DDA Chapter 9

We went to a pirate birthday party for my nephew yesterday. It was at my DB and SIL's house and was to be a pool party. None of the adults got in the pool since it never got above 65 degrees here and the sun was nowhere to be seen. I am apparently the "coolest aunt in the world" since I found a Ben 10 lunch box and a Ben 10 action figure that opens his mouth and belly ... :rotfl:

I hope I did not miss any post's, I see the dis is still being funny.

It sure was! I tried to post last night but it wasn't cooperating. :sad2:

Happy belated birthdays to Debbie and Lucy.

Congrats to Debbie - another goal met!!

Elizabeth -sounds like your Mom may be doing a little better now. And please tell DH that his heron pictures were great!

We are sad to see the Comedy Club close. We spent many delightful hours there over the years and will miss it. :(

My family would be delighted to have the LTT eliminate its characters. We have found that it is becoming more difficult to find a middle-of-the-road TS restaurant in a park that doesn't have characters. However we also know we are in a minority (I think) so never thought it would happen.

Hello all! We are back and had a wonderful week! Sunday and Monday were spent at Silver Dollar City. Dad came down on Sun evening and left Tues morning so we did SDC with him on Mon. Tuesday we relaxed at the condo, swam and played miniature golf. Wed was more relaxing and not much else. My aunt and 3 cousins arrived on Wed evening. Thurs evening and Fri was Silver Dollar City again. After a night and morning of torrential downpours we finally got on the road around lunchtime today.

Now we're getting ready to head out for some dinner and then to watch fireworks with Kristi and family plus maybe Erin, et al. Tomorrow is God and Country service at church plus the big church picnic so it looks like I won't be catching up much. If anyone has a brief synopsis of the last 70 pages, I'd love an update. I hope that everyone is doing well. Lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: to you all!

Sounds like lots of fun for you, Tia! :goodvibes I think of you often this week. The Bertram Inn is at Coolidge Corner (at the corner of St. Paul and Sewall) and that was one place you and I had "talked" about when Kathrin was looking around up here. I could see myself in this area!

Vicki - your pictures are wonderful, especially the ones at the Contemporary!

Stephanie - You will have to let me know about your Wii and Wii Fit. Kristin has talked and talked about it and we have been considering it... Good luck!!! And keep posting your progress here, please.

Marci and Janet - tell your boys good luck on their games today!!

Jennifer - I hope your toe/foot is better today.

There is a dense fog advisory this morning. :( In about 3 hours we are meeting my DB and SIL and DN in Salem for breakfast and a day of witchery and piracy there. Can't wait!! :goodvibes

Before I hop in the shower... has no one heard from Lindsay yet? I hope Tammi and Bob and the kids are having fun in PA. She hasn't posted anything, has she?

I will check in with you later. Enjoy your mornings, everyone. :)

Work, then vacation, then a business trip and now catch-up from all of that have had me way behind, then throw in baseball, Baptisms, camps etc.

Welcome back Marci!

That sounds YUMMY! If I get myself to the store soon, I can probably get it done.

My friend told me that she's now expected to bring the jello pretzel salad to Cub Scout functions. It's really yummy!

Here's some photos from the Walking with Dinosaurs show that I saw last night! It was awesome!

My sister just treated my mom to this show on Thursday night. It looks incredible!

So let me know when anyone sees Wall.E... I want to know what you think! Kyle liked it a lot. I thought the story was very mediocre, but the characters were phenomenal! It's definitely very different from any other Pixar movies!

I'm so impressed you "sneaked out" to the movies! I hope your mom and sister had fun with the girls. :)

Nope, not a pregnancy brain, it was my birthday today. We spent the day at the water park, and then went to Outback for dinner. Followed by sugar free strawberry shortcake at the house, it was really quite good.

It looks like Noah won't make his arrival on my birthday, but my mom's is July 1st and that's a good one too.

I couldn't help but notice not too many of you trusted me though! :rotfl:

Noah may decide July 1st is good. ;)

Of course my mom forgot to call me after her appointment. I called her about 7 PM. The Dr. agrees that her symptoms now are likely side effects from the antibiotics. She sees the surgeon again on Wednesday, but I really hope she is feeling better before then! Monday will be her last dose of one med so maybe that will help.

I got an e-mail from Karen saying her dad is doing OK. They are working on managing his pain and he will be discharged one day next week. Good thoughts for him for a quick recovery! :wizard:

Thanks for the update from Karen.

I hope your mom is finally starting to feel better! :wizard:

I can't wait til tomorrow but at the same time I really don't feel like it's been a year since Lucy was born (maybe because it is a few days earlier but still ;)). I just don't want her to get any bigger.

I will check in at some point tomorrow. Have a great Saturday!

I hope it was a wonderful day for you all, and I can't wait to see pictures! :goodvibes

The family is still asleep so I'm going in and work on a routine so I can lose some weight. I know I should put this on the other thread, but I hope you'll indulge me and allow me to keep it here. Thanks.

So I'm off on my Wii adventure to get ready for the cruise!!! :boat:

You can do it Stephanie! :yay:

DH posted these on the Photo boards, but nobody over there has commented. He doesn't post photos over there very often because he still doesn't quite get the whole PhotoBucket process, and those guys tend to play a little too rough.

Neat pictures!

We are hoping to take the kids to the drive-in to see it tonight. I'll let you know if we do, or if Alan and I end up doing something more grown up for our date night.

I hope you had a great night, whatever you decided to do!

We just got back from the movies. Leighanna and I give Wall-E two big thumbs up!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I hope to see it soon!

It was a zoo today at work. All I thought was "you people could be at the beach right now..or the pool or the park, why are you shopping??? Go outside!!!":rotfl:

I'm just jealous you have a Disney Store!

Hello all! We are back and had a wonderful week!

Welcome home Tia!

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Great pictures, Vicki!

Today was busy with baseball. Andrew didn't do too well, so I'm hoping tomorrow is better. I finally made time between games to go to a doc in a box place to get some meds for my sinus infection.

I hope today is a better baseball day, and hope those meds kick in fast, too!

I forgot the vacuum was in the hallway this morning and I stubbed my toe on it. Cut the underside of my toe on it and jarred my back and shoulders pretty good

Going to Waco tomorrow to the Zoo and then lions amusement park, then to a great Museum on Mon that is in Waco they have an awesome Children's museum.

Ouch! Sounds like you have a couple days ahead! Post some pictures, please!

There is a dense fog advisory this morning. :( In about 3 hours we are meeting my DB and SIL and DN in Salem for breakfast and a day of witchery and piracy there. Can't wait!! :goodvibes

I love the pictures you've been posting Elin! Please post a lot from your trip to Salem. I loved teaching The Crucible!

Our Saturday didn't exactly go as planned, but it wasn't because Noah decided to make an early arrival.

Matty wasn't really in the mood to get his portraits taken, and I don't think the photographer was in the mood to take pictures either. She did catch a few good expressions, and I still managed to spend over $100. I'll post some of my favorites when they send me the online link. :)

We were supposed to go to Kings Island with Julie and family last night, but a big storm rolled in, knocking out our power again. Luckily, it came back on about an hour later, but we had to scrap our plans. Hopefully we can reschedule one evening this week, but Noah may have other ideas. :teeth:

I haven't been sleeping well at all...too much on my mind. Today, I'm going to bake some brownies for the neighborhood picnic (hopefully the rain will hold off this evening), and I'm going to bake a cake to throw in the freezer for Matty's official birthday on 7/7 (we're delaying the "big party" until 8/17). I have a bunch of laundry to do, and I still need to finish packing my hospital bag.

I hope you all have a great day! :wave2:

Jen (P), your package arrived this weekend! Thank you so much for the adorable outfits for Noah! More froggies! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Good morning all...Lucy's party was a lot of fun and she enjoyed being the center of attention! She had so much fun and loved interacting with everyone.

Here are some pics from the party.

The cake, (I didn't get a pic of her smash cake apparently)

ADORABLE pictures, Robyn! Love all the smiles! Your cakes and Lucy's t-shirt are awesome, too! :goodvibes

I hope it was a good day for all!

Great new signature, too!

No more Comedy Club!!!!!!!!

Chuck, Vicki, Deb and Chris we made it just in time!!!!!!

That night was so much fun!!!! I really liked the Comedy Club. That would be one place they should keep. Not sure why they would close it. :confused3

So I was woken up this morning by a phone call. How do I get to camp? It was early so I thought something was wrong. Nope just my Mom's best friend calling to find out how to get her daughter to camp.

I am glad everything is OK, I think a nap will be in order later today. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Jennifer hope you have fun today & your toe does not bother you to much!

Amy thanks for sharing the pictures of Jennifer's sweet peas & the pictures of Alyssa & Matty. Sounds like you are pretty sure Noah will be here in a couple of days :goodvibes

Robyn looks like Lucy had a wonderful time! I think we all need to plan a meet at your home for some cake :thumbsup2

Elin I am enjoying your pictures as well. Look forward to hearing about Salem, sounds like a interesting day. Hope you all enjoy!

Hey my post is where it should be & the time is right! :yay: for no more twilight zone :rotfl:
