DDA Chapter 7

Yes. :sad1:

Oh yeah, your store isn't closing so you wouldn't be having any sales. Duh! :headache:
We have three stores within an hour and a half of our house. I called all three yesterday to see which one's were staying open - and could immediately tell by the tone of their voice when they answered the phone!
Jen - I hope everything is OK! :wizard:

I just found the part on the DVC site where they reveal the extra charges for towels. HOLY COW! :scared: $6 for 4 clean towels, $15 if I want trash and towel service on an unscheduled day and $30 per day if I want actual housekeeping! YIKES!! This is NOT good. I must ponder the towel dilemma.
I was gonna say just toss them in the washing machine...it can't be too hard to throw them in the washer before leaving for the parks and then in the dyer in the afternoon...I'd be doing that just because I wouldn't be paying for the water bill! (And warm towels just out of the dryer are the BEST!)

Terri - glad to hear that Hal is OK!

Morning DDA! :flower3:

Robyn -

Elizabeth - yay for the extra time on the project!

Terry - glad Hal wasn't hurt too badly. Enjoy WV!

Terry - Glad Hal is OK! Your son is funny! :rotfl2:

Tammi - We shall see if the extra time makes a difference in the project. Hopefully he will be able to improve it at least somewhat.

Heidi - I guess clean towels are built into the nightly cost of the room on the hotel side, although staying at Pop on a discount STILL gets you clean towels every day!
Your mom is a smart girl. ;)

Chanon - Well, the studios don't have a washer. I would have to take the towels to the laundry room. And I bet if I left clean towels in there they might just disappear before I got back from the parks. Really, if I just buy one $6 pack that would give us 12 towels (when you add in the 8 they provide) over 6 nights. I can make that work.

Elin glad to hear all is well with Buttons!

Robyn sorry to hear school is ending roughly for Emma

Jen enjoy your evening!

Terry glad to hear Hal was not hurt to badly!

Elizabeth if you have a washer & dryer in your room I agree with the others, just toss the towels in the wash before you head out & put them in the dryer when you return. If you don't then just grab some from the mousekeeping cart, this is what we did when we stayed at the BWV's. We had clean towels everyday :thumbsup2

O' man I almost forgot.

Happy Birthday Tia.

Tia -- I hope you had a terrific birthday! (and thanks for the cute pic Heidi)

Thanks again for all the complements.:goodvibes I appreciate them all!

That was incredibly kind of you to do for all of the kids. I bet your house will be the one all the kids hang out at as Leighanna gets older. :)

The boys had a good game tonight. They lost, but not nearly as bad as previous games. They actually had a couple of decent plays.

I'm so glad they played well. Continued PD for good games and lots of fun.

Thanks, everyone. I think the DDA pixie dust worked again. Surgery took a while but the vet seems to think it went well. There was nothing on the x-ray. The tumor was very vascular so required a drain to be put in. I am very glad we opted to leave her there for the long weekend. It would have been tough to care for her, I think. She will come home Monday with the drain removed and only stitches remaining.

I logged off before your post yesterday about Buttons, and speed read through the posts to see how it went. I'm glad that the vet was happy with the results. Lots of PD to Buttons.

Have a fabulous weekend with your beautiful family!

Jen - I hope everything is OK! :wizard:

:rotfl: :rotfl: It sounds like you worked out your dilemma.

Well, that plate will be back, but it won't say MUUSIC... it will say PNO4TE!

That is so awesome!

Hi all....I've been reading along but just haven't got a lot to say. This whole situation with Emma and her class has really taken a toll on me. I spoke with the sub on Tuesday in an impromptu meeting and after I had a chance to process her comments I am not thrilled with some of the things. With there being only 10 full days and 5 half days left in the school year I feel that anything I do/say at this point is not going to matter. I cannot wait for the year to end.

Other than that things are the same here. Busy with soccer. I will be glad when that is over. I am having a Pampered Chef party here tomorrow night and then have family coming in on Saturday for a visit.

Robyn -- hugs to you and Emma. I hope school passes quickly and more easily. I love Pampered Chef -- good luck with the party. PD for the soccer games as well.

So, today I am getting more and more excited about going down to WV.

Hal gets home from his outing today and I find out that he was hit by a Ram. Not the brand name of car, truck but an honest to goodness Ram.

He was at a fly fishing tournament and he didn't get the email advising people to be careful in one area of the creek. There was a ram and a few ewes and another guy was running from the ram and trying to hit it with a stick. Before Hal knew it, he was cornered by the ram. So, he figures, if he stands at the edge of the creek, the ram won't bother him. Wrong idea. The ram butted him and the force threw him in the creek. He is pretty bruised up and now is feeling fine with a few pain pills and a glass of scotch. He had me check for ticks cause he was pulling off a few after he got out of the water. Plus the impact, tore his jeans from the back to almost the front.

He said he barely got out of the water and our oldest son called him to see if he was okay cause it was all over the school already!!!

Howie ends the call by saying bye DAAAAAAADDD :lmao:

Oh that man of mine

Poor Hal! I'm glad he wasn't hurt any worse. I would have been terrified! I hope you have a terrific trip.

Kristine -- I hope your back is better.

Baseball games were rained out last night, but Andrew was able to go to a soccer game in a neighboring town. They tied 3-3, which was much better than the last time they played this team. The team in Terrell won their division, and we won ours in Kaufman. Andrew has two tournaments this weekend, so I think it will be a long one.

Have a great day everyone! :)

Elizabeth...

when you check in and get to the room...call housekeeping and ask for a few more towels. I always say, "If I ask you nicely, would you mind bringing blah blah blah" and I have always gotten what I requested.
Jen - I hope everything is OK! :wizard:

Elin, lots of :wizard: for a quick recovery for Buttons! Hope you have a great weekend!

Jen, sounds like you could use a little :wizard: too. Have fun at the movie tonight!

Terry, what a story! I hope Hal isn't too sore today, and you have a great trip to WV.

Marci, lots of :cheer2: for a good sports weekend for your boys!

Tom, I bet you made a lot of little kids very happy. :)

Theresa, any birthday pictures to post?

Deb, I'm glad things seem to be picking up a bit at work!

Debbie, I don't think I congratulated you on your latest goal. Way to go! :yay:

Elizabeth, it sounds like DS' social studies grade won't be as bad as you anticipated. :woohoo:

Bernadette, will you please post just a few pictures on the thread? Pretty please! :flower3:

I need to get moving, so I'm going to copy Stephanie and say:

Hurray for 32 weeks!!!!

I'm on my way out the door to take Laura to the oral surgeon.

The cupcakes were ready for Miles' school this morning even though I realized at 10:30 last night that I didn't have any powdered sugar. Thank goodness his school doesn't start until 8:50 am!

I still have lots to do on my lists, but I am getting there.

Have a great day, DDA!!!

Hold your horses. You'll have it today. :headache: Now I have to remember Excel formulas... :rolleyes1

So, today I am getting more and more excited about going down to WV.

Oh that man of mine

My initial reaction was :scared1: , that turned to :rotfl: after reading about his pants. I'm glad he is ok. It must have been frightning when it happened. Have a relaxing Ram free trip. Enjoy the other beasties though.

Elin how is buttons this morning? I hope you enjoy graduation this weekend.

Hello to all. It sounds like a busy weekend is shaping up for most, us included.

6 weeks from today we will be on the road by now:rotfl: It seems the trip is coming much quicker now. :cool1: :cool1: I really must get this room finished as I want it done before we leave. I need to work on it this weekend for sure.

Kristine - Thanks for the hint! If calling and asking politely doesn't work I can always say I am new to DVC and I didn't realize there was a charge for towels. :rolleyes1 And since I have had time to think about it, getting one extra towel pack will be enough to get us through.

Marci - Glad that soccer went OK! :wizard: Good wishes for the games the boys have this weekend!

Beth - I hope Laura's procedure goes well! :wizard:
Happy Birthday, Miles!!:dance3:

Janet - I never thought about swiping towels from the Housekeeping cart, but I suppose if they leave the cart unattended...:rolleyes1 I wonder if they stock the cart with the number of towels they need for the rooms on their "route"? If someone raids the cart and they run out of towels I wonder if they get upset? :confused3 With my luck I would get caught and the housekeeper would give me the evil eye. :rotfl:

Anybody know how long it takes for DVC Quality Assurance to return a call? I am supposed to call and notify them that we have our documents, and I have a list of questions for them. I have been waiting for them to call back for 30 minutes. I need to put Princess in the tub, but I know if I do, THAT is when they will call back. We also have errands to run and I can't really talk to them about the contract in the middle of the grocery store.

Ohhh Hooooooowww ow ow ow eeeeeee :lmao: :lmao: Oh for Pete's sake.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: Glad he wasn't hurt too badly. You can always kiss his boo boos and make it all better.

I think you two need a vacation!:rotfl: :rotfl: :goodvibes :goodvibes

Terry- Stephanie said it so well I'll just throw in a few of my own :rotfl:
Hope he feels better shortly!!
