good news/bad news

Not sure what category any of this is in, but my garden talk tomorrow was cancelled (already prepared but I've given the talk so many times I am tired of it.) This could save me 4 hours on the road IF they are kind to me and cancel my TV spot which I haven't heard yet.

If I still have to do the TV spot is a 4 hour drive for a 10 minute talk for local access cable rather than a full day of talks and meetings which would at least make the trip worthwhile.
