DDA Chapter 25

I managed to get a couple of loads of laundry done today as well as changing Hunter's winter and summer clothes around. I confirmed that he has enough outfits for the trip. I only need to find a couple of pair of dressier pants and he will be ready to go. I did Colby's the other day and he is in good shape too. I'm all set. I still need to check on Chris and Nick. I'm accomplishing this as I clean rooms before next weekend's party. It adds time to the project, but I'll know where I am packing wise too. Once all these events are done we will be pretty close to our trip. I worked tonight, but thankfully I was in the back room which meant I just went in and did a couple of moderate sized parties and came home. I waited on 20 people and was only gone 3 1/2 hours. That gave me time to come home and do our budget/pay bills. Not that I wanted too, but at least it is done.

Good morning. :)

Debbie - Good luck going back to work this week. I hope the new meds help and that you continue to improve. Thanks for the photopass offer, but since we are only there for 2 days, and only going to the park for a day, I have to say no. I'm sure others will jump on it. The more people you get the less it will be!

Robyn - Sorry about your fender bender. Glad no one was hurt.

Elin - we were still down in Massaponax when that storm went through. I didn't realize it was so bad.

We were driving home from Stratford Hall in it!

We could see it coming because that drive is on such flat land. The lightning show as we approached Fredericksburg was pretty awesome, and I think we also drove through the wind burst that was responsible for my toppled umbrella.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Off to buy an umbrella!

Good Morning!

So I've started looking over our plans for our "laid back" anniversary trip, somehow I've managed to make ADR's for all but four days, :rotfl:, I'm sure that comes as no surprise to anyone here.

My SIL, the one who booked the Premium plan on her last trip has booked it again. Like last time I will keep my opinion to myself, but I just don't get it, they are staying at Pop to save money but booking the Premium plan, :confused3, the kids are too young for most of the tours, not to mention they could have taken advantage of the kids stay and play free.

Good morning,

Yesterday we celebrated Daniel's birthday with his friends. I didn't want to post pictures on here or FB since there are other kids in it & I am not sure if their parents want there pictures online. We all went to see The Karate Kid which was a very good movie. I advise you to go see it you will love it!:thumbsup2

We came back home for pizza, cake, & ice cream. I thought the kids would play Wii or something but noooooo..the just ran around the house squeeling, laughing, & throwing each other with balloons at each other..all that sugar must have kicked in. :lmao: They eventually calmed down but it was cute when some of the kids left they said it was the most fun party they have been too...who knew? :rotfl2:

Have a great Sunday.

Debbie,

I wasn't planning on doing photopass this summer but if there is a share I think we would join. Thanks!

Sounds like a good time, Anne Marie. Nicholas wants to see KK. But he also wants to see Prince of Persia, the "other" Avatar movie, Iron Man 2, etc etc. Gotta wait for Red Box!

Speaking of ADRs, I'm trying to plan mine for December. Since it will be just me and the kids, I'd like to have more of a laid back kind of trip. But I can't fathom not having an ADR, and then trying to eat somewhere and be turned away, or having to wait forever.

Elin - what are your dates in December? Would you like to try to get together for a meal if our scheduels mesh? If not, I totally understand!

And don't forget Toy Story 3!!!

You could just make adr's for everyday & then cancel later if you decide to do CS just to be on the safe side.

That's what I plan on doing. Two must do's this trip are CP and Puck's. 1. We've never been to Puck's and 2. CP was closed last time we were there. The kids really liked Tusker House, so I think we'll go back there. And I keep wanting to try Ohana for dinner but then I read reviews of that place and get scared off. We need to just try it and see for ourselves. Our Epcot and HS days are still up in the air. Not enough choices at HS and we've been to most of the countries. I'm thinking either Italy or Germany. But then we haven't been to Le Cellier for a few years so maybe it's time to go back there. And we are eating at FF and CMC in July, so I'm not sure if we wil repeat those so soon. Maybe CMC since in July we are having breakfast there, then we could have dinner in Dec. I need to sit down with the kids and plan. ADRs open on Friday!

Chuck really likes Ohana's. He keeps talking about going back there with a larger group so he doesn't feel like he is wasting food. Becky and I enjoyed it as well.

We ate at Puck's last summer & the food was very good. I like Ohana but my 2 younger ones were not thrilled & Katie eats so little, money wise it was a waste for us. I do love the food though. :lovestruc

We enjoy Wolfgang Puck Express on the West side. We've never tried the regular restaurant.

I'm trying to talk Chuck into going in October. I need to check my miles to see if I can get at last one free ticket. I think I have enough to get at least one free ticket. I think the miles expire in November. That might be enough to convince Chuck.

We had quite a line of thunderstorms come through here a little while ago. It picked up my patio umbrella right out of the stand and knocked over the table and flung the umbrella across the yard! The umbrella was secured and somehow it pulled it completely up, and in the process pulled it out of the very heavy glass-topped metal table. It could have been much worse. The table did not break and the umbrella didn't hit anyone or go through a window. I was not planning to have to buy a new one this year but it is only the second week of June, so I need to do some shopping tonight or tomorrow morning.
YIKES!!! We had some wild storms-micro bursts-last weekend. We were really lucky they didn't hit us camping. Good luck umbrella shopping today.

How fun! I want to see that Karate Kid movie.

I've told DH he should bring the kids up to my office next Friday to go see Toy Story 3 in 3D near my office. I was thinking I could buy the tickets at lunch. I've got 2 free tickets from buying Toy Story 1 & 2 on blu ray.

I've had mixed experiences at OHana. The first time we went was great. The next time the servcie was so bad we haven't been back since dispite staying at Poly so often. I think it would be more fun with a larger crew.

I don't think 5 months is too close to do Flying Fish twice in. I can't wait to go back in July and I was just there in May. Not sure what Emma will eat there but that is her problem. I think she can get plain pasta. She can eat bread and sit nicely while those who eat real food eat. ;)

Vicki-it would be a shame to loose miles!!! Will you have APs?

DH & the girls are at a father/daughter girl scout bowling party. Joe & I went to Children's Sunday at church. Joe & Lizzy have their piano recital this at 3.

I was sitting here thinking that I need to give some thought to meals for the December trip too. We booked the DP this time and are at AKL-CL. Three of our meals we will not be able to use TIW so the DP makes sense for us this one time!

I know we will have Christmas morning breakfast at Boma.

We need Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas dinner. I have no idea where we will eat... maybe Jiko on Christmas if we go fairly early before they are out of food and full of nasty, tired CMs. ;) Christmas Eve... maybe FF, but Bob says he doesn't want to go there again. :confused3

12//22 - dinner?
12/23 - dinner?
12/24 - FF for dinner??
12/25 - Boma for breakfast, Jiko for dinner??
12/26 - breakfast w/ Sunrise Safari, late lunch??

Elin - what are your dates in December? Would you like to try to get together for a meal if our scheduels mesh? If not, I totally understand!

I am thinking we may not be overlapping... We are only there 12/22-26 this time.
