a few pics we had taken for DD upcoming birthday.

Adorable. I look forward to the time she is my driver at AK Safari.

There's no doubt he's had his problems. He's admitted it himself. I think he'll be happy to be reunited with Cutler. If the Fins had someone who could have gotten him the ball more consistently his stats could have been Megatron-like.

I hope he gets his life together. You need to watch the tapes of Dolphin games and the numerous times the ball hit him in the hands and he just dropped it. That includes about 6 TDs. I am not really happy with the trade but hope it works out for the Bears. At least it wasn't the Patriots.

Howdy howdy howdy...have a chance to pop on here, things have been busy lately, hope I haven't missed anything critical...

I multi quote and go back to read all the posts.

I know you do. And I commend you for that.

But you had passed me up, and I wanted to take back the lead position.

So I jumped in where I was, and didn't multi-quote.

What's the bet?
I'm game for anything.... :drinking1

Some experts have said UCONN might not make it to Saturday... I've also heard UCONN is going to win this game by 20... I'm scared because I have no idea what UCONN team is going to show up. I hope we can defend the 3 tomorrow.

Coincidently, I had my 6 month review today. Our annual performance reviews are in Sep, but they do a 6 month in the middle for some reason or another. I didn't even realize it was that time of year until I was called into the boss' office. It went something like this:

Boss: We need to do our 6 month performance review, do you have a few minutes to come into my office?

Me: Sure

Boss: You're doing a good job, I have no problems with the work you're doing, do you have any questions, comments or complaints about any co-workers or anything going on here.

My Internal Monologue: Well, I could complain all day long about you, but that probably isn't a good idea

What I actually said: Nope

Boss: Ok, thanks, can you send ____ in, please?

:thumbsup2 I'm still employed

So has Norm replaced Barry as the Dis Dad Piñata?

Geez. I hope not. :sad2:

Kinda stepped in a big pile of **** today, my wife and her friend took the kids for a bike ride when they saw a couple blocks away people were moving out and they had a sign Free swing set, well anyway I get a call to get over there to check it out, It was almost like new, it is metal but the rust proof one with a fort, of course I want it, they told me it had to be out of there by tonight, I rounded up a few of my buddies, and within 15 minutes of talking to the people we were taking it out of there yard, we were getting looks from people since we took it in one piece and it 15ft long with the fort & slide:lmao:

It was even funnier to see us carrying a shed down the street since my friend wanted it, and they were giving it away:rotfl2:

Free is good! :thumbsup2

We received a free swing set last fall from neighbors a couple of doors down. It wasn't in the best condition (slide part had to be removed & disposed of), but replacing the swing seat wasn't that expensive, so my DD has a swing of her own now. She loves having it. I had built her one back when she was 1 - but it wasn't the sturdiest thing ever, so when she outgrew the toddler swing - I cut it up and used the pieces in the fire pit.

So the college mailer pile continues to grow in this house. DS16 has now received about 75 different mailers. Kinda crazy. Tonight was another College Night at the HS. We didn't make this one, but there'll be another one in the spring. We're planning on getting to that one. He has to turn in his fall semester schedule here in just a couple of weeks. I find it strange that they submit their schedule so far in advance, but that's the way they do it here. He made the Honor Roll again. We're quite proud of him.

Oh yes, and DS13 was able to advance to LIFE Scout on Monday evening. Now I have two LIFEs in the house. :thumbsup2 He's already thinking about what kind of an Eagle Project he might do.... It's a great thing, but I wasn't prepared for the possibility of two different Eagle Projects in the same year! :scared1: DS16 is supposed to be doing his this spring. Phew. It might be a crazy kind of year around here. DS16 only has his Project left to do, and then once he completes the Eagle Book, he will be eligible for Eagle. DS13 has all of the various Merit Badges as a LIFE Scout and his project and book... but as he told me, he wants to get the Project out of the way and then concentrate on the MB's - opposite of how his brother did it.

I'm going through all of the boxes that I brought home from my office last September - finally. It's kind of fun to see some of the "stuff" once again. I'm not putting it out, but I am starting to purge some of the unnecessary junk. I boxed up that office early on a Saturday morning and just put it all away in the garage. Haven't opened a single box until now. It was kind of fun - because I just used the last of our Dayquill a couple of weeks ago when I had a bad cold - and lo and behold, there's a brand new box inside one of the office boxes. :cool1: Now I don't have to buy more the next time I have a cold, as that new box is now in the medicine chest.

It's the little things. :)

And you know, with all of those boxes (there were 13 of them), 2 were completely just junk. It was nice to be able to haul 2 full boxes out to the trash / recycling. All kinds of stupid papers and stuff that I just don't need, nor will ever need again. One was actually the recycle box that I used to fill with excess papers and such from the printer, that would eventually get shredded as the box got filled. After dumping the other junk that had been filled inside the empty space of that box - I gave our shredder a nice workout. It's nice to get rid of stuff.

So this evening I spent some time going through the online version of the paper looking for groups and associations that I can market too. There sure are some interesting sounding groups out there.

Last week I was in the paper, and when the article appeared, I was contacted by two different groups who want me to come and present to them about what I do and the industry as a whole. Older, middle-aged folks, who can afford the products I sell :) and want to do some group travel. I like that! :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is my networking group. I've joined a couple of different ones plus the Chamber of Commerce. I know it might not seem so here in this setting, but I really am a very introverted guy. Getting up in front of people has always been difficult for me, except in my youth in the theatre, when I could hide behind bright lights and not see people's faces. This whole getting out there and putting myself out there has been a bit difficult for me. It's much easier being behind a phone or computer screen.

This ghastly face is often how I feel before I step into a situation where I don't know people, or something like that.

I hate being introverted, but that's the reality for me. I've always been an extreme I on the Myers-Briggs tests.
