Mom is still in the hospital. Don't know if or when she will get out. Still running tests. I don't know if she can tolerate much more.:sad2:
She's been calling out to Dad, who has been gone for 24 years now. I have this sinking feeling that the end is near. :guilty:
Keep the prayers and the pixie dust going.

Thanks!

Lots of them always! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:    :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Just got a call from my doctor's office. The results of the AFP screening came back with an abnormality in the area of Down's. I'm still not too upset, but the nurse did mention that my chances of having a baby with Down's are now 1 in 100. She's making me an appointment with the high risk ultrasound doctor. Keep your fingers crossed that she can work me in today or tomorrow. Otherwise I have to wait until after our camping trip. I don't know if my nerves could take that. Truthfully, this came as a bit of a shock, since I've never had one of these come back positive. On the good side, I'll get to find out the sex of the baby sooner!

I hope that you have (or have already had) and appt soon! I know you'll camp much better with some clarity. :grouphug:

How hard do you think taking a design and making it into a puzzle would be? I am thinking about taking a design that has princess on it that says surprise we are going to Disney. printing it out and somehow making a puzzle out of it and then giving it to Olivia to do on the way to the airport.

I think it would be pretty easy. You could do it on cardstock and just print and cut. Or print on regular paper and glue to to some cardboard (like a cereal box), then cut it. Our school store also cells puzzle that are chipboard pre cut. You can draw or write on them, then break them apart. One would fit in an envelope easily if you want me to pick one up for you.

Kristine - good luck deciding on your last ADR.

We have been very busy lately. The Lion King was fabulous, although I wish our seats were a bit closer. It was a nice evening out, just the 2 of us.

Today Bob and I took Nicholas to his baseball game, only to find out that it had been canceled. No one knows why. But his team stayed and practiced. His dad was even there. Afterwards we all stayed and practiced some more. It was interesting to have his dad and Bob out on the field helping him.

Tomorrow evening we are going to Richmond to see a Minor League double-header. It starts at 5, and even if the kids get bored, it's only $5 per person admission, so we can't go wrong there.

I have set my mind that tomorrow morning I NEED to start working on my closet. Seems it keeps getting put off.

I'm so glad you're enjoying your time off! I hope you guys have fun at the baseball games! My love for the Atlanta Braves actually started at a game in Richmond! :)

Thanks for all your continued good thoughts and prayers! We really appreciate them all!

Mom seems to be doing a little better.

She is unable to swallow and continues to pull out her NG tube. The doctor is going to put in a feeding tube in her stomach on Wed. Hopefully Mom will tolerate that a little better.

Tests have shown lots of little strokes or TIA's. She also has congestive heart failure. Hopefully medication will help.

Mom is quite the fighter and is not ready to give up the ghost just yet!

Off to get some sleep and then drive up to see her today.
The weather forecasters are calling for severe storms this afternoon, so hopefully I can get on the road before the storms hit.

Have a great day all!

Tom, I'm glad to read a somewhat positive update. I hope your mom has another relatively good day today. Drive safely!

DS wasn't feeling well last night - congestion and just sort of blah. I need to go wake him up and see how he's feeling today. Princess has swimming lessons, but other than that we can hang out and take it easy.

I hope DS is feeling fine today!

morning all---im off for 2 doctor appointments and lots of errands--4 days to go :)

I'm so excited for you! Tell me again, how long are you guys staying? I'm so jealous! :goodvibes

Safe travels for you today, Tom. More :wizard: for Mom too.

Elizabeth - I hope DS is feeling better. Nicholas has had quite the cough lately. A deep, chesty cough.

Good morning,
We are off to the beach today, hopefully there won't be any thunderstorms.

Tammi,
Hope Nicholas cough clears up.

Elizabeth,
Hope DS is feeling better.

Jen,
Good luck at the Dr's.

Happy Birthday Matty!

Too cute, Tom. I hope Matty had a great birthday!

Elizabeth and Tammi -- I hope your DS's feel better!

Kristine -- I'm hoping you are feeling better.

Tom -- sending more PD for your Mom and for safe travels for you. How far away is she?

I'm working from home while waiting for the a/c company.

Have a great day everyone! :)

DS seems to feel better today. We're going to go see about buying him another pair of Crocs after swimming lessons. He has a pair of Caymans that I think are too small. His Disney Crocs are OK, but they are black so I think they will be hot. He has Croclings that we recently discovered are still too big.

I bought him a pair of sneakers that have been in the box ever since, so I told him we are returning those before the return deadline passes!

DH called this morning to tell me he found Blister Sticks at Kroger! They are on clearance for $4 each! I paid $6 for the ones I bought yesterday. And when he called he wasn't AT Kroger anymore. He isn't assigned to that route after today, either, so I guess we won't be getting any $4 sticks! :headache:

ohh good idea
let me check the teacher supply store here if I don't find one then I will let you know. Thanks

Okay so the trip it self is special for the girls add in the 2 princess meals and several character meals and the little tink gifts I have for the girls and it will be a special trip for them. I want to do a few things for Jeff to make it special, especially since our Anniversary is Sept. 28th we are eating at Boatrights which is neat since we stayed at POFQ on our honeymoon. I made sure to tell them when I booked that one it was our Anniversary. What other things do you think I should look into to make it special for him.

I thought about Tink gifts for him but have not come up with any ideas.

okay I'm bumping this as it seems it was missed last night or no body had any ideas last night.:)

not sure what kind of things you are thinking of...

Coral Reef with a diver holding a sign up?

Richard Petty driving experience for him?

fireworks cruise?

I just got through going through everything in my closet. Guess what I found! Remember when the kids and I went to the DVC merry mixer in December and we got pewter DVC ornaments? When I got home I couldn't find them. I just found them, stuffed in the toe of one of my crocs that I obviously haven't worn since December! YAY! This is not a good sign though. I wonder how much cash might be in the pockets of the 30-40 pants/jeans/shorts I am giving away. I have 10 garbage bags full of clothes so far. That doesn't count shoes yet.
