DDA Chapter 9

I just printed our boarding passes for our Southwest flight tomorrow morning. I was online exactly 24 hours prior to our departure and, although we are in the "A" Boarding Group, we are still 26-28 in line to board. I wonder how fast I would have to be to get #1?

;) You'd have to buy Business Class to get A 1-15. So you were really fast this morning to get 26 and 28. That's only 11 people before you! :teeth:

Morning DDA!

I just printed our boarding passes for our Southwest flight tomorrow morning. I was online exactly 24 hours prior to our departure and, although we are in the "A" Boarding Group, we are still 26-28 in line to board. I wonder how fast I would have to be to get #1?

Chanon is faster than me. ;) Yep, business select goes in front, but if there aren't that many business people you won't be #26. When DS and I flew home from KC the first time we had A 20-something and we were able to sit bulkhead. Tuesday I had A 33 (and I had forgotten to check in until about 8 hours before the flight!) but since I switched flights that didn't help me. A & B had already boarded when I got my pass at the airport. It was A 38 but the plane was pretty full. Middle seats all the way to the very back! :rotfl2:

Elizabeth :wizard: :wizard: that the chemo goes smoothly for your mother. Remember everyone will be different, the girl on the cancer thread may of had problems, but my mom did not. She didn't even get sick and she only had a small burn with her radiation, while some people burn badly.

Thanks, Heidi! :goodvibes Hopefully it will be OK.

Ok, here's a quick story all of you Disney fans...

I was in a group of mom's talking today. Someone mentioned their DS was going to see "The Wallys".

The other mom said "Wall E??"

The first mom said "Oh yea, that's it"...

so then I say "Yeah, It's short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth Class"....

You could have heard a pin drop.

I am caught up but stopped replying because I am falling asleep at the computer! I have not packed yet. I know, I know, Elizabeth! I have all the clothes out and ready to pack, but just ran out of time. I have a LOT to do tomorrow before Kristin and I leave here about 1:00. I also have to teach two classes in the morining so I have less time than I thought. Oh, well... it will get done.

Talk you all in the morning.
I hope you have a great visit too, Elin!

Our transfer bled last trip too. Katie is so done with matching shirts that I am not sure how many we plan on wearing in August.

You, too, huh? I'm hoping that I can talk Laura into a few simple ones. We'll see. She did tell me that any of her friends would be hysterical if there mothers attempted it.

Tammi & Elin enjoy your trips!

Jennifer enjoy your movie night with Kyle!

Deb your trip is almost here :cool1:

Stephanie good luck with the flights :wizard:

Glynis - Yay for trip planning! :cool1:

Anne Marie - I couldn't have rattled off what it stands for. :rotfl2: Good for you!

Stephanie - That is a big old serious boat! I think I would be scared to go on something that huge.

Diva said Ms. Selfish is looking at coming to visit July 11. Which is fine, as long as Mom feels better. That will be well before her chemo begins, so Mom can see the little ankle biters and send them home before her first infusion. The problem I am left with is what to do if her infusion doesn't go well. :headache: One of the girls on the breast cancer thread just had her second infusion and had a horrible reaction to it, and now they have to retool her entire treatment plan. So apparently if Mom's first one is OK we still aren't in the clear! Ugh. More stress.

 and pixiedust: I wish there were more I could do. He's another time I wish that we could have a glimpse into the future.

:rotfl2: Diva said the pool was definitely gross, and crowded. Perhaps some more research is in order!

Ok...I think I'm going to go look at the Country Inns and Suites. We'll be there on a Saturday night, too, so I'm sure it will be even more crowded with local people having parties. Thanks for the heads up! I wish that I knew someone in every area that I'm staying in. I've tried TripAdvisor, but I'd trust "real" people more. We did determine that you were "real" people, right?

Okay, I've got my credit card ready, my voucher number for my credit ready and my left click finger is limbered up and ready.

We're going to get some airfare tomorrow!! Disney here we come!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Wow, this just in... US Air and AA are cutting flights from Harrisburg. Now I am even more happy that we fly Southwest where bags fly free!!!

We'll off to bed. Nitey, nite DDA.

Good luck!!!

I hope that USAir isn't cutting anything here. Since I wanted to fly from home to minimize the impact on dh, I had two choices: USAir and United. The tickets on United were almost $500 each! Needless to say, I'm flying USAir. I won't have to pay for the first checked bag, because my tickets are already purchased, but I keep worrying that they will cut/change my flights. :worried:

I bet Jacob is desperate.... I, too, will add a little wish that direction for him! I think that traveling at one of my favorite times of year, during his/her birthday sounds perfect! :goodvibes

I will send that wish out, too.

Who is seeing this tomorrow? I think Kyle and I are going to go. My sister gets back from a week out of town and all she has done when she talks to my mom is beg to visit on the way home. She is so desperately in love with this girls, it's adorable! We looked for "Baby Pictures" showing it (a program for parents to take infants/small children with brighter lights, less noise, changing stations and food stands right in the theater, etc)... but alas, it seems adults want to see non-Disney/Pixar movies when they get a chance to go out. Not these adults! We're hoping my mom and sister will watch the girls a few hours so we can go. Kyle thinks it's important to establish a day for us to go on a date at least every few weeks, and I agree. I just can't figure out where this guy came from who replaced my husband when the babies were born! :confused3 :rotfl:
I want to see this, but my silly kids don't seem particularly interested.

This does seem like it might be a smart "business move". I'm sure they will enjoy meeting you, and will just appreciate your honesty that this isn't the right job for you! I'm glad you are feeling a bit better this morning. It's not "foolish", it's only natural to get your hopes up!

::yes:: I totally agree!

Jennifer, I love looking at the pictures of your girls!

Have a wonderful trip Deb, Chris and your 3 sons!!!!

:goodvibes :dance3: :dance3: :goodvibes

I have a few things to get done before I can go to work at 10:30. I will check in from the hotel tonight.

Deb and Chris - I hope you and your sons and your whole family have the most magical L O N G trip! Safe travels and enjoy!!

Thank You :cool1: :cool1:

Off to do our thing (I told you it was always! :rotfl:). Then we're going to get a few things done before we have some visitors that we're really excited about! :yay:

Enjoy your date and maybe even date :goodvibes

Tammi & Elin enjoy your trips!

Jennifer enjoy your movie night with Kyle!

Deb your trip is almost here :cool1:

Stephanie good luck with the flights :wizard:

 :cool1:  :cool1:

Colby got up this morning and came running down the hall "Daddy, is today the day we go to Disney World?" I only heard it, but it really made me smile :goodvibes

I got up and running early today since the bug guy had a 9 AM appointment. He called at 5 of 9 to say that he will be 1 1/2 hours late :furious: Doesn't he know that I have things to do today?

Our room just needs vacuuming and a load of laundry is going. Things are really coming together. I even got all of my toiletries and hair crap together :cool1:

Beth not sure if you an AP holder, but if not codes for the public are out. Check out mousesavers.com, maybe you can save some money on your room in Aug.!

Thanks, Janet! I saw that. I think moderates are still higher than I'd want to switch, and it would save us only about $5/night over the AAA rate. Since I don't want to bother Chanon for a possibility of $5/night, I'll just leave it. AK has me tempted, but I need to keep this BUDGET.

Janet and Beth - I already called on both of your reservations. What you have is cheaper so I don't plan on changing them. :teeth:
