Sounds like Noah will be here soon!

I'm back from my appointment. Just a little change from last week; now I'm 4 cm. dialated, still 60% effaced. She offered to strip my membranes (sorry TMI, Tom!), but I said, "no thank you!" :)

I forgot another reason I wasn't ready to have Noah. I'm not ready to diet! :rotfl: For whatever reason, I'm not one of those people who loses all her pregnancy pounds while nursing, so I'm indulging a little bit more this week. :teeth:

They are tiny! I'm glad you noticed that :rotfl: I have people argue with me, telling me they "can't be" 5 pounds when they look so big in the pictures. I agree that they do look big for whatever reason in any of them without other objects/people for comparison, but I assure you that I see them in person and they are legitimate 5 pounders :rotfl:

In the pictures of the days to come, I have some funny shots of them in carseats, etc where they look smaller. We'll see if I ever get those uploaded.

Leslie was roughly the same size as Avery when she was born: 5 pounds 2 ounces. We took the girls to the hospital the day after we got home for their heel pricks, and when we got them home, I had to snap a picture of her in her car seat. I had made covers for them, and you seriously couldn't tell there was a baby in there. She was snuggled down into the bottom of the seat, and it just looked like a blanket tossed in the car seat.

It's amazing how tiny they are, huh? I remember holding both of them, at one point, and thinking that it was amazing that I was holding 2 babies instead of just one!

Sounds beautiful Tom :goodvibes

When Leighanna was born, I got my wife a necklace with a charm on it of a heart with a mother holding her child. It came with note that said something like, "Although you didn't grow in my tummy, you grew in my heart." She still treasures that necklace.

Glynis you asked for a recap....let's see how well I do:

As you have seen Jennifer had the 2 pretty girls we can't get enough pictures of. :goodvibes

Noah has been asked by his mommy to stay in utero for another week:lmao: ...Amy has a lot going on this week that she doesn't want to miss (plus she hasn't packed her hospital bag;) ).

A few are back from trips: Vicki, who will not be travelling with her sister anymore, enjoyed her trip. Kristine-had an exhaustive 3 week trip and we all want to be adopted by her.

Marci is on a trip to Chicago and DC.

Elin and the Brooks are getting ready to go on their trips this weekend.

Tammi had last week off and then works 3 days this week and is until July 21st. Nicholas is playing baseball well. They met up with Miss Elin last week for a trolley tour of their fair town.

Karen's dad is having heart surgery and she is a bit stressed as there are a lot of other things going on also.

Elizabeth's mom had her cancer surgery and while succesful it did show evidence of cancer in her lymph glands. Elizabeth spent the weekend there and it's a good thing she did as her mom had some complications.

Becky has been a busy girl (as usual).

Robyn-did an amazing job on a soccer ball and a horse cake. We have all been telling her she'd make a killing doing it. She is running herself ragged and had us giggling thinking about her drinking 9 beers in one sitting...silly girl.

Janet had a boil order for a little while....such a strange concept for most of us.

Denise had her tests and her surgery will go as scheduled and the kiddos had succesful birthday parties this past weekend.

Jen has not heard from the job in a district that she really wanted:worried: (she also hasn't been posting much...Jen come back and chat!!::yes::)

Jennifer has not posted pictures of our 2 favorite redheaded Texans lately but I know she is doing okay as she was my sounding board on Sunday for a good 2 hours.

Tom posted adorable pictures of Leighanna from a trip they took to an amusement park...he also has to post more!!

Terry and Stephanie should be a comedy duo as they've been cracking us up with their stories.

We got the official paperwork this afternoon to get our house out of foreclosure. I have had some stuff happen lately that I don't want to go into but I still need prayers for fortitude....plus had an interview for a job I REALLY want and feel called to do so I'd appreciate prayers for that too.

I have a question for you...I tried calling last week but all I got was a funny noise like a full answering machine...do you have a full machine??

For those I forgot I am sorry....I always seem to forget at least one person.

Wow! Great recap, Theresa! Thanks. I'll keep you in my prayers, as I always do!

We actually have our phone line attached to a fax machine for Alan's business. If we don't pick it up before 4 rings, it goes to the fax machine. I hate it, but Alan says it's necessary.

MIL was here 10am-7pm, so I'm absolutely exhausted mentally. It was not what I would call a fun day by any means, but it wasn't terrible. I hope you all are doing well. I'm off to tuck the babies in and get ready for the next round of 3-hour-blocks :teeth:

How long do you have to keep up the 3 hour thing? Mary was a good eater right from the first, but Leslie wasn't. However, they told us that she was doing well enough by the time we went home, that we didn't need to wake her up to eat. She got a lot better as time went on.

When my mom was really ill with her cancer she had one friend that was always there for her, she was the type that never visited empty handed.

She had a really bad marriage but refused to give up, well Friday night during an argument her husband stabbed her to death.

Oh, Debbie! That is awful!

Seems like bad things are happening all over the place. Alan had to cover the story of 2 teenagers on bullet bikes that were racing through a neighborhood and crashed into a block party, sending several small children to the hospital.

Thanks guys! i am done working on monday so i think that will make the trip seem like it is co ming and i can get ready.

I nkow the right job will come along, just getting frustated i guess..I just looked online at the open positions in the distirct that called me for an interview..only things posted are an after school aide 2 hours a day, and a bus driver

Well, if you wanted to move to Utah, I know of a school that lost about 7 teachers this past spring. Including a kindergarten teacher. Just a thought!

Seriously though, frustration will happen, but don't give up. Interview for anything that comes along, as you never know what doors will open up for you.

Continued :wizard: that your children all feel better soon!

Thanks for all the well wishes for Lizzy. I called DH and he said she was doing OK-just puttering in her room quietly-hadn't eaten too much yet-just a banana. Seems like some wierd virus is going around and it shows in a variety of ways. Emma has the very high fever and itchy, Joe had a low grade fever and nausea, Lizzy had a low grade a few days ago and very tired and then the episode last night. One of my friends kid's had it for 8 days.:scared1:

O M G Debbie. I'm so sorry this happened. Many hugs to you and her family. I don't know what to say. This is just horrific.

Glad to hear your mom is home & that you get to go home as well!

Mom is home now, and I am leaving for the airport in about 20 minutes. For some reason my aunt decided she wants to leave at 5 PM instead of 6 PM. Whatever. As long as I make my flight!

Glynis-you are catching up nicely.:thumbsup2 I am waiting for Jim to fall asleep and then I am off to bed.

So excited...tomorrow is the first day I get to go to a farmer's market...if I gotta pay more for my fruits and veggies I want them to go to producer themselves!!

It's nice to be back on line and chatting with you all.

I've been a bit nervous lately, as I feel like there might be something wrong with my pregnancy. I began feeling the baby move while in London. Not a lot, and not every day. When I was with my parents, the same thing. However, I haven't felt any movement since we got home Sunday night. I'm trying not to worry myself into miscarriage, but it's getting harder. Alan is not here, either. It's primary election day here, and he's covering the results. So, I'm alone, trying not to worry.

I think I'll give my doctor a call in the morning and see if I can come in. I have an appointment on the 2nd of July, but I really need to put my mind at ease about this. I guess I'm on edge because of the miscarriage last summer. I really think that would devastate me at this point.

Since it looks like I'm the only one around, I'll finish uploading my photos and work on my trip report.

You have all of my prayers that peanut is sticking!! I hope you get in tomorrow just to put your fears to rest.

How sweet & they look so wide awake!

We have some hospital pictures online, finally! I guess they've been up a couple of days, but I never got the email I was supposed to :confused3

That's it! The baritone! I knew it was like some instrument my hubby used to play! Thanks for enlightening me!

The Euphonium and Baritone are like the Cello in the string instruments.

Hal started on the Euphonium and now can play the Tuba. He gets a lot of job requests for both. In the band he plays in, he actually now plays the Trombone.

There is always the military bands. Then you get money for schooling. Their training is very top notch, very demanding. Many options.

Deb, Chris and family,
Have a safe drive and flights. Have a great trip and stay healthy and safe.
Can't wait to see pics and read all about your trip

I am exhausted so I am not commenting on much, but Debbie, I am so very sorry! How truly horrible!! :(

I was able to get on an earlier flight so I made it into the car by 9:45 PM instead of still being in KC waiting to take off at 9:45. It was a flight that was supposed to go at 6:45 but when I walked up at 7:40 they were just starting to board. I feel bad for the delayed people, but it sure worked well for me!

We got our ME tags today. It seems like that ticker is going faster now that I have my mom to worry about. :worried:

I'm going to bed now. Chat with you all tomorrow.

Oh, and Glynis, I hope everything is OK!! :wizard:
