Deb - I found those Teacher Appreciation labels on my laptop if you want them. Or anyone else that is interested. It's Teacher Appreciation Week next week, so I'm trying to get prepared.

It's next week :scared: Thanks for the heads up. Hunter has the same teacher as last year so I will have to do something different. I would love the file though as I may very well need it another year. Thanks

Does anyone know the DisneyShopping discount codes. I see a 10% sitewide and ship for $5. Any better ones out there?

That's all I see on Mousesavers. There's always the DVC discount, but if there's already 10% sitewide it doesn't matter (they don't stack).

Thank you.

I just received an email from the Coral Reef. It seems that our ADR time is too late for a diver. They will customize our menu though :thumbsup2 I just sent them a couple of pictures. Hopefully Chris won't lurk here tonight as I haven't mentioned it.

Our kitty isn't feeling well. I'm not sure if he is stressed from the rennovations, the fact that I've had to move his litter box several times over the last month or if he is mad about something. I caught him pooping in our basket of mismatched socks at midnight last night. Then he proceeded to howl for several hours. He seems to be eating and using his box and he has seemed ok up until this point. :confused3

Prayers needed. I can't give details but it is not life & death. My niece has to testify in a trial. Please pray for a speedy trial and a good outcome. The trial starts next Thursday. Chuck & I will be going down there to be with my sister, niece & nephew while it lasts. Both of us are able to work from anywhere as long as we have internet access. I've already cleared it with my boss.

You got them, Vicki! As many and for as long as you need!

Good morning! Thank you for all your compliments on Alyssa's portraits. :goodvibes I've been really happy with JCPenney, and the price is right too, when I don't get suckered into their enhancements (they get me every time! :teeth: ).

I'm sure you all think I'm just being a slacker about posting pictures of baby Jack, but we're actually having a problem with our BRAND NEW Dell. Apparently, we need a new motherboard and card reader. The tech guy is supposed to be here before noon. Thankfully, it's not a hard drive issue, but this is still very annoying.

Jennifer, it was great to see some pictures of your girls!

Tia, the pictures of Terra are so cute, too!

Anne-Marie, welcome home and congratulations on becoming a CM!

Robyn, good luck with your mortgage issue.

Vicki, woo hoo, post 10,001 and prayers for your niece.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday! :grouphug: and :wizard: to all!

Yes tomorrow is May Day!

Does anyone remember making May Day baskets and leaving them on people's doorknobs? My mom used to do that with us when we were little. She'd make little "baskets" out of paper cups and ribbons, we'd get up really early on May 1, pick a bunch of flowers to fill the baskets. Then we'd hang them on our neighbor's doors, ring the doorbell and run! It was always so fun!

Later in the day, my father's students from the theater department would set up a maypole on the campus quad, there would be dancing, a picnic, and just a bunch of fun! What memories!

Please, please, please!!! I'm trying to get end of the year gifts together for all our teachers. We've had phenomenal teachers this year!!!

Yesterday was quite a day! I'm just glad it's over, and I don't have to do anything today!!!

Leslie came home from school just crying. Apparently, she jumped off the top of a slide on the playground and landed wrong on her foot. She was in a lot of pain, but I never got a call from her teacher or the school. They just propped her foot up and put ice on it. She had to hop all the way from the bus stop to our house. If I'd known, I'd have gone with the wagon to pick her up! Anyway, her foot was black, and bruised and a bit swollen. I gave her aspirin, iced her foot and propped it up. 2 hours later, she was still screaming and couldn't put any weight on it at all. So, I took her to the instacare clinic where they x-rayed her foot. They found "an anomaly", so x-rayed her other foot to compare. They think it might be fractured, but can't really read the x-rays, so have sent them off to the hospital to be read (I should hear from them this morning). In the meantime, they've splinted her foot, and she has to stay off it. Poor little thing.

I just hate to see one of my babies in pain! I'm hoping that the call will come that it's not broken, but sprained really badly. I'd hate for her to start the summer off with a cast! Oh well, at least she gets to act the princess of the palace around the other kids. They are all feeling so sorry for her that she doesn't have to lift a finger for herself. Katie is carrying her all over the place, and Mary just sits by her, patting her hand, and rubbing her head. She keeps saying, "my poor twinnie, my poor twinnie", and Jacob gets her snacks and drinks. I don't think she'll ever want to be "normal" again.

Katie gets to go the Utah Symphony today! I'm so excited for her! She started playing the violin 2 years ago, and this is the first professional concert she has attended! I can't wait to hear how she liked it!

Well, that's what's going on here, lately. I'm going to go shower quickly, and then relax for a while. Got to finish reading "The Tenderness of Wolves" for book club tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Similar thing happened to Abi and her arm in first grade. No call, nothing, from the school. They said she was "pale, but wanted to stay at school." Who in their RIGHT mind let's a first grader decide if she needs to go home??

Hope Leslie feels better pronto!!

I think that's the thing I'm the angriest about. I just would like to be informed by the school when my child has been hurt. Then let ME and my child decide what's right. I called the principal this morning and spoke to him about it. He told me that he and the office staff were not aware of what had happened, so he's going to talk to the teacher and see where the breakdown in communication came from.

I can pretty much bet that it came from Leslie, though. She knows she's not supposed to jump off things. We've talked about it before, so she probably thought she'd get in trouble.

ARRRGH!! With all the stuff going on around my house...I completely lost track of time and my family will be here next Thursday to celebrate the girl's birthdays!!:scared1:

I have nothing planned...zip zilch nada....did I mention nothing??:rolleyes1

In my case it was 2(maybe 3) grownups who came to the conclusion that Abi could decide. Abi actually fell off the big kid monkey bars. I am not even sure anything was done to correct it.
