DDA Chapter 7

Last time I did that whole Brazilian thing....I liked it (Bill liked it too/TMI!!) but like I said....I have to be mentally prepared for it

I get waxed every three weeks, but not a Brazilian. There is NOTHING that would prepare me for THAT. :scared1:

Randy has begged, and even said he'd call the lady who waxes me to beg, but no go. The only way I could see myself doing that would be after a bottle of wine MAYBE, and even then, I wouldn't be able to drive there and back because I'd be too drunk. Can't wait to see your new do.

AP RATES ARE OUT THROUGH AUGUST 3!!

All of MY nights are still at RACK RATE  :headache:  but other people are getting AP rates. And the Passholder website is down.

Are your dates completely blocked? Or are you just not able to get anything yet? The site was down all day yesterday too!

If he really wanted it done he would offer to get you drunk and then drive you there and back... just sayin' :rotfl2:

I sure hope he doesn't read this... :rotfl: I don't think he's thought of that option or he would have suggested it.

A regular bikini wax works great for me. :thumbsup2

How do I register for the Mickey Monitor? I got a new AP, and I want to make sure to receive it.

I think I liked the talk of Webkinz better than the waxing :rotfl2:

Never been waxed...never gonna get waxed...not even going to google Brazilian wax:lmao:

The only waxing I get done is my eyebrows, and that's all I'll EVER get done.

Oh, the AP discount applies to AKL CL for Aug. 1 & 2, there just aren't any. I had them try it for more nights, I called back and had them try it for one night and then the other, no dice. And there is no AAA rate for that room, either. I tried, Chanon tried, nothing. It is just rack rate, plain and simple. Yet people keep posting their FABULOUS rates for other dates. People with those damn 40% off postcards have used them for AKL CL. But NOOOOO, no discounts for me. Rack rate! :headache:

I'm still mad, but I tried my dates on the regular Disney site and there is NO availability for standard club level rooms. The only ones that come up are 1 & 2 bedroom suites. I guess they really are sold out. But it would be delightful if the AP site would WORK so I can monitor the situation!

Go for it...how bad can it really be? :lmao: I've actually considered it and if it would last A LOT longer than shaving I'd tough it out. So...how long does waxing last?

OMG - seriously people - 70 pages since I left! :scared1: ;)

Anyone want to recap for me? :flower3:

I miss WDW! :sad1:

Hi, Lindsay! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

The topic of the day seems to be bikini waxing pros and cons. Just jump in here and we'll get you caught up eventually! :rotfl2:

Welcome back Lindsay! Hope you had a great time. We have been home for a week now & I am having major Disney withdrawals...

The other day the kids were on my very last nerve & Dana comes over & says to me "I think one day you are to leave us & run off to Disney World":lmao:

Hi Lindsay! Welcome back! How was your trip? I read Anne Marie's TR and looked at all of her pics. Now I need to live vicariously through yours. ;)

:scared: :rotfl:

I only wax for beach vacations. I'm sure my husband would prefer it more regularly, but I can't stand paying that much $$ for THAT on a frequent basis. Shaving works fine, otherwise. ;)

And NO Brazilians here. I don't think I could stand the mortification, and fortunately for me, Jonathan thinks that would be creepy. He said it would make him feel like a pedophile. :scared:

welcome home Lindsay, I hope your trip was very relaxing.

Relaxing...eh, not so much. It was overall a good time, though! Thanks! :goodvibes

I see the new pics in your siggie. I'll have to catch up, but did you guys like the cruise? I hope it was fun for you!!!!

Oh, goody - an Anne Marie TR! I guess I will definitely have to wade through 70 pages.

I do have some pics, but not a ton. I was bad this time about taking pics, but I will post what I have when I get them off the memory card. Jonathan insisted I shoot the pics in RAW, and on my new smaller digital camera (no way was I going to be responsible for his dSLR again), the pics are huge, since it's a 12 mp camera. Our version of Photoshop won't even support it w/o a new plug-in, so he's supposed to do that tonight.

TMI -- FEEL FREE TO SKIP
3 weeks, since I do bikini, brow and lip. The bikini line can go longer - 4 -5 weeks, but not the brow and lip. My skin is too sensitive to shave (bikini), so waxing it is for me! It actually hurts less if you go regularly, as the number of hairs lessens over time.

I told you it was TMI! :upsidedow

Can't wait to see pics, Lindsay!

Since Elizabeth was teasing with all the AP rate talk I ended up calling to see if it would apply to my brother's summer reservation. I checked POP to see what the price difference is compaired to FW. It is only $300 more for 10 nights. There are some great $78 flights on SW for the leg home and only $120 to fly down on the same flight that Mom and the kids are already booked. I think I've convinced them to fly and stay at the hotel rather than driving down with their camper. I would never tow our camper down for only 10 nights and with the price of diesel I can see them easily saving $600-$800 by flying and staying at POP. We can still do all of our 4th activities since our camper will still be there. It really seems like a win win situation. The only snafu is that my Dad was driving with them to help with the driving and he says that was the ONLY reason he was going. If they fly he will probably stay home. I said he could drive with us, but he knows that we don't NEED the help. He hates hot weather and wouldn't go to the park much anyway so maybe it is for the best all around. I'll talk to my mother and get her take on it. If she really wants him to go then I'll have to convince him that we need another driver.

I'm feeling pretty proud of myself today. I came up with a cost effective teacher appreciation plan and implemented it. Hopefully the boys will remember to give the gifts to the teachers tomorrow. I decided to give each teacher a Disney pin with a little note attached explaining the significance of the Tinker Belle pixie dust pins. I also bought some lindt chocolates for them. Little 3 pack boxes were on sale 12 boxes for $6. I used the pins that I got with the Mom's Panel gift and a few that I had set aside to trade. I had leftover Mickey Mouse Thank you card that the boys signed. Everything is in their backpacks. Colby gave 4 boxes of chocolates to his teachers as they are high school students for the most part and we wanted them all to have a little something.

I also picked up a pair of shorts and a shirt for my Mom for Mother's Day. I usually get her an outdoor plant, but she's not planning on having outside plants this year since she will be gone for a couple of weeks and doesn't want anyone to have to care for them.

I also made 3 pr of sleep shorts for Colby. That's 5 prs made so far. They are really easy to make so I think I'll see what other fabrics I have laying around and make more for them :thumbsup2

The Fiesta was fun. Hunter's class did a little spanish song and were dressed as skeletons complete with black lights to make them look spookier. He had fun.

Sounds like great ideas for the teacher appreciation. I think our elementary school decided to celebrate in June.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: I hope things get resolved at the meeting tomorrow. Can't be much fun alone, not to mention on top of everything else. Tell that family of yours you need a nice, peaceful Mother's Day! ;) :grouphug:

Beth  :wizard: for tomorrow I hope things get better

Thanks! I think it went all right. It seems that one person has been speaking for herself, not the whole board. I also think that she is more tactless than mean-spirited. I'm still going to work three days/week next year.

I have a ton of cleaning to do before my family comes in on Thursday....and a job and a 3 HOUR concert that I had to go to tonight:scared:

It was a wonderful concert musically, espescially Rhapsody in Blue and the piano soloist, but it was LOOOOONG!! I have so much to do and with Jim's second job I am walking home which takes a half hour out of home time and a whole lot of my energy. :upsidedow

Jim isn't in bed yet so I have to wait until he is in bed and asleep before I can head to bed. Because the concert was so long (did I mention it was long:lmao: ) I don't have the energy to clean the bathrooms like I was going to. Depending on how long Jim takes in the shower I still may force myself to clean them.

:wizard: I hope that it all gets done!

It would have to be one heL-uva mood to get me to have THAT done!

:rotfl: I was thinking the same thing!

This AP rate thing is really chapping my fanny. Everybody else is getting fabulous rates and I get RACK RATE. I don't want RACK RATE. I would rather have a discount than a Mickey Monitor.

pixiedust: for AP rates for you!

I think I liked the talk of Webkinz better than the waxing :rotfl2:

Definitely ditto! (Except that I know what a Brazilian is). :rotfl:
