Spending too much time on the other boards I guess!

Or is someone laying in wait to pounce at the end of this page?

Usually, Man plans, God laughs.

But not in this case...

Good to know that God has better things to do than monitor the Disboards!

So what's the latest? Can we post about Bacon Girls here?

That's good. Some of the coaches I have seen (thankfully, only a couple, out of several dozen) seem to be obsessed with winning at all costs, even at this level. I'd rather my kids be coached by someone who is going to work on skills and drills, learning the basics of the game and having fun, rather than being on a team where some kids are benched because it might jeopardize that important win.

I wish more folks had this mentality. I coach our kids to have fun and learn the good things about the game. They are really doing well! Unfortunately, the other team we played on Saturday does not play by this philosophy. The coach was a real peanut buttery kind and the kids were rotten. Pushing my players... calling names out on the field. The kicker was a the end of the game and were all shaking hands, there were girls on the other team spitting on their hands before shaking our girls hands. I used it as a teaching moment to show what NOT to do. Inside, I was furious. There's no need for that stuff in developmental soccer. sheesh.

But to be honest, DS had to remind me it was Monday; I haven't stopped since LAST Monday. And THIS is going to be my busy week, including 3 days and nights at sea shaking out the new ship. I wish they'd let me up on the bridge; I don't like having no idea where we are or what's going on. But I don't wear khaki any more, so that's not my job.
But, so far, so good... looks like the Navy will have a shiny new Gator Freightor soon :D
<Wow, no Big Grin smilie.. who runs this place??>;):lmao:
Take care, y'all... see yas when I get back.
And Dave Z, if there was any connection from the 7 Seas Lagoon to the Gulf of Mexico, I'd lead the mutiny and pay you a visit. :thumbsup2

Thanks for helping put together another fine Navy ship! :thumbsup2

Morning Guys!

Gonna be a rough day around here. Found out last night that everyone else but me is making decisions about one of my programs and I am not happy about it. :headache: I have a email in to my ILS manager to talk about this and some of the other things I'm concerned over.

Matt

Sorry to hear that, Matt. Need me to hack into their appraisal DB? :lmao:

Thanks Dave. I have to admit I was livid last night, and thankfully I did not let my buddy Sam Addams convince me to email everyone last night. Im thinking I will use the calm and collected method rather than the righteous anger approach.:surfweb:

Matt

Good idea !:cool2:

It is an ever changing system. For $29.99 a month, I can send you the complete zerfonics translation guide along with a free gift.

And if you act now you'll receive a commemorative, autographed picture of Zerfs on the can! :rotfl2:

Maybe just this one...

A big shout out to Andy, Tim, and Steve. With your posts about refinancing, I contacted my bank. They had some type of abbreviated refinance (Andy, they didn't use the term conversion) where they don't actually do a home appraisal but a comparison of recent sales and then all the other stuff - title check, credit scores, etc. It is $199 closing cost. Bottom line is that I get a lower fixed interest rate and for the same house payment, will have the house paid off in 10 years as opposed to 11. Even better, there are Republic Banks in Florida for my big retirement move one of these days.

So, Andy, Tim, and Steve, I will buy you each a beer whenever we meet up at WDW, assuming everything goes through. Thanks. :drinking1

Good to see. I hope it all goes through for you. :thumbsup2

And the pull of procrastination is strong

I know that feeling all too well. Top Ten Reasons To Procrastinate:

Nice! I'm looking at re-financing too. Mostly because I'm ticked off at my current bank.

Sheesh indeed. The other coach really could not help racking up the score, either. He only had one extra kid, and he did a pretty decent job of swapping players out, so he could not swap both of the kids that were really good on the other team at the same time. The boys took losing kind of hard (understandably), and the coach gave them all a talk about how the important thing is to play and have fun, and yes, sometimes, you lose. It happens, and it's no reason to not shake hands and say "Good game" when all is said and done.

Back to painting the room. Hoping to finish the first coat by lunch, and then I can do a quick second coat afterward.
