DIS Dads DDC XXII - End of Summer Bash

Yes....an overhaul....


There's some guys on here that I have contact with via Disboards.com, disdads.com, Facebook, email, text message, Fantasy Football Sites...its hard to keep track, so you get one birthday wish from me in one medium or another.

Except the Canadians. I'll send one by smoke signal too, because I don't know how fast the Internet gets to them.

I forget to check my FB app for birthdays. It's too much work.

Barry, You will be happy to know I was not able to draft Erin Rodgers so he is safe from my curse. My apologies to Cowboy and Patriot fans.

Well, I drafted Brady, Ridley, & Lloyd, so I am all in on Pats. And, I hate Brady and the Pats. So, I eith get to cheer for my fantasy team doing well or cheer that that they lose every game. Either way, I'm not going to do well with this.

Aah the memories. Lots of tears when the Pirate Princess was dropped of at Pre-K. Of course they were from her mother and myself. She was like, "See ya. I'm going to school now." Less tears as time went by until by the time I dropped her off at Seton Hall, it was, "See ya." "Yea, see ya. Study hard and call me later."

No tears when both dds went to school. I may set fireworks off when I drop them off at college campus.

All I could think on the way home: "Well, they're the school's problem now!" .

Thanks, DW started running earlier in the summer so that should keep me motivated.

Both dds are running cross country. I told them if I can lose enough weight, then I'll run with them. Problem is that both of them already hate and are begging to quit. I told them they signed up, then they have to see it thru to the end.

I wish Great Movie Ride would get a total overhaul!

it's not that bad. We still ride it every time we go to DHS.

Afternoon All.

I decided today was the day to start running again. I did 5K over lunch in 41 minutes, not as fast as when I raced but that was 25 years ago. The goal is to go every second day for now and see how I make out.

Congrats. I tight about exercising today, but again, did not. I have however not eaten junk food yet or consumed alcohol yet.

Back to work today. I get the privilege of sitting in on a 2 hour discussion on the terms and conditions of our standard client contracts for the purposes of negotiating minor changes for a client. Please send me a wake up around lunch time.

Tuesday ownage.

Nine Dragons is excellent and underrated, but I you can't beat the view at Coral Reef.

I called DVC today and Vero Beach Resort was booked, so we are doing WDW for Easter week. DW agreed to Nine Dragons for our last day there, so things are looking up.

Another long day at work today. Going to take care into mechanic tomorrow (rubbing when press brakes). Have to take one dd to cross country and the other dd to dance tonight. Will have to break out the Tumbler.

One of the highlights (for me, I live a sheltered life) from the Ex this year was the Coke booth had the Freestyle Machines. Lots of fun making custom pop. Too bad I never got a pic of it. Forgot to.
