Aidan update:

Well they moved up Aidan's Mapping Date. He gets his Cochlears Activated TOMORROW morning. On Monday Naomi went in to pick up the equipment and to her and the Audiologist's surprise they received confirmation that it is going to work. She didn't even bring a camera. Usually no response is registered on the first visit so we scheduled it while I was out of town (the only time available), but once again my Son surprises all. Each time they played a tone, he would turn, look at Naomi and Giggle. 21 of the 22 channels are working which is better then normal(so they say), and they can redirect that missing one. We will have one tomorrow and were hoping for the same when they fully begin mapping. He's not a fan of the head piece and likes to pull it off rather quickly but I hope he learns soon that sound works when it's on and not when it's off. We are going to record his mapping and hopefully will upload to the internet once I figure out how. Till then "Hears" to a succesfull mapping...

I did it. I went bathing suit shopping yesterday. I knew that if I didn't go now, I'd never go until the season is over and I would never find anything that fits. I tried on 23 suits/tankinis. Two looked good. I bought both. I still can't get over how expensive suits are now.
Here's one (in blue) and the other in the red/black mix. I'm glad this is over.

Hallelujah! They don't have to testify. It is OVER!!!!! The person pled guilty. The only thing left will be the sentencing in a couple of months.

Sorry to hear this, for Micheal

Tomorrow Terra and I are headed over to the Ronald McDonald House to take Danae to the zoo. They got into town on Sunday for follow-up appts this week. Apparently the one this morning was not so good and it looks like Michael may have surgery next week to do some repair work. It's not as serious of a surgery as before, but not minor either. I guess they'll be around for a few more weeks again. Hopefully, they'll have some more details, etc after the tests and appts tomorrow.

Hello everyone! I made it home this afternoon. Had a wonderful time, weather was perfect, parks were not to crowded(till Thursday night anyway), & I enjoyed meeting & spending time with Bernadette & Emma. I must say Emma is such a sweetie, I will miss her little laugh Bernadette is just as sweet & she even made me a journal to write in!

Had a great location just as requested, 60's lakeside, 1st floor, & I had a corner room. Bernadette & I were right next to each other. The area was very quiet, close to the foodcourt & bus stop.

A solo trip is something I will do again I did over do it my 1st full day, but what is new The top of my head is burnt(did not use sunscreen there)& I have a nice blister on the bottom of my foot(my fault for wearing my flips instead of crocs, lesson learned).

I need to go back & see what I have missed, chat with you all soon!

Hi DDA! I'm sorry to have disappeared lately. We had quite a bit of a scare with Baby A last week, and I needed some time away from the computer as often as possible to pass the time until today's rescan. I'm happy to report that all is well now, and we'll just continue to monitor closely these next (last?!) few weeks. I'm sorry I fell so behind. Please PM me with anything you'd like... and I'll try to be around more this week!

If you're interested, details (both from last weeks crappy scan and today's wonderful one ) are in blog entries. Right now, apparently I have to go eat.

Good Night All!!

The tshirts came out okay...I did goof a little on Abi's...hopefully it's only noticeable to those who know about it.

Going to spend the morning with my nephews (I realized how different my sister and I's parenting styles are and I am now because she always complained my girls were loud). Then off to pick up party supplies and some Chick Fil A...then party . Also gotta figure out when to wrap the kiddos present.

As I was telling somebody earlier...I am learning to be flexible and not plan every little detail. An unintended bonus is it's driving my grandmother crazy

One birthday down....3 parties to go!!

Well, I have inched my way to another weight loss goal. This goal had a story behind it. Years ago when I had my driver's license renewed I "fudged" a bit with the weight, and as the years and renewals went by they never asked and I didn't tell so the weight on my license has been inaacurate for a long time, well as of this morning I now weigh one pound less than it states on my license.

DD moved back home this week, she'll be here until she gets on her feet with finances and employment. I made dinner last night and she looked at it and said, "that's it?" Yes we've made quite a few changes around here,

Well, I was right. About midnight there were some extremely loud cracks of thunder, the kind you here when lightening hits something. Both kids ended up in my room, frightened. Then around 3AM they suspect what was a tornado tore through a subdivision about 5 or 6 miles from here. I haven't heard of any injuries but homes were destroyed and they have 50-60 people in shelter at the middle school, until other arrangements can be made.
