I was also suprised to see what is behind turtle talk. Interesting!!!

Katie had her graduation trip today..a cruise around NYC. I am nervous but I know she will have a great time..she has already called me twice from the bus.

Hope you all have a great day!

I hope Molly is still feeling okay. PD for testing to see why she's always congested.

I hope Hunter has a great time and that Nick doesn't have more stomach issues. Good luck on the painting!

Elizabeth -- it sounds like you didn't have to stay as long at the band concert as you feared. I hope the tooth is okay and your mouth isn't sore today. You'll be happy to know that my family will definitely be taking more than one bag on our trip in a couple of weeks, and we might be taking almost as much as Kristine. DC will be so muggy that we'll have to take a couple of outfits a day, though I don't have a problem with doing wash on vacation. Want to come pack for me since you're still off next week? :rotfl:

Today is the last day of school. Jake's awards ceremony is this morning, and Randy is going to it. Andrew's is this afternoon, and I'll go. We have a few errands to run, then both boys have 7:30 baseball games tonight. I'll work 1/2 day tomorrow, take the kids to swimming lessons, then we'll finish packing and head to Waco for Andrew's baseball tournament this weekend. He'll play three games on Saturday -- 9, 2:15 and 7:30, though the last game is always running behind. I'm so not looking forward to this, but I know he'll have a great time so I need to stop whining.

Have a good day everyone! :)

thanks for the dittoable post!! I hope Andrew has fun playing this weekend!! I hope you have fun in DC!!!

I think you could. The thing that is throwing me is that I am used to seeing your hair curly. If your perm has grown out then you could do that haircut with no problem! :)

Robyn - Have fun today! Sounds like lots of CAKE in your future. Mmmm. Cake! I hope you guys can get a diagnosis for Molly soon!

Lots and lots of cake! Thanks.

Thanks, Marci. Again your weekend sounds busy but fun. Enjoy

Amy, are you posting from Robyn's?

:teeth: Thanks for checking in! Have a great time at field day and camping! I hope the sleep study provides some answers for Molly's congestion. When is it scheduled?

Field day, yes. Camping, not so much! Actually I think it will be a lot of fun.

They haven't scheduled it yet but it will be sometime in the next 6 weeks before her next appointment.

Jennifer, I am so sorry you are dealing with PUPPP.'s My girlfriend had it with her 1st pregnancy and I saw how absolutely miserable it is. :wizard: :wizard:

No, spaghetti sauce was my specialty yesterday, remember? I used 12 cans of tomato paste! :rotfl:

Actually, cake and cupcakes are probably on the agenda this weekend though, since today is my MIL's birthday and we have a neighborhood picnic on Sunday evening. :teeth:

Good morning DDA! :wave2: Hope it's a good day for you all!

You amaze me with your energy! Enjoy your weekend plans.

Wow you have been busy.

I'm glad to hear Molly is doing better. Did Emma outgrow her apnea? What did they do for it? How is the congestion related to it? I'm asking all of these questions because Bob is concerned that Bethany may have allergies. She is always getting some sort of congestion and/or ear infections. She has tubes as well.

Emma had her tonsils and adenoids removed and that seemed to cure it. Generally in kids, once those are removed it cures it. When she had the study done her oxygen levels went down to 87%.

The congestion baffles me as she is always congested and I mean her whole life. When she was little we thought it was tied to her reflux. The congestion seems to get worse this time of year so we assumed it's allergies. It just always seems that she can't breathe. The ENT gave us a nose spray to see if that helps. He said if she is still congested at the next appointment he will have her allergy tested.

Marci, you are the busiest mom I know! I don't know how you get your boys to everything they need to be to! I am amazed! Take care!

I get to go to the ob today! Officially, I start the second trimester today! Hooray!

After that, it's grocery shopping for the family while I'm gone. Got to give Alan more choices than cold cereal and bologna (hopefully not together!). Then, back to more packing.

Today is the kid's last full day of school. Tomorrow they go from 8:45 to 10:15. Ick!!! Luckily, Alan will be home, so I can finish running the errands I need to do before we leave.

Talk to you all later. I'm sending a big wave of pixie dust to cover everyone!

Marci - Thanks for the offer, but I don't think I am available for packing. Maybe next time! :rotfl2:

DS's awards assembly was interesting. Just like in elementary, there are kids who get 8 or 10 things, and kids who get one. DS got 2, and he was REALLY disappointed. The thing that boggles me is that tons of kids were recognized for "outstanding" performance in certain subjects. DS didn't get any awards for performance in a subject, yet he got his induction certificate for NJHS. You can't get into the honor society unless you have outstanding academic performance! It is based on GPA! So I can understand why he was disappointed. Kids who weren't getting academic awards were getting citizenship awards. I don't want him to be a sore loser, but I can see why he expected more than 2 awards. His language arts grade has never been below a 95%, and right now it is a 104%. I guess you have to have a 100% every marking period all year to be outstanding? :confused3 Who knows. And there are 3 "pods" of 6th graders so maybe some teachers gave out more awards than others. He got an "Award of Merit" which seems to be the default award for kids who aren't getting anything else.
He was also upset that he wasn't announced as having a perfect score on the TAKS reading test. He was recognized for outstanding performance in both reading and math TAKS. Those results will come to us in the mail at some point far in the future so I don't know if he really had a perfect score or not.

I told him I am very proud of him. He had "the look" he gets when he is really disappointed in something, so I fully expect him to be moody and surly when he comes home.

Yes! Really, I was a bit confused about Crush's movement in general. It seems he only had one little thing to control it (without trying to give too much away ;)) and his movements are so unique, and extensive with each show! :confused3

I've seen my kids use controllers like those for video games and they can do pretty extensive movements. It is truly mind boggling how one person can do the whole Crush show though :confused3

I've got 1 1/2 wall painted. I was hoping to have at least 2 completely done today, but I really need a break for now.

I talked to Chanon earlier today. AAA has the best prices on WDW tickets so I order 10 day base tickets for my brother's family. Another thing off my to do list.

The sun is shining so I think I'll shower and hopefully remove a layer of paint off myself :rotfl: Then I can work in the camper a bit. I can't think of a better way to remove the painting anxiety then to work on trip preparations

BTW Deb, they went out today around 10:30am with DHL via two day. Should have them by Monday. :-)

Gosh, E, I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to spend your hard earned vacation driving to the country to pack for me? :rotfl: I'm really sorry about the awards. I've come to realize that every school/teacher has their "pets" even little ole' Shelton. Every child gets one award in something, even if it's handwriting. (remember, in the youngest grades the teachers have to be very creative, as these kids have major learning differences.) Then, they have the possibility of getting Perfect Attendance, Artist of the Month, Citizenship etc. Jake was lucky enough to get all of them, and his individual award in his class was for Creative Writing. I'm thinking that's the PC way to give a kid an award who talks a lot, is outgoing and has a vivid imagination. :confused3 Seriously, he's had a great teacher the last two years. I'm hoping that the one he has for the next two years likes him as much.

Please tell your DS that we are VERY proud of him. He's done well in school, on the TAKS, and honor society is a major accomplishment.

I better finish eating so I can get to Andrew's ceremony on time.

Thanks a million. I'm glad that they finally decided to purchase tickets. I mean we only have 30 days left :lmao: I wonder if they've thought about packing? :teeth:

I guess I should get back to laundry, for some reason it doesn't seem to clean itself  :laundy:

Is it Friday yet? (Can someone post a pulling hair out smilie for me?)
Here ya go!

Hope you day is improving!

Just got in from work. It was relatively quiet except for the lady who bought 10 park tickets for $2,000!!:faint:

You should have given her Chanon's number.

:rotfl: Day is going better. It's almost over. I'm working on where we should eat at while at Universal. There are some great places over in CityWalk to eat at! Nascar Grille, Bob Marley, Pat O'Brians, Latin Quarter...and they also have a new "club" called Rising Star - it's a karaoke bar where you can sing with a live band! That sounds like a blast (not to sing, to watch!) So planning has put me in a better mood. Day is almost over, day is almost over! And then Lost is tonight!
