RAW.Add this to her list of issues to see her doc about Thursday.

Prayers for your wife.

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well, I have been active in getting back in the dating game and focusing on my daughter, shes been upset more lately so I haven't been on much lately. Hope I didn't miss much, sorry Norm about the car, hope it's nothing to serious.

As much as we like to live vicariously through your dating, family comes first.

Thanks guys. I feel like shooting it. Tax value is $2700. NADA has trade in values from $1300 to $2500 and retail (dealership) was $4K. So, depending on what's wrong and how much it costs ... I hope to have it fixed.

Hope it works out Norm.

SU :) You will get to see some real basketball!

You do realize that it will be very cold diving up there in February. :lmao:

well isnt it really in NJ?:confused3

Not sure that makes it better. :lmao::lmao:

I guess technically, but they are New York teams. I know it is a new stadium and part of the deal with the NFL, but really, who chooses to play in NY in February?? It will be interesting to see who goes.

Evening guys! Looking at some profiles of waiting children. I wish I could bring them all home! It is shocking at times to see all the big medical words. Some are severe and then others are just minor things. I'm not trying to depress anyone, it has actually reminded me how grateful I should be for what I have.

We thank god every day for what we have (good and bad)! Good luck with the profiles. It's a wonderful thing you are doing to bring a child into your family. I remember looking through when my old assistant (left employment after the adoption to be home with her new baby) was adopting. It's very emotional task.

You just had to get that little dig in there didn't you?

Tuesday Morning Ownage!

That stinks! Did you find out if it is worth repairing or not? Hope it is something less expensive and easy to fix.

Did you shoot it?

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2: Laughed so hard when I read this. Sorry Norm, I couldn't stop myself. Still hoping for an easy fix.

Evening guys.

Hey Paul.:wave2: What does your schedule look like next week? I should be pretty open by mid week. How about lunch? On me this time.

Seton Hall tied with Pitt into the second half. Feel it will be a typical SH game though. They play hard, lead or at least be close, then a lot of turnovers and missed shots doom them. Found a great rate to fly to NJ to see the Pirate Princess so I will be flying up there in a couple of weeks. Might be able to catch a game live.

Safe travels. Just an FYI. It's &^%$%& cold up here. If you get the itch to see a Celts or Bruins game, let me know. I know it is a long drive, but I can see if they are home and I can get tix.

Smart kid.:thumbsup2

We will be there 17th - 24th. Staying offsite, we are using timeshare points so our room is free, and we are driving in so travel cost is not that bad. :thumbsup2

Sorry, I forgot your actual name and I'm too lazy to go back and look.:sad1: Once I have the hotel/schedule together, let's plan a time to meet up. If it works out maybe a lunch or dinner. We are trying to decide if we should stick to the moderates or maybe stay at a monorail resort this time. We usually rent a car (my rethink if on the monorail)so offsite would be OK as well.

We are using Disney points for the hotel and hoping for FD as well. This is going to be a pretty low cost vacation for us so we also do the HP/Seaworld parks.

Me! I'll be there, hopefully....:thumbsup2

Hey Brent. We'll definitely have to plan something. Do you know where you are staying yet? Looking at either POR/FQ or Poly I think. Just trying to make some decisions.

Sorry about DW getting injured. Hopefully it will heal quickly. Prayers.

Hey Philip. While we enjoy following along the ups and downs of single Disdads dating, take care of that little girl. Family first. Hope DD feels better and everything works out. Heading to DL soon right. That's sure to pick up her spirits. And don't don't forget to remind her that you now have DVC vacations to take. That would lift my spirits.:thumbsup2

I guess you're not putting enough chocolate chips in them?:confused3

We've been getting teased with snow so far this year. Most times when they predict accumulation, we've gotten nothing. So you may be ok.

SU :) You will get to see some real basketball!

Was born in Syracuse and followed them for years. SH is young, doesn't really have a good point guard and turns the ball over a lot. It won't be pretty.

You do realize that it will be very cold diving up there in February. :lmao:

I don't dive here in February. No way am I wearing a dry suit. Plus there is not much to see up there.

You just had to get that little dig in there didn't you?

Barry started it.

Would love to but don't think time will allow it. Have to go into NYC at least one day to see friends. Have to find some of my winter clothes. Hope they aren't in storage.

The Bills would be happy to play anywhere in February. :sad2:

Can't be any colder than Green Bay in January. Remember the NFC Wild Card game from a few years ago? It was like -5 with a -30 wind chill. I thought Tom Coughlin's face was going to fall off.

I'm sure Barry remembers this game too. LOLOL

Yes, I also remember sitting in Gillette stadium against the Titans with a -7 wind chill in the playoffs. The difference is that those are home playoff games determined by seeding. Someone actually had to think a February Superbowl in NY/NJ was a good idea.

That guy MUST be from Canada!:sad2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

DD def comes first, she's been doing good, both of us have been sleeping all through the night here lately. DL trip is in Oct but we have the WDW long weekend trip coming up in I think 25 days so that should help us both out. Not sure if I'll even post any specifics about my dating on the boards, last time I was interested in a woman seems like y'all went crazy haha jk

Yeah, not the best few days, but at least we made the decision to cancel. It really would have strained the budget. My fear is this is a valve or cylinder problem. Still, I'm hoping for the best.

Good luck with it, hopefully it won't be serious

Best case senario is POR, if not we fall back to safe, reliable POP :rotfl2:$$ has everything to do with it. Gotta pay for some day camps likely throughout the summer too, and snag a weekend up at that cottage again.

:yoda: Go see movie you will? :yoda:

Yoda Strikes Back

I think Yoda is a great protagonist for the first standalone Star Wars movie. I'm especially intrigued because general consensus is that my buddy Tom Kane (who does the voice for Yoda in Clone Wars) does a better Yoda these days than Frank Oz. Basically, doing Yoda for the Star Tours update was about as much as Frank could handle anymore. Which would at least suggest that Tom could have his biggest role yet coming up soon!

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I remember watching that and being very, very worried for the poor guy.

Still haven't heard. They aren't the fastest, but good work and prices, so I can wait. I got to drive the tumbler into work. I thought the shooting it comment was great.

We don't do DP anymore. Just a hassle. Have you thought about TiW?

That's because we are married and trying to remember those days.

Doing movie prequels in perpetuity? Yoda is funny to listen to, but not sure my brain could handle him speaking too long. Be I will, confused. Much take it does not.

I figured his millions would be good consolation.
