DDA Chapter 7

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If anything, her frenzy has increased. :lmao:

Yes, well, after reading on the DVC board about people waiting almost an hour for busses from SSR I am getting VERY nervous! :scared: Hopefully they will get that worked out before August, but with gas prices it may very well be that they are running fewer and fewer busses.:scared:

DVC resorts have free laundry by the pools for studios. We did laundry one day while we were hanging out down at the pool.

Or you can get clean towels from the pool area. They aren't as nice as the ones from the room but are clean towels.

Thanks, Vicki! :)

Three weeks from today, we'll be watching Wishes.

YAY!! :cool1:

Elizabeth - I hope your mom, and you, hear something soon. As the song goes, the waiting is the hardest part.

Thanks! She doesn't seem to be bothered by it. :confused3

Tammi I hope all goes well with the appraisal & you are able to buy him out :wizard:

Absolutely!! :wizard: :wizard:

Chanon, my sister has decided to take the non-stop flight that they have moved. We were able to convince her that was the most practical. It was touch & go for a little while though! :lmao:
Let me know if you need her seats redone. (I'd check them just to make sure they are still there - if not, give me a call and I'll take care of it.
It's wonderful that you are still able to be home. At least you were able to get out some today, even though you are paying for it now.

Well, I was thinking since that when we go in December it is going to be over Nicholas' bday and he will get some special treatment during that week, that if I take one in Sept or Oct that it would be Alyssa. And then maybe around Feb. I could take the other.

But I'm thinking that might be out now. My kids are going away for a week this summer with their dad, and Bethany will be in FL with her mom. Bob has requested that we take maybe 3 days and go away together. We would like to keep it within driving distance but I'm thinking with gas prices, if we get good airfare or a ding maybe we could go farther. I'd like it to be somewhere that I've never been. I recall Chanon and Janet having a wonderful time in Vegas, baby. So..........how cheap can we go to Vegas for 3 days? Or does anyone else have any suggestions to something more economical?
EVERYTHING is cheap in Vegas right now. I actually have a code for the Wynn for $159 for Sunday - Thursday (and receive $25 in slot play!)
Thanks for all the info Janet. It would be sometime during the week of July 19. That is when my kids leave, so maybe the 19th -22 or 23rd.
OK so never mind the price above. Your dates are one of the blackouts. I've also stayed at the Imperial (extremely cheap hotel - we stayed there because it was literally $89 for two nights with four meals) but it's definately an older hotel. Though they have been sending me rates of $27 per night for summer weekdays...:confused3
Just remember it's gonna be hot if you do decide to go! Mom said they are having a high of 105 today. And it's only May!

Good morning DDA!!!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was an okay day, just long and tiring. Yesterday we went to Red Robin, though, for my birthday burger (thanks, Amy!!) and it was a lot of fun. Cake and presents was last Sunday along with Mother's Day. I did tell mom that next time we were having cake when there were fewer people here. With all of us there were only 2 slices leftover from my red velvet cake and that wasn't nearly enough leftovers for me. I guess I should count it lucky that Brendan wasn't here or there would have been no leftovers. ;) Of course, it may just mean that I need to make another one soon too. It was sooooo yummy. :cloud9: :cloud9: :goodvibes :goodvibes

Tom - Great crayon holders! You're such a nice dad to do that for everyone. :cloud9:

Elin - Glad everything went well with Buttons. I hope that Kristin enjoys her day today. Congratulations to her again!

Terri - I'm glad that Hal is doing okay, but at the same time I have to :rotfl: . That story even beats my sister's goose attack a few weeks ago. She was sore for a few days too. I hope Hal's able to enjoy your trip fully as well!!

Robyn - I'm sorry to hear that things aren't getting any better for Emma. I hope the summer gives her the time she needs to separate herself from this bad year and enjoy school again come fall. :grouphug:

Janet - Hope your debit card issue got straightened out.

Lindsey - Good to see you!

Jennifer - Hope you're feeling better after more rest. I was always surprised how sore and tired my body got those last few weeks too. Even in Dec trying to Christmas shop about killed me and that was 2 months out. I switched to shopping only places where I could lean on a cart to take the pressure off of my back. Keep taking it easy!! You're doing so well taking care of those precious girls. :goodvibes

Beth - Beautifully yummy looking cake! I hope Miles had a good birthday.

Elizabeth - Sounds like your plans are starting to come under control once again. Can't say as I followed all of them, but they sound good. ;) :teeth: :thumbsup2 Good luck on airfares when it comes time to book to go to your mom's. I hope they have some answer and info soon. I'm with you, it would drive me crazy to wait and wait.

Deb - Do the Merrills have arch support? That's the main thing I need for Terra, but she sooo wants some sandals. I really just need to get her in for some orthodics I think.

Tammi - I'm glad you've gotten some good things worked out. You have all our prayers and :wizard: that a buyout is possible and it works out for the best for you all. :grouphug:

:wave2: to everyone else!

Good Morning Friends :)

Sorry I've been MIA again, I have popped in to read but this week came and went in a blink of an eye.

Brandon graduated Kindergarted yesterday, so I officially have two 2008 graduates.

We leave for the cruise in 6 days, so I had better make good use of this weekend, laundry, housework, t shirts, and packing. We're starting today off with mother/daughter pedicures, gotta have decent toes for all those open toed shoes!

I went ahead and made some ADR's for August, I haven't added the dining plan yet, I'll do some number crunching later to see if it will pay for itself or not. I just couldn't find much at counter service that is on my approved list, other than salad and you can only take so much of that. :rotfl:

I've missed many birthday wishes, congratulations and PD this week, so I'm sending out a big group . . . .:wizard: :wizard: :hippie: :wizard: :wizard:

Elizabeth, I hear ya on the towel issue, I'm ashamed to say that we never reusee our towels. I read on one of the boards to purchase one of the cheap bulk packs of washcloths and use them like disposables, I think I'll do that and probably borrow some from the pool area when we go in November.
BTW, it is a surprise for DH and he doesn't know we are staying there so "Mum's the word about it in August".

I've plotted out our days using TGM for August,

Wed. August 13th - MK - Crystal Palace Dinner
Thur. August 14th - Studios - Cape May Dinner
Fri. August 15th - Epcot - Coral Reef Lunch
Sat. August 16th - Studios - H&V Breakfast

So, how about shirts for Cape May? :lmao: I'm all for it if everyone else is, and I nominate Beth to make the design. (You do great designs Beth)

Time to run, have a great weekend everyone!

Well, I would like to know why I was up at 5:30 this morning? Phil drove my dad's van to work today so I didn't have to take him, yet I work up at 5:05 and couldn't sleep after that. Doesn't my body know I was tired?!?! Hopefully, it got enough sleep and can behave today as I've got to drive 6-7 hours today. Terra, Chase, Connor and I are driving to Bloomington, IL for my aunt and uncle's 40th anniversary party. Due to other commitments, I'm the only one in the family able to go so we're going as the family representatives. It should be fun because I rarely get to see these cousins. Now, as long as driving with 3 kids doesn't get too crazy. Kristi needed a babysitter and the other option weren't that great so I volunteered to take them along. Luckily, they usually do pretty well.

Well, I guess I had better get moving. I just offered to take Terra out to breakfast this morning as she did soooo well this week. I was a little worried about how she'd handle the sudden change of having 3 kids around all of the time, especially a baby, but she was so good. She helped feed BabyGirl a few times, volunteered to help me mop the kitchen yesterday, picked up toys without fussing almost every time I asked, took her dishes to the kitchen every time without being asked. Guess I underestimated how well she'd adjust. If we're going to do that before we need to hit the road, I guess I'd better get showered and dressed.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Tia drive safe.

I was supposed to work today but we were overstaffed so I am Home on Call. Will have to go over to my moms in a little while to get Olivia as she stayed over night their with her cousin. But it was not planned so she has no clean clothes their.

Good morning, DDA!

Congratulations to her and her wonderful parents!!!!

Ok, maybe I'll have to rethink this. ;)

Thanks!

Apparently that is what we will hear! I thought possibly that the Department of Theatre would come up with something a little more avant garde... but, according to Kristin they will follow tradition.

We made it to the campground. We are setup and heading to my in-laws for dinner. We have free internet here so I'll be on! Woohoo. :woohoo:

Have a great time! :goodvibes

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If anything, her frenzy has increased. :lmao:

::yes:: I am definitely staying entertained, Elizabeth! :rotfl: Our frenzy definitely stopped as soon as we bought DVC, but I'm thinking yours might be here to stay! ;)

It's wonderful that you are still able to be home. At least you were able to get out some today, even though you are paying for it now.

Vegas would be fun, but Chanon is right -- it will be HOT in July! I think the Cape would be a great getaway!

Things are okay, he is just a thorn in my side. We now have legal paperwork documenting his visitation, and I've been awarded exclusive possession of the house. Which means that even though he is still part owner he cannot come into the house. Oh, and the big one that he was a stickler about....he has to provide transportation for his visitation. He was having me meet him halfway to pick up the kids on Sunday evenings. After discussing with his attorney he decided that it was going to be a losing battle so he finally agreed to it. That was a biggie with me. Everyday the kids are my responsibility, taking them to daycare, sports, doctors, dentists, homework, extra curricular activities, etc. plus hold down a full time job. He could at least drive 20 minutes every other weekend. On the 30th he has an appraisor coming out to look at the house. That is the next and last major hurdle, buying him out. Hopefully I will be able to afford it. At least for the short term. Sorry if that was more of an answer than you wanted. I appreciate you asking.

 I hope all goes well with the house, I know that must be nerve-wracking!

I'm glad you had such a nice day for your birthday! I'm feeling ok today. I actually have some swelling, which I haven't had since I stopped working... and some in my hands, which I haven't had at all! I'm trying to find our cuff, etc to see if my BP is still low... I've been so thrilled with it staying low, that now I'm paranoid about any increase! :rotfl:

Thanks, Stephanie... :goodvibes I will take photos and bore you all to death with them, I promise. :teeth:

Yes, please do! :goodvibes Congratulations again!

Good morning! I slept til 9:30am. Haven't one that in years, I think I needed it as I have been dog tired since we got back from Disney. (Too many after school things going on & running around) Even the kids have been getting to bed very late. Next fall I am going to limit the after school things that I can control. Some things like the school concerts & religion I can't unfortunately.
