Anyone else playing bad piggies? I got that with the new Angry Birds Halloween season. It has been fun building the little cars and such.

‘Morning all…

Sean's buying biscuits and gravy. Everyone head to his house.

That would have been mighty good this morning.
It’s a bit of a drive to get it, but that still would have been mighty good this morning.

Good news... kids can be rough, glad she's having an easy transition.

Children seem to be nice enough thru 4th or 5th grade towards each other, although mine have told me about some kids picking on someone in 3rd grade.

They can be rough at times. I was very glad to see that my young’en made it through the first eleven grades with little to no physical or mental abuse. Something I was watching for very closely because it was far different from my own experiences.

We here in North Richmond Hill (Oak Ridges) are right in the middle of the Snow Belt.

We have had times where we've gotten a foot of snow, when Toronto has sun shinning and birds chirping (honestly).

I heard Toronto Mayor Rob Ford called 911, the birds were harassing him. Or he ate them...:rotfl2:

Good thing or Toronto may have called in the army.

:rotfl2:I still laugh at that too...when they called in the army, I hopped a bus (Mississauga Transit was still running) and went to work. We are literally RIGHT BESIDE TORONTO, how is it we didn't need to be dug out?

Okay, when they were sleeping, we pushed all our snow to them. shhh :rotfl2:

It depends who is school superintendent. We still have a few gravel & dirt roads in our county, so snow days are often called quickly. We had an interim a couple years, and didn't get many because he had kidd in school and didn't want them to go to June.

We don't have make-up days, the school calender is set. Maybe that is why our school year seems so long. But last year there were no storms so no snow days. I never even pulled my boots out.

Okay okay...let me get this straight. The NHL and Bettman says if no deal is reached by tomorrow, there is no full season.

The NHLPA wants to have more talks today, but Bettman says the NHL does not want to talk today.

So the threat is, make a deal, or no hockey, but we do not want to deal.

So DW came home crying from work at 10:30am to wake me up, apparently the issues with her subordinates hit a fever pitch this mourning and her boss attacked her for over an hour. She took the remainder of the day off. Now we are at a staff meeting and she text to say no one is talking to her and her boss ignored her. DW already has a job interview set up next week, she official hates her job again and wants to leave. She is sick of the insubordination and the lack of her boss backing her up.
So I sit waiting for her to be done and hope I don't have to calm her down again.
Ah drama of working with a bunch of women.
I think I might push her to start her cupcake business for real.
I'm sorry she's having a rough time at work. Hopefully one way or another, she can find something better elsewhere.

If she does go the route of the cupcake business, the wife of one of my best friends from college did the same, so I'm a qualified and experienced taste tester and I'm more than willing to offer my services! :thumbsup2

Morning guys!

Well, Abigail wore her eye patch at school yesterday for the first hour or so while doing here morning work and things went great! The teacher is very supportive and only one of her friends asked about it.:thumbsup2

Hope Fed is having a good time in the world, I may be headed to his neck of Georgia late Nov/Early Dec time frame.... might extend my trip by a day and make a speed run.

Matt
I'm glad to see that things are going ok so far. I hope that her eye gets stronger with this method of treatment.

Anyone else playing bad piggies? I got that with the new Angry Birds Halloween season. It has been fun building the little cars and such.
I've played it... It's fun, but not really something that keeps my attention for too long.

Woo-Hoo! #9 :cool1:

Or am I just spending way too much time in here?

Quoting yourself now? Haha it really is your thread, soo I'm not accused of post padding by King Norm ;) , after winning the rd trip tickets on the silent auction I have to decide on if I should use them to take a long weekend trip to WDW before they expire ( new fantasyland trip) or pay an extra 100 to extend the expiration and use them for next years oct DL trip, what do you guys think?

Really? You're asking us if you should take a trip to DW or not? :confused3

Go to DW and DL, I think that is clearly the rational choice.:rotfl2:

I was a fat kid growing up, so the target of jokes in middle school. I was still athletic enough to play sports and made good grades, so i was able to make it thru.

We don't have make-up days, the school calender is set. Maybe that is why our school year seems so long. But last year there were no storms so no snow days. I never even pulled my boots out.

We have 10 days of snow days built in. So, if no snow like last year, then they are out in May. If snow days, then they lose a "professional" day in February and some others, and have to make up the missed ones into June. If no snow days, then out before memorial day in May. My problem is that they get movie day, pajama day, inside out day, etc. Why not just eliminate that garbage and let them out in May.

Let me people go.

I've played it... It's fun, but not really something that keeps my attention for too long.

I'm almost thru the ground ones and moving forward. I agree i like Angry Birds better.

You have no idea how much truth is in this statement!!

Don't sell yourself short. We have to put up with all their crap too.

My wife is a stay at home. We keep talking about a bakery or restaurant business. Kids love to bake and be involved. Pretty sure DD is thinking she wants to be a chef/baker when she gets to that point in her life. DisDads cupcakes.......Hmmmmmm, has a nice ring doesn't it?:lmao:

Or am I just spending way too much time in here?

That's not possible. The only way it could be true is if you spend too much family time. But, if you're wasting work time or posting during their 5 billion activities, then it is ok.

Really? You're asking us if you should take a trip to DW or not? :confused3

Go to DW and DL, I think that is clearly the rational choice.:rotfl2:

Clearly, this is the best advice. We exist to support the Disney addiction, not prevent it. :lmao:

Well, I managed to get thru the last 2 work hours. Now, I have to be available for the next two hours, as there is a meeting going on 3 hours away that I may need to be called to teleconference with. What's better than a meeting? Being on standby for a meeting.

Barely any last year, no snow days taken. We escape a lot of bad winter weather due to where we are on Lake Ontario. Hamilton to the west where my brother is gets hit hard, south in Niagara/Buffalo, east of us at Whitby/Oshawa, and to the north (Brian, how is it where you are?) depends where you go, Barrie etc gets hit hard too.

Misissauga is just a big freaking suburb of 600000 people, not much exciting. We have the world's ugliest buildings in the "downtown core"

And our mayor is the Crypt Keeper
Mayor_Hazel_McCallion-1.jpg

On the plus, we have a Disney Store

City with the ugliest buildings and a crypt keeper in the basement. Sounds like a promo to me.:lmao::lmao:

We were in Niagra this summer on vacation. The weather was beautiful and had a lot of fun. Maybe we can take a little side trip to visit if we go again next summer.

We only had one snow day last year. It was the mildest weather I can remember ever. When I was a kid we had feet of snow over the winters and it lasted until May some years as it was so deep and frozen. I say "bring on global warming!". But I am guessing we will get hammered this year as punishment for last year.

No make up days here either. This year school started on September 5th, ends for Christams break on December 21. Start back on January 9 and ends on June 21st.

Bettman is a tool. THe NHL said they didn't want to meet because the NHLPA didn't want to talk about the offer the league made. Sit the beverley down and work something out!!!

Really!

I post pad... But I don't deny it, and I never call anyone out when they do.

His comment was he never names names of post passers. Which he does often.... But he clearifies, and said only in that post. :rotfl2:

Oh, I don't care about that. Actually, I had no idea why you even said "Never." I just thought it looked like a good spot for a "Really?":lmao:
