I feel like i havent been posting much..

My "kiddies " graduated yesterday and it was actually really emotional yesterday and today--I was saying goodbye to most ofm y class that i have had since September--lots of tears between the parents and me and the other teacher.

I babysat tonight and now im wide awake--ugh! I am officially done work for the most part---My class is done and now i am a "floater" for 2 weeks--i am pretty much just going where they need me. I am done on June 30 and im pretty excited--its going to be weird as i have been there for 6 years!

Anyway you can move your dates? I look forward to seeing these again in Dec., they are awesome! Hope you can work something out :wizard:

The dates are non negotiable, especially with my job, any dates after that week and until after mid January inventory are blacked out.

My niece and nephew ran into their neighbors for the 2nd time on this trip. They didn't know they were even coming as it was a surprise for the kids. The boy is my nephews age and is in kidney failure. He has had several transplants and they can't figure out why it keeps rejecting kidneys. He won't be allowed anymore unless they find out what is attacking them which means he has dialysis and probably won't live but a couple more years. They had a great time together. My nephew is one of the few kids that treats him normal. They had a great time together.

Lot's of PD :wizard: that they find the reason, glad they had a great time together.

Debbie - When he gets chips at work he usually hides them in his car so I never see them. :rotfl: He had some dill pickle ones once, which I didn't taste. Lately he has mostly been getting those "Pinch of Salt" ones which are very tasty! He said they don't have the ketchup or BBQ ribs flavors. He thinks it might be regional. He has seen jalapeno cheddar and cheddar bacon. I like the cheddar and sour cream chips, and the lime Tostitos, but otherwise I just like them plain!

Sour cream and onion are my favorite, but they are on the "no-no" list now. I'm just not sure how Ketchup chips would be :confused3

Karen-thanks for the check!

Vicki-thanks for the check!

Janet-thanks for sending Elizabeth the check!

Deb-your house looks awesome! Colby looks so big! Sounds like you're ready for your trip! I've got 9 weeks from yesterday. I've a few outfits I want to make so I better get sewing!

Chanon-good luck with the mold!

Anne Marie-congrats to Katie! Hugs for Daniel-glad he likes his teachers. OH...and I'm staying put in one place for 14 nights. DH doesn't travel well so moving would be upsetting and I really don't want to have to pack up and be without a room for a day.

Elizabeth-:woohoo: for Princess!

Vicki-sounds like your having a great trip!

Where did you read that? I've got a friend going in November and I know they hope to see it.

I saw it on the Disney web site when I was checking park hours, so I guess it is official.

Deb - the house looks great, I have three rooms that are in desperate need of new flooring. And it's time for a makeover in the master bedroom.

 mom that's mean. Nope can't say they did.

It's not mean, it's true. ;) Besides, he looked like a tree frog in a GOOD way.

How funny! I don't think we've ever seen anyone we know (other than DISers) at the parks. I hope the Dr.s are able to help the little guy! :wizard:

beautiful Deb!!

Deb, the house looks great! :thumbsup2

Debbie - Well, I guess it depends how you feel about ketchup to begin with! :rotfl2: I don't like ketchup, so the chips sound gross to me.
I thought I read somewhere (in a thread griping about the WDW website) that they posted wrong hours for Osborne Lights, so just sit tight and see if they change. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed, so when do you think they'll have the AP rates out for August? We got our Bright green exchange cards, but I don't have the numbers to log into the AP site.

Good morning :)

Good Morning Janet!

Hi Debbie!

I am hoping AP rates come out next week, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Good Morning Janet!

Deb very nice.

And don't ya just love how much bigger the room looks with the laminate flooring as compared to carpet?

Debbie - I'm not sure. My HOPE is that they release them Monday. If not Monday then Wednesday. Like I told Janet, usually the AP site will stop working right before new rates come out and the site has been just peachy. But there aren't many rooms available, so that could complicate things. Somebody said a CM told them there won't be new AP rates until mid-July, but who knows where that came from. :confused3
I see the DIS now has Lights listed as starting Nov. 28, too. :( Bummer.

I've got to go and get some gas for the mower and see if I can get the yard done before the rain sets in today.

I think a pot roast sounds good for dinner, nice and easy and tastes great too!

When I changed our August ressies to room only I asked about AP rates, she came back and gave me the figure, which was the same as the the regular price. My paperwork says Passholder Room Only, and has the code FIZ on it?

I guess no Osborne lights means we will definitely be attending one of the Christmas parties again, gotta get some Christmas feeling in before going back to retail and having it ruined for me. :( I'll just find a spot and stare at the castle like I did last year.

Good Saturday morning, DDA!

My 180-day booking window for my December trip snuck up on me! I was up until very late last night figuring out my schedule and where/when we'll dine, and just got off the phone with probably the most efficient/pleasant CM I've had at Disney Dining in a long time. I was able to get everything I wanted, although I was surprised to learn that the "holiday pricing" for some of the restaurants starts on 12/16. That seems really early to me - I thought for sure that wouldn't start until the holiday pricing for rooms, which is 12/19 (when we're getting the heck out of Dodge!).

The only thing I didn't get at my exact time I wanted was Garden Grill on our 1st night - I guess maybe people are already booking in anticipation of the CP package. (BTW, those narrators came out yesterday if you haven't seen them - I find the list kind of uninspiring this year. We're going to gamble that the infamous "TBD" might be someone decent!) I was told by the CM that the CP will be available to book sometime the week of 6/23.

Deb - the house looks excellent! I particularly like how the kitchen turned out - love the Disney touches. Glad the exterminator didn't prove too bad. WTG, Nick!

Anne Marie - I'm glad to hear Daniel had such a different experience with school this year. I'm sure he'll remember soon how to enjoy his summer break. :goodvibes

Jen - yay for you being done with your class!

Elizabeth - yay for Princess! Your comments about DS at birth had me giggling. :rotfl:

Debbie - FYI - you can log onto the AP site using the green exchange ticket. When you pull up the AP site, choose one of the options as pertaining to an exchange ticket, and log in using the numbers on the back of the card/the confirmation statement they sent you. Good luck on the rates! :wizard: Sorry to hear about the Osborne Lights. :( I was wondering if they pushed them back this year to conserve electricity/save costs....

Even though I'm wide awake, I'm going to try to go back to bed for a bit. Chat later!

Lindsay glad you were able to get your ADR's for Dec. :cool1:

Have a great day all!

Lindsay - Yay for ADRs!
Holiday pricing started on Dec. 16 last year, too. How strange that it would start this year on a Tuesday! Maybe the screen was wrong? I could see the price changing on Dec. 14, but not the 16th. Very odd.

The AP site continues to function just fine, so I doubt we'll see AP rates on Monday. :(

Apparently there are new post cards out for Aug. 3 - Sept. 20-something. Values for $59, DVC studios for $165 at SSR & OKW. We are paying $214 for the one cash night at SSR on 8/9. IF I had a postcard maybe I could call and change it, but we don't have a post card! :headache: And then we have 7 more nights booked at rack rate because there are NO discounts for those. Grrr! Makes me want to stay home.

I called Member Services to see if we could get a studio on points for the nights we currently have WL at rack rate. Nope, unless we want MORE nights at SSR. Which I don't, because I don't want to rent a car! :headache: So that's the end of that little plan.

Hi all....I've been reading along but have been up to my elbows in kids, cake and icing for the past few days.

I never did get my nap in on Thursday (I only had 7 1/2 kids, the cousin didn't come and Allyson didn't get here until 2:30) and ended up staying up until midnight. My girlfriend dropped off 5 huge bags full of clothes for Lucy that I had to go through. I refused to let them sit here any longer than this weekend. I ended up with a laundry basket full of clothes. I think my girlfriend and Elizabeth would get along fabulously- there is no way I have room for all those clothes nor do I think that Lucy could possibly wear them all!

Yesterday I washed all the clothes and baked the cakes that I needed for today. I also managed to almost completely decorate the cake yesterday, even with 5 kids here. Thank goodness for naps!! We left for my girlfriend's house. We drove an hour to her house for her DD's birthday, stayed an hour and half and then drove an hour home. We got home around 9:30ish and the put the girls to bed. I then made picture frames for favors for Mo's soccer team. They didn't take long and then I headed to bed.

I got up this morning and put some more laundry in and finished the cake. I was afraid that if I put it together last night it would collapse before the party today.

Here is the finished cake

The soccer party is at 11 this morning. After that I have to race home and change and head to a retirement party for my high school band director. Thankfully it's just me going so I get to spend some alone time with old friends and such. My mom, sister, and sister's friend and her mom are also coming along so it should be a fun afternoon.

And did I mention that my perfectly happy baby has turned into a screaming monster the minute I leave her eyesight! The other 2 never ever went through this stage so it is new territory for me. And Mo I swear runs on empty all the time. She is beyond exhausted but has only been sleeping from 10pm til 6am, with no nap. It has made for some wonderful meltdowns!

I am sending out a ton of 's, :wizard: and :yay: for everyone. I will check back in tonight.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Robyn, I would think you're on the verge of running on empty, too!

I hope you find a little downtime this weekend. Your cake looks awesome!!!

Deb, great pictures of the kids and your house looks fabulous!

Lindsay, yay for ADRs!

Jen, I'm sure yesterday was an emotional day.

Debbie, I hope the hours change so you get your Christmas fix! :wizard:

Sounds like all the DDA kiddos finished out their school years on a great note! :yay:

Hope everyone has a great Saturday! :wave2:

We're going to Dave and Busters for lunch to celebrate my BIL's graduation. After dropping out of college 12 years ago, he went back and got his teaching degree. Now he needs some :wizard: for finding a job!

Deb very nice.

I love how big the rooms llok, but I don't love how quickly the dust accumulates. I could constantly vacuum.

The cake looks fabulous!! What recipe for fondant do you use? I have the marshmellow and confectionary sugar one and it is sooooo messy to make. I love the look and taste, but not the work

I actually have a cake cooling now. I need to decorate it for tomorrow. It will be father's day/Logan's Birthday/get psyched for WDW cake :lmao:

OMG! How cute is that cake?! Great job!!
I'm sorry Lucy has separation anxiety. :( My first little charge was like that.
I hope you enjoy your afternoon, and I hope you get some rest in this weekend!

Amy - Good luck to BIL! :wizard:
