Deb I have no idea about the Canadian money :confused3

I was going to put weed spray on the back lawn, but it's rather breezey. I don't particularly want those chemicals blowing all over me so I guess it'll have to wait.

Do you think that was the special that they were talking about?
I don't know how that they could advertise it as a special. I don't think it was anything different than regular dings.

Do you think that was the special that they were talking about?

I doubt it. I thought they were going to release a few DINGS throughout the day and only give a short time to book them :confused3 Who knows?

That's what this was. The booking window has already closed on that Ding. It did say that more would be released today.

Elin - I called the visitor's center ref. the tours. The carriage tour may or may not be running on Friday, as he is having work done on the carriage. She said to call that morning to find out. The prices are the same for the trolley and the carriage 17/6. Trolley - 75 minute narrated tour. Carriage - 45 minute narrated tour. The first of both tours leaves at 10:30. You purchase tickets the morning of. I'm now thinking I would prefer the Trolley, more bang for your buck and it is a guarantee that it will be operating. Also, I like the 10:30 time.

Wow, you are doing great. Any signs of jaundice? That was what got us having the boys early. We went home and then had to go back into the hospital with both Hunter and Colby. Hopefully you will be there long enough for them to detect it before you leave. Even better would be to not have it at all :goodvibes

Nope, no jaundice! They started pooping like professionals pretty quickly (to my sister's surprise.... as experienced as she is with kids, she did not realize how much a newborn could "produce" :rotfl: ) and since they are currently getting mostly formula, they should be in the clear. :goodvibes

We had a lot of levies break, so it may be a few days.

Thankfully my ear is not hurting as much, but my throat is still sore. I'm sure once the antibiotics get in my system I will be better in no time!

It looks very sad in your part of the US right now, Janet. I hope the worst is over for you all. Keep those drugs going! You will probably start to feel better by tonight.

Tammi - the trolley sounds fine to me. Now I just have to come up with a great idea for lunch!

Weedwacking is done. Came in to check for Dings. Nada.

Elizabeth - do you think that hour could be a slight exaggeration? And do you really think it is an hour EVERY time for EVERY bus, or just occasionally? Maybe the rental car companies have sabbotaged the DIS, spreading vicious rumors about astronomically long bus waits, in order to drum up rental business. :teeth:

Yes, I do think an hour EVERY time is inaccurate. Which is why I think for 7 nights we can utilize a combo of buses and taxis and not come out too bad. The thing is, we'll have to ALLOW an hour. If a bus hasn't arrived in 30 minutes we'll have to get a cab. Sometimes we'll do better than an hour, sometimes we won't. :confused3

Elizabeth.....

with your amazing code finding abilities....you should look into getting a deal for a car rental. I had NEVER rented a car before...and I was against it. Marti was the one who keep telling me to try it......now I am not sure I would ever do it again without one. It was soooooooooo convenient!!

The rental car thing has me completely befuddled. I am a smart girl - really, I am - but I can NOT seem to sort out the rental car thing. Other people using the SAME EXACT CODES are getting the same car for half of what my quote is. I can't understand what they are doing different. When I went through the Sam's website it was the same price as NO discount. :headache: Apparently there is another code number that I need to get from Sam's - going through the website doesn't do it. The only thing I can figure is that there is something about my particular dates OR getting the car from the Dolphin that is making my price higher.

That's my birthday, you know. ;)

Oh poor thing. I hope she is well enough to make it to rehearsal. Give her a bucket to take with her just in case. ;) Feel better fast, Katie! :wizard: :wizard:

Feel better, Katie!! :wizard:

Well that's dumb. Give me $37 rates or release for December today! Hrumph. ;)

:rotfl: I guess even if there are good rates today I won't be booking anything for Diva Girl because Mom wants to think more about enrolling her for Driver's Ed. :confused3

Jennifer - I just read your updated blog. You sound truly happy and content now that your pregnancy ride is over. I am so thrilled for you and Kyle that you were able to realize your dream of having a family. What miracles!

That is great. My boys were poopers, but they still looked like pumpkins :confused3

I am so happy that your horrible pregnancy has turned into such a phenominal outcome. I am so happy for you

Thanks Tammi, yes that is what I meant.

I think she meant will you be riding any of the water rides in the parks, like SM or KRR, and was suggesting a change in case you get really wet.

This was posted on our water dept. website this morning:

Galesburg, IL (June 18, 2008; 8:30 am) The Illinois Emergency Management Agency has provided a supply of bottled water to Galesburg water system users. Bottled water has been shared with all communities using Galesburg water. Hospitals, long term facilities, Knox County Jail, nursing homes, and group homes will have water delivered directly to their facilities.

Distribution of water to Galesburg residents will begin this morning, from 10 am – 1 pm and be available again later from 4 – 6 pm at the former Maytag facility. Galesburg residents may enter off of McClure Street. After providing an I.D., staff will load one gallon of water per person in the household into the vehicle. Residents do not have to get out of their vehicle.

It looks very sad in your part of the US right now, Janet. I hope the worst is over for you all. Keep those drugs going! You will probably start to feel better by tonight.
