As Bernadette said. Things got really weird for a while on the Disboutique thread, and I just had enough. (I should know better than to stray away from all of my dear friends here!) But I just had to step away for a couple of weeks!

I'm glad you're back. I found the boutique thread to be a bit stressful myself. I decided that I was sewing before them and I'll be sewing after them so I don't need them. I'd love to see anything that you've created in your hiatus


I was hoping to hear that we had 2 new bundles of joy by now. She was having a C-section wasn't she? I guess I'll keep checking

Elizabeth maybe Wednesday AP rates will be released I am honestly starting to think it will not be till next week or later. Usually some info leaks before they are out & I have heard nothing

First of all, I think those dang postcards are a VERY bad sign. It means they are targeting a more narrow market than AP holders to gauge response BEFORE they release AP rates. Availability is very limited - every time I check for rack rate rooms Aug. 10-14 the availability gets worse.
Now, the other "prong" of this is that tomorrow is my 45 day mark. Isn't there a new policy about making changes to a discounted room within 45 days? I know that packages can't be changed without penalty inside that 45 days, but it seems like there is something about changing a room only if you are adding a discount? People were talking about it when the last round of rates came out. So if they can hit people with a $50 penalty for changing to a discounted rate then they might as well hold the rates until more people are within that 45 days. I don't need an AP discount until 8/10, so that gives me ten more days before I am 45 days from that, but if they hold the rates another couple of weeks then everybody going the front half of August will be within that 45 day range.

With SSR studios going for $165 a night to the postcard people I guess I should worry about those filling up, effectively taking away my "resort of last resort". I wanted to wait awhile longer and see if our waitlist for the other night at AKV comes through, but if SSR fills up I won't be very happy. We have enough points for one more night, so it would be silly to pay for 4 nights instead of just 3.

Well the weather bug on my computer was flashing, looks like we are in for more thunderstorms early this evening.

I haven't checked our weather. We had some real storms last night/early this morning. I don't think I've ever hear thunder rumble on so long. Somehow all the kids slept right through.

Riley tried out for the All Star baseball team a couple of weeks ago & we found out last night he made the cut

This is a traveling team, so I am a little nervous about the weekends & overnight stays. I work weekends, so I am not sure how this is going to work out. Guess I will find out all the details at the parents meeting!

That is great news. He should be very proud of himself


I'm working on index cards with our daily info and park hours. I've also managed to vacuum through the house and get a couple of loads of laundry done. We'll head out soon to pick up the kids at school. I'm srue they will be anxious to get out of there. I'll also stop at the post office and set up having our mail held while we're gone.

Well, so far today I've run some errands, went to the library and got the kids their first supply of summer reading books, and went grocery shopping. I also hauled 24 books to the library for donations. That was probably about half of what I'm getting rid of. Now I think I'll have a little me time.

I was just comparing the hours that Chanon's TA site has listed for park hours vs what the Disney site has and there are a few discrepencies. I wonder which is more accurate The TA site has MK open until midnight and the Disney site has it closing at 11 PM.

We are back from our fabulous morning at Chuck E. Cheese!

I would have liked to stay longer because 6 of the other nannies were there and the kids were enjoying it, but we had to come home to let the housekeeper in.

Princess kept her diaper dry ALL morning! She used the potty 3 times. Now she is napping. Dadboss said she didn't go on the potty for them at all this weekend. They are going to have to work on that!

Princess is up from her whomping 45 minute nap. I don't know what possessed the housekeeper to run the vacuum - she SAW ME put Princess in her bed! She could have easily cleaned the kitchen and the playroom - she hasn't touched them yet and those rooms are at the opposite end of the house from Princess's room! I am NOT impressed.

I called Member Services and added the night of 8/10 at SSR. What I wasn't expecting was having to add another night of DxDDP. He said if we didn't add the DxDDP we couldn't link the ressies and we'd have to switch rooms. OK, well, now we need to add 2 more ADRs.
What turned out really cool is that we are able to keep our waitlisted night at AKV. I just had to authorize them to borrow 5 pts. from next year to cover it if it comes through! If it does come through then we'll only be at WL for 2 nights. Talk about a waste of time. But I don't think the chances of getting that night at AKV are very good, so I probably don't have to worry about it.

Now I need to call and modify my WL ressie to take off the night of 8/10. And figure out where else we want to eat!
