Thank you all for the responses about August. I think I will try the break in the day & see how it goes. I normally like to stay at the parks till I am ready to drop as well, but I don't think that will work with the heat.

Debbie sorry you got up for work even though you did not need to :rotfl: Hope you had a wonderful day anyway!

Deb bummer about the tips, hope tomorrow night is better!

Terry & Stephanie :woohoo: on getting your Mousefest tickets!

Good Morning DDA,

It's off to work again, this time I really do have to be there.

Have a great day!

Can I go with your family? My family is a bunch of wimps!
Yep!!!!!!! Last year we did too much. I am promising myself we will s-l-o-w down a bit...we''ll see.

Glynis,
Glad to hear Leslie is better. :wizard: for Katie. Hope the competition goes well & let her participate. They should, it's not like shes not there for an unexcused reason. Good luck to her.

Yesterday I had the day off so where do I end up????

The Disney Store!

I am starting to get things together for the cruise & I wanted to get the kids bathing suits before they are all gone. Yes it is only March but once they are gone thats it.:sad2: I got Daniel the cars trunks in 7/8 which are too big! He's going to be 9 in June & he needs a 5/6!!! I got him the swimtop(rashguard) which would be great since I always have them in tee shirts at the beach to prevent burning. I got Sophie the Sleeping Beauty bathing suit & swim top.

Sophie came home from school yesterday & while she was doing her homework said she didn't feel well. She took a 2 hour nap & then came downstairs & threw up all over the bathroom (& yes the lid was down (again!):scared: ) I was supposed to work today but called in as she is staying home. She is very chipper but looks like a sheet. She was up all night & I think we got 2-3 hrs of sleep. Poor Dana had a 6:30am breakfast meeting in the city

. I just hope he drinks enough coffee today!

I printed up the transfers for the kids surprise shirts but had no time to iron them on the shirts last evening. If I can get Sophie to nap then I can get the shirts done without the kids seeing them. I'll post pictures if I can get that done.

Have a wonderful day.

Good morning :)

Sending lots of :wizard: out for all the sick kiddo's!

Those are very nice!

So, I guess I win the Dumb--s award for today. After getting up at 3:30 am and getting to work at 5:00 am I went to punch in, and the computer told me that I was not scheduled to work. I completely forgot that I was supposed to be OFF today,

Bummer! I'm so sorry. :sad2:

I DID IT!!! I'M ALL CAUGHT UP!!! Thanks for taking it easy on me with only 15 pages to read through today!

Leslie is much better and went to school today. Katie, however, is still quite sick with high fever, cough, sore throat, earache, etc. She's been home from school all week, and looks like at least one more day at home. She's really upset since tomorrow starts the schools storytelling competition. This is what she won last year, and she has been working really hard on a story for this year. I'll have to call the powers that be, and see if she can do her story when she returns. Keep your fingers crossed.

Luckily, Mary and Jacob have escaped this round of sickness. Knock wood that continues. I'm desperate to have the house to myself again!!! I need some mommy time without kids around!

There's some talk of Easter starting up. Here's what my kids are getting in their baskets (besides the required candy): Katie: High School Musical 2, Jacob: Pete's Dragon, Leslie: Barbie as the Island Princess, and Mary: 101 Dalmations. The twins birthday is also coming up 2 days before Easter. So, I'm getting Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium for Mary, and Enchanted for Leslie. That will be a fun weekend of movie watching at our house!

Gotta go shred the chicken for dinner. Talk to y'all later!

I hope Katie feels better, gets to do the competition and does well.

Chanon - loved your slideshow!

Tia - I am SO glad you found so many pictures hiding on Photobucket!!

Tammi - what a terrific job on the slideshow from October.

Great recap so I'll second this!

Tammi -- we are going to do MNSSHP for the first time this year, so Jake was watching the video and getting very excited. Thanks for posting it!

Have a wonderful day.

I hope Sophie feels better and you guys all get some rest.

Andrew and Jake are both thin, and I found that they always wore really little sizes from the DS.

I'm so jealous of your cruise -- you guys are going to have a fabulous time! Be sure to take glow things for pirate night.

Deb -- hang in there -- you can do it! I'm struggling right now but am beginning to feel like I have a handle on my snacking and have increased exercise. Now I need to stick with it!

My SIL has now made two recipes from the WFD thread, and they were both awesome. I highly suggest you guys visit that thread if you don't already. (Thanks again, Glynis, for the lime chicken. SIL made the warm lemon cake last night. I had a several spoonfuls, and that was very satisfying.)

We're expecting more crazy weather today. We've already hit our high, temps will fall and we are expecting rain/possible snow for tonight. I'm still hoping I'll get to see some big fat flakes!

Sending PD to everyone who needs it! :)

Does she actually refer to herself as Princess and to DS as DS??? :rotfl:

Nope. Feel free to mentally insert the proper names as you read along.;)

I've started to count how many times she starts a sentence, gets halfway through, starts another sentence, gets halfway through, starts another....well you get it. It drives me MAD!

Paula Abdul is not very articulate. I think she gets flustered because she has a very short amount of time to comment.

Yep!!!!!!! Last year we did too much. I am promising myself we will s-l-o-w down a bit...we''ll see.

Glynis, I hope all is well at your house soon!! :wizard:

Anne Marie - I am getttng a little bit better about the midday breaks, but we are still at the parks EVERY DAY at rope drop, and other than our DTD day we are at a park EVERY DAY. No sleeping in and no resort/pool days.
Poor Sophie! I hope she feels better soon!:wizard:
Disney Store sizing is just bizarre. I bought DS some pirate swim trunks last year - I think they are size 8. I am sure they will still fit him.

You will all have such a good time! I am going to miss going to MNSSHP this year :sad1:

Tammi -- we are going to do MNSSHP for the first time this year, so Jake was watching the video and getting very excited. Thanks for posting it!

I was very productive yesterday... I got our taxes done! :yay:

Even better is that we are getting a fairly large refund because of Kristin's education expenses. I told Bob we ought to enjoy it because chances are that is the last one we will see in a while! ;)

The Mega Mouse Meet was sold out in just 38 hours. Stephanie and I have our tickets. Cannot wait. :cool1:

Chris and Deb, If if works with your schedule, we would love to meet you and your family that Saturday evening for supper. We can keep in touch as time gets closer.

We will definitely keep that in mind. We haven't mapped out our routes yet so that will come into play a bit. The good news is that we gave ourselves an extra day to get home so it is a real possibility :thumbsup2

 I hope that she is feeling better. There is nothing worse then having a sick child.

My Mom called this morning and needs me to work for her while Colby is at school today. I guess I should get moving as I still need to shower and Colby is insistant that I play with him

You're welcome. The halloween music is very catchy.

Congrats on the great refund. How is Kathrin enjoying Boston and her new job?

Our house looks like a cyclone came through here since I have not been around on a weekend to do any work since February 2nd! Bob is coming home early today to get some things cleaned up. I can't figure out why he couldn't do any of it on the weekends he was here all by himself. :confused3 Maybe it was because I was not here pushing... I mean encouraging him!

Kristin's Spring Break is next week, but she is done this afternoon at 4:00. Too bad I am not done until 9:00! ;) I hope to get the beds changed today since that can be done while I am working on other things. Then I will drive to Richmond tomorrow morning and bring her home. Maybe she can put the Christmas decorations away this week! :rotfl:

I am the co-chair of our annual Sonata/Sonatina Festival which is held at The University of Mary Washington on Saturday. I have tons of things to get done today and tomorrow in addition to my normal teaching schedule.

I hope your kiddos all get to feeling better. I have lots of students who are missing classes and lessons. Sometimes it is because they are sick and sometimes it is because their parents are the ones who are in bed with the flu or the stomach thing that is making its rounds here too.

I had better get to it. Have terrific days, friends!

Congrats on the great refund. How is Kathrin enjoying Boston and her new job?

She is enjoying it a lot. Thanks for asking, Tammi!

She actually got to start some writing yesterday in the midst of all the training. They have never had a writer on their staff so everyone is extremely apologetic when they bring her things for the proposed newsletter that she will put out over the next two months. :rotfl:

Oh yes it is!!!!! Love that music. I loved your pictures of the parade as mine did not come out that well. That was such a fun night!
