Disney vacation booking ownage.

Just booked a stay at the Boardwalk in April 2014. Randall, will you please add me to the list for April 5-11? I'll do Spring Break at WDW, as long as it is not in the busy Easter season.

I'm going to call at the 7 month window and try to get a Beach Club/ Grand Floridean split stay.

Nice!

Happy Saturday all. Artsfest in State College today and some pints with good friends. Oh, and wek booked our Aug 2014 trip! Kind of excited. Randall add us to the list for Aug 16-23.

Cheers,
Indy

Nice time of the year to go.

Congrats Mark! I have a feeling my DW will be trying to schedule an appointment for me soon. We will be done after this 3rd one comes!

Awesome, thanks for thinking of me when booking this :lmao:

I envy you nemesis

I hate them too but if it makes it easier to go on vacation and it parts good I'm willing to bite the bullet.

I've had a side job a few years pulling in an extra 5K per year. It was nice having the extra income, but all we did was spend more. DW has been more willing to follow the budget, but there are still overages, which kinda defeats the purpose of the budget. Part of me wants to bring in that extra pay, but the other part fears we wouldn't have anything to show for it.

Evening....

Had a good time at the Christmas in July, although I feel bad. A lot were invited, but in the end, only immediate family and one of my brother's friends showed up. A lot of work was put into it, and a lot of people copped out at the last minute. :sad2: Feels like I've been in the sun all day, but I stay in the deep shade.:confused3

Wooo! Cool...

Thanks. It sounded like a fun event, too bad the others flaked on you. As long as you and your family enjoyed it, then it was worth it.

Thanks. So, we'll get TiW card this time since we'll have two trips for sure.

I was an only child, so I wanted to at least have two children. Our first was the trick baby - slept most of the night as soon as we were home from the hospital. The second one cried the minute she was born and didn't stop for 6 months. After that one, we both knew we couldn't handle another.

Awesome, thanks for thinking of me when booking this :lmao:

I don't think any one has ever been envious of me, so thanks. If it is any consolation, we'll only be staying in a studio at the Boardwalk. We only have enough points for a 1 BR once a year or studios twice a year.

Morning Guys.

Beautiful day here again but it is going to be hot! Soccer game for DS this afternoon and one for me tonight. At the office for a bit tomorrow and then it will be time to play the "Let's pack without DS noticing" game. Luckily he has another game tomorrow night so that will help a bit.

Good morning gents, hope all are enjoying the weekend.

Nice, we love Boardwalk
So the wife is on board with my plans to go to WDW next September, and I've started a pre-trip report here. Next up, conning, er, I mean, convincing my parents into joining us, since it IS their only grandchild, and they don't get to see him that often....
Congrats and enjoy the planning cycle

Good luck to both of you.

We do to. We bought 100 points resale at Boardwalk at $67 per point. There was another 100 point contract available, but I didn't have the money for it at the time. The only reason I may switch to BC/GF in same trip would be those are the two DVC resorts at WDW I haven't been to yet. And, as we usually go in October, BC is impossible to get then.

I want to do a trip to Aulani and DL in same trip, four days at both?, as I doubt I will ever be able to afford airfare. DW wants to go on a Disney cruise. Those just might be a 15th, 20th, or 25th anniversary trip - maybe.

I am working on our family t-shirts for our upcoming trip and I was wanting to see which of these you all would choose. I am leaning towards choice 2 or 3, but I wanted to see what others thought.

Choice 1

Choice 2

Choice 3

The place I'd go to here pays with a debit card. I'd lock that baby up and let it grow.

...Thanks to everyone for your prayers. My wife worked out a way to be able to stay through Tuesday night so she could go to the services. We drove down there yesterday and I came back today while she stayed. Things like this really give you a whole new appreciation for what you have. I definitely hugged my children harder and longer tonight when I got back to the house.

Glad it worked out for your wife and thanks for the reminder

I did that while doing the postdoc. The secret to that was the check went directly on SWMBO's student loans so we never saw it. The bees were supposed to give me some income but they have adapted to the local mentality of depending on free handouts. :headache:

I'd go with 2

I just watched Cars 2 with the family. Well, they watched it and I slept through it. Apparently I was also used as a race track if the Franchesco and Miguel cars on the blanket are any indication.

Just booked my Marathon trip flights. Great deals on Southwest right now!

Congrats!
