Its nice to have enough time to be able to actually check in this morning.
(that may not last long, but for right now Ill take it).
Hope the fire on the NJ boardwalk is under control. Bad timing to be sure.
You were asking about the Desert party a bit ago weve done that one.
We liked it but wouldnt do it every time. The selection of munchies is good and there is a good mix of beverages available. The location also means that its fairly calm and certainly not terribly crowded (a bonus if you happen to be traveling in the high summer when the park is slammed). The down side is that while you have an excellent unobstructed (and not so crowded) view of Wishes, it is off-center from the castle so the visual is not quite as effective as it is when youre out in front of the castle. Its still a great fireworks show though and Tinkerbelles flight even come directly toward you (which it interesting). Of course the other downside is that its a bit pricy.

With my son now out of high school, well be missing the excursion that our local school is taking in the spring (which is going to Hawaii
). But on the up side, the university hes now attending has been invited to perform in the 2014 Macys Parade (which will make him one of only two folks there that have already done that back in high school )
