:cool1: :cool1: What did you end up buying?

Greetings from the Holiday Inn Express in Manchester, NH.

Today was a busy day. The kids bowled at 11:15, 12:30 and 4 PM. They bowl again tomorrow at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM. Colby had some exceptional games today and Nick and Hunter bowled ok. They were pretty tired by the time they were done. After bowling Chris and DB took the kids to Chuck E Cheese and us girls went to the mall. I only bought a couple of pairs of underarmour shorts for Nick and a few kitchen items at the Disney store for me:rolleyes1 They were on clearance and another 25% off. Chris took the boys swimming when they got back. I had brought back sundaes so we had dessert and now most everyone is sleeping. Hunter is still watching tv though. Overall a good day.

Sounds like a good, relaxing weekend so far, Deb. Just what the doctor ordered!
How close do you all live to Manchester? That is not so far away from where we will be this summer!

Deb - your weekend sounds fun!

Yes I am working on a master's degree. Yes and no, I love the field that the degree will be in. That is non-profit management. I do not necessarily love the classes in and of themselves though. Then again I have basically only taken like the financial type classes. Which are not my cup of tea. In the long run it is a field that I love, helping others and changing lives by allowing people to discover and experience their passions, giving them experiences they might not otherwise have.

I truly feel so many kids do graffiti, get involved in the wrong crowd, cause trouble in school because they do not have access to programs to explore their passions. Especially with schools cutting music, PE, art, home science, agricultural science, tech ed, theater and other programs due to budget cuts. Also if the schools are not totally eliminating these things a kid picks one and can not do more then one because their is such a focus on tests. I feel it is vital that kids have exposure to all areas so that they can decide what they are truly passionate about, instead of just picking one thing and always being stuck in art class because that was their interest in 7th grade when they had to pick an elective.

But I want to use all my interests and passions to put together a non-profit organization to allow kids the opportunity to explore these areas. Whether it it through a center, camp, after school program, home school program, etc I do not know. But I want to give them free and low cost exposure to areas and interests they might not otherwise have exposure to.

:wizard: that it all works out. You have a very generous heart.

What a busy day we've had. Nicholas' team tied, 0-0. They all played really well, and he had a good time. From there we came home, Bob stayed with the kids and I went to the grocery store. Nicholas was to be at a friend's house at 11, then the rest of us went to a craft fair. I don't know why I get sucked into those. They never have anything that knocks my socks off. Alyssa had a bday party at Chuck E. Cheese at 2, and now we are home. Bob is mowing my grass  and I'm doing laundry and DISing. Sshhhhh....don't tell him. ;)

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Sounds like a great day:goodvibes

just had to type and say that i am finally on my new computer :)

:cool1: :cool1:

You guys are too funny! No I'm not ready for the wedding. At all. As for ADR's for dinner - Yep! Ready for that and that date is April 15th. :teeth:

Yes and no. I think I'm getting freaked out over the little things and I know I won't care in the long run. (Like the apps on the menu. I'm at the "I don't care right now" spot on those.) But I've learned to go crying to Bob and he makes everything better.

It will all work out in the end and your wedding day will be perfect because, at the end of the day you've married the love of your life.

Go get em, Mo! It must have been a bad day for our girls. Mine was walking around the 4x4 that surround our swingset, using them as a balance beam. She tripped and landed on a stump in the yard, right on her upper thigh. She was screaming and crying that awful "I'm really hurt" cry and I went running across the yard to her. I thought she was swinging and fell off, and I had visions of a broken arm in my head. But she has a doosey of a contusion on her leg. It's going to be all kids of beautiful colors in the next few days.

Cheeseburger in Paradise has yummy salads!

Oh no, poor Alyssa. How is her leg this morning?

CiP is Mo's favorite place, she calls it Burger in Ice!

Poor Molly  Sounds like she is a trooper though!

::yes:: She's the tough one! Emma would have been done after the first fall!

Robyn, it sounds like Mo was playing rugby, not soccer! I hope she is OK tomorrow. :)

She is fun to watch, she was pushing the kids out of her way to get the ball. She's all good, tells me I'm fine mom and then gives me this

Good morning! I hope you all are having a nice weekend! :wave2:

Thanks again for all the good wishes for Alyssa's birthday and the Fancy Nancy party. We definitely had fun! Here's a little preview of pictures...practicing posture. :rotfl:

Only one more party to go! The last three cakes are frosted. I just need to cut up some fruit, make a quick batch of cole slaw, and wrap a couple presents. I'm glad this is a luncheon...I plan on crashing later this afternoon!

Talk to you all soon!
Amy :)

sounds like just what was ordered for your family!!

Ditto!

I love it!! Alyssa looks so fancy! Matty, however, does not look thrilled at all to have a banana atop his head! And you look fabulous!

I sure hope you get some down time this afternoon, you certainly deserve it.

Thanks Vicki!

We pay the $9.95 per day fee for the days that we use it. Chuck can hook his blackberry up to his laptop and get internet access if we needed.

ETA: Hopefully, the DVC resorts will have the free internet service by the time that we are there in June.

Sounds like you are all having a good time!

Just seen this on another thread. I have missed this in the past:

Walt Disney World - Misc
Food Network Challenge - Princess Cakes
They are the most recognized Disney princesses on the silver screen. In this challenge, five of the country's top cake designers transform Snow White, Belle, Cinderella and Jasmine into 3-foot tall cakes.
Sunday April 06, 2008 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Channel - Food Network

I think I will be watching this!

The Travel Channel is currently showing Undiscovered Disney World, then Disney Cruise Line, then Behind the Scenes. I'm missing the 1st 1-1/2 of them because we always watch Sunday Morning.

Have a great day all, I need to get to work!

For you DVC members, have you received your 2008 planner yet? I haven't so I'm calling to request one.

We got ours a few weeks ago, finally. I would definitely call and ask, they'll send one out!
