for Dana & some lottery tickets to put inside...no gifts, the cruise & 2 Disney trips are our valentines, mothers day, fathers day, birthday, anniversary, & Christmas gifts this year!:lmao:

I have religion this afternoon so I have to tidy up the house & get all this darn wash put away.

Katie has been like this all morning.

I would also like to get my ADR's for August finalized as my 180 day is next Wednesday.

Janet-I hope your night went okay.

Glynis-They say that the chicken pox vaccine may not be 100% effective but that kiddos that get it, get the chicken pox less severe than without. Jim got chicken pox 2 weeks before our wedding:scared1: . Cassidy got the pox the week before she had an appt. for the vaccine...in the middle of summer:scared1: . Hope Katie is doing better today!! Sorry about the science fair but I am glad she was able to get the project done early.

Tom-cute outfit:goodvibes

Thanks for the birthday wishes...slept in today...which is a rarity...

Since we still have so many TS credits left (due to the issues that they are having with this plan) we are doing an early lunch at Coral Reef...and then a late dinner at California Grill. Hopefully this works...Bill is obsessed about using all these darn credits...I feel like I may die trying :rotfl2:

I think we will check out the DVC Welcome Home Wednesday spiel..I don't really care for it...but Bill wants to do it and I can zone out.

Have a good day everyone...

I got home tonight at 12:12pm and just now have calmed down to be able to sleep.

My flight was to leave Atlanta tonight at 6:25pm but was delayed till 6:41pm coming into Baltimore. We landed early and I started asking how the roads were. Hal and even Stephanie were checking for me on the computer and with relatives to see if there was any indication on the driving situation. I got to my car and spent over 20 minutes trying to clean about a 1/4 inch of ice off the windows. This was with the van driver helping me. I am so thankful he came back to help me. He did leave before I could give him a bigger tip so an email will go out to the company making sure he gets recognized. :goodvibes

Driving home was not bad at first, but after I stopped to get ribs from our favorite rib place, the weather went downhill after that. As soon as I crossed the Pa border, it started sleeting and the road was awful. It was terribly slushy and if a vehicle passed me, the wave of water and ice was immense and I almost had to come to a stop to be able to see. I kept thinking I should just have stayed near the airport and driven home the next day.

I am also feeling real sick with a blocked ear that will not pop and a very stuffed nose.

But my sister was able to try on my crocs and loves them. We found a kids shoe store and she was able to get the mammoth ones for $19.90. She also got the bright blue ones and I found the green ones. Very electric looking. So I will go out this weekend to get the mammoth ones too. Very comfortable. That will make four pairs for me. I did get the Relief ones and really like them. Very comfortable. No pain in the heel at all.

Now to go to bed and hope I can get out in the am for work.

The ice did take down a birch tree in our front yard. Thankfully it was not really tall, but it was so pretty.

Wow! What a scary trip home!:scared1: I'm so glad you made it safely!

I can't recommend the mammoth crocs enough!! They are my favorite around the house shoes!

Take it easy and feel better soon. I hope your ear doesn't get any worse!

Good Morning DDA!

School is on a two hour delay today, so I thought I would take a few pictures of the Tink outfit I made.

I shared this on the Disboutique thread, but I thought I would hear what my "family" thought of this one.:goodvibes

Oh, I really  that! Very cute.

Good morning, all! Quick post before we've got to run. We're delivering Valentine's to Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House that Rachel's Girl Scout troop made. Have a good one!

You all make my day.... these babies are so loved and you don't even "know" me! Less than a week, and you'll know. My parents have to know first! ;)

Poor Katie! Congratulations on honorable mention at the science fair, but how unfair that she didn't get to go! :( I hope she is feeling better soon!

I guess we can wait until your parents know. We are just all so thrilled for you! Alan and I keep talking about all the stuff that you and Kyle are going to experience, and it just is so much fun! I know that people tell you that the first year will be a blur, but really, you are going to cherish every moment!!! I promise! Even the bad times!

Katie is feeling so much better! All the pox except 2 have scabbed over. I'm keeping her home one more day, but will let her go to school for the Valentine's day party tomorrow, barring any new pox!

Good morning. So do you remember yesterday when you all were talking about the ice storm and I said all we were supposed to get was rain??? Boy were they wrong. We had a 2 hour delay this morning, so I took that opportunity to let the kids sleep in. Now I guess they are calling for snow tonight. I need to listen to the forecasters to see just what is up.

Love it!!! You do such a great job!

Oh, that's funny! We'll find out if Chuck is lurking later in the week. I got my haircut and colored today. I'm going to take a picture and post it probably tomorrow. It is darker with some red. I like the cut but I'm not too sure about the color yet. If Chuck is lurking, I'm sure I'll hear about the DDA seeing it first. :lmao:
I can't wait to see it!

I have a 5 year old and he doesn't talk well on our home phone. Then again I have a 5 year old nephew and he calls here and to my parents house all the time and his parents have no idea. He has memorized our phone numbers. I'm not sure which would be worse with a cell phone.
My kids call people all the time, either on my cell or the house phone. With speed dial, all they have to do is know that Grandma is #1, Dad is #3, etc etc. They all have the same numbers on each phone so no confusion. I don't know if this programming is helping or hindering though. :confused3

Things are looking up here! Katie is feeling fine, the other kids are showing no signs of chicken pox, the sun is shining (at least for a few more hours), and my house is relatively clean!

I'm going out in a little while to do some Valentine's Day shopping, and then home for a cozy afternoon with Katie! We're going to watch Gone With the Wind! Love that movie, and since she's going to see it in London, I want her to have an idea of the story!

Got to get all the stuff ready for my Valentine's day breakfast tomorrow. It will be interesting. 2 of the kids have play practice at 7:30, so I need to have their breakfast ready by then. Should be ok, though! I'm stumped for dinner. I was going to do heart shaped pizza, but the kids don't want that. I'm trying to rethink it, now. Maybe I'll make dill chicken. It's fast, easy and yummy. I'm also doing artichokes to go along with that. Dessert will probably be cupcakes, or a chocolate covered strawberry cake (if I'm feeling ambitious). We'll see!

That's what I learned about today. I bought a bunch of product and a round brush. The beautician showed me how to style my cut. We'll see how it looks tomorrow when I do it myself.
It takes a little more effort that just wash and go. I'm so particular about my hair that I could never do that. When I was younger and big hair was in, every morning I would either curl my entire head with a curling iron or set it in hot rollers. At least now with just styling it while I'm drying it I've cut the time down some.
