DDA Chapter 5

I have an interview Monday at 10:30am for an Internship in the NICU at Northside Hospital. They deliver more babies than any other private hospital in the country (12,000 the years I was there), and it's where I worked post-partum and where the kids were born. It would be 3 12hr night shifts a week. It excites me, but it scares the living bejeezers out of me at the same time. The NICU is a tough place. I know I'd be great there, but it such a huge responsibility taking care of those tiny babies who are so ill.

Good luck, Denise!:wizard:

Good Luck Denise,

You would be perfect for the position, you definitely will be able to relate to the parents and what they are going through, and look at the wonderful outcome you had. :wizard:

I can't believe they will be having three Christmas parties while we are there, we had decided not to go to one this year and to plan our trip around them, now that is going to be that much more difficult. See Elizabeth, I told you we have this in common. :lmao:

Anne Marie no mention of P&PP dates in August yet :sad2:

ETA: I see the dates have been posted elsewhere, makes me feel better now lol

You can do it, you don't have to much longer to wait now! :cool1:

I am bursting not being able to tell the kids about April!!

Sounds wonderful Glynis & probably just what your mother needs :goodvibes

I also need to clean the guest room out as my mother will be staying with us for 2 weeks while my Dad is in Turkey and Greece. I can't wait!!! It will be great to have her come up and visit us. I usually go to her house, since she hasn't wanted to leave her mother, but since Gram died in November, she doesn't have that excuse anymore. She tried to use her dialysis as an excuse, but we got her appointments at the local center that is 10 minutes away from my house. Dad has been worried about her since her mom died. She hasn't wanted to do anything, so he thinks this will be really good for her. She'll be surrounded by my kids, and my sister's kids, and we'll have some fun!

Denise this is the perfect job for you :goodvibes Good luck with the interview :wizard:

Maybe it is a sign that you should attend one of the parties ;)

Karen I hope she shows up tonight, I would be so upset!

Tammi I agree, very slow day here. Where is everyone :dance3:

Looks like a lit of fun, and yes you do look like sisters.

Glynis - Yeah for Mom visiting, I would give anything to be able to spend time with Mom again.

Chanon - Dinner sounds great, I am still trying new things that are healthy, but it can definitely be limiting. Thanks for the site links, I also like the hint to brush your teeth if you feel like snacking, worst case scenario, I'll have cleaner teeth and fresher breath!

My DD's are really getting excited about the cruise since they are going together now, guess it will be worth "sleeping with the fishes" for. :rotfl2:

Yep. It's always something!:rotfl2: Even if they add P&PP to August we were just lukewarm on it to begin with, so I will ask DS & DH if they want to go and if they don't care one way or the other we will skip it.

Sounds wonderful Glynis & probably just what your mother needs :goodvibes

Glynis, I hope you and your mom have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

We just got back from the park. Princess's play group was meeting up there, and DS and Princess were excited to play at the park. I can take or leave those moms, but it is a BEAUTIFUL day to be outside. I popped Princess in the jogging stroller and we walked. It is farther than it looks.:rolleyes1 DH picked DS up from the park and took him home, so now I just have Princess. I am trying to summon up enough energy to go put her in the tub. I am working until 7 PM tonight so hopefully I will get her bathed and fed before it's time for me to go home.
