Anne Marie, your pictures make me want to be on my cruise all the more. Wonderful pics. Looks like you had a great time. Love the flower ones too! Thanks so much for sharing.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Tammi, your kids are so photogenic. You look so much like your mom and your kids look just like you. Thanks for sharing. You took some amazing shots at the zoo.:cool1::cool1:

I'm telling you, I think the DDA has the most beautiful kids in the world. :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Tammi,
You have such a beautiful family. :goodvibes The kids have gotten so big. I think you got great shots from the zoo too.:thumbsup2

Tammi - loved the pictures! Your camera did a wonderfu job but you have a good eye!

I think it was Glynis who asked to see some pictures, so you can blame her. ;)

I take one of the kids next to this bunny every year. I'll have to dig out their baby pictures and compare.

Go ahead, and blame me! I LOVE these pictures!!!

When did they get so grown up, that's what I want to know!!! Alyssa is such a little lady, and Nicholas looks so handsome in his suit!

Thanks for satisfying me!!! I'll work on getting some up today.

Tammi nice pictures, was Alyssa sleepy or does the poor girl suffer from allergies?

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone. I don't know where my little babies have gone. :confused3

Heidi - she doesn't have allergies. That's just how she looks!

Speaking of allergies....I got walloped since coming back to VA. The trees in PA haven't sprouted nearly as much as they have here, so the pollen today was a shock to my senses. I was miserable!

Terry - It took me a while to realize what PIF was! :rotfl:

Nicholas has a friend sleeping over tonight. Hopefully they won't wreak havoc on me.

Thanks, but I was looking for something a bit more "portable". Alyssa has to do an Ancient Egypt project and she wants to make a sarcophagus out of dough. I swear the teachers must sit for hours, trying to come up with ideas to make parents crazy. The worst thing is, there is no point in putting a lot of effort into it, because she won't get a "grade" on it. Our insane system will give her a "3", meaning "meets standards."

I have a suggestion though I haven't tried it. If you want to make a miniature, think Barbie sized. You could get sculpty clay, the kind that you bake. Cut out pieces and cook the pieces then hot glue together. You'd need a back, kind of diamond shaped but less pointy then a square or rectangle for the top and bottom walls and 4 more rectangles for the sides then a top the exact same as the bottom.

Shape examples:

Now that I think about it, you could do it out of cardboard and duct tape too.

We've only made one out of plywood (doesn't that sound strange). We painted it gold and decorated it with fake gemstones.

It's Over!!!:cool1::cool1:

We made almost $3000 today. Everything went pretty smoothly other than one smallish (or not so small) grease fire (inside a turkey roaster) The janitor and one of the Dad's (a fireman) were able to smother it with the lid after a few minutes. Thankfully we were cooking outdoors so it didn't end up being a big deal. The Carnival tickets made $525, the Concession Stand around $500, the dance last night $350, and the basket raffle $1700ish. I haven't gotten the exact amounts yet, but that's pretty close. I'm glad to have it behind me and I'm looking forward to a stress free day tomorrow.

Good evening DDA,

We have my MIL back in the hospital, she was having dizzy spells, had trouble with her depth perception, heaviness in her chest and shortness of breath. Of course with her recent history they admitted her and are running tests to rule out heart problems, a stroke or bleeding in the brain. So far all the tests have been good.

I had to go for my regular blood work this morning and saw a horrible wreck, a truck made a left hand turn into a motorcycle, I got there right after it happened, the biker was pinned between the truck and motor cycle, which was somehow standing up, and was slumped over the top of it with his head and arms hanging down, not moving. My daughters BF is a firefighter and luckily he made it and is expected to make a full recovery, I honestly thought that he was dead when I saw him.

My daughter took the kids to visit her Granny in the hospital and got home to find several fire trucks in her yard, there was a woods fire and it was dangerously near her home. They put it out and had the forestry department come out, they dug a trench for a fire break, but I still wish she would have packed up my babies and came here for the night.

Love the pictures Anne Marie and Tammi, thanks for sharing

My doctor's office called Tuesday to let me know that he had an emergency and would be out of the office and had to reschedule my appointment so no news on the shoulder yet.

Glad things went so well for you today Deb, Congrats on a job well done.

How's your knee Heidi?

Tammi - Good luck with that project. Sounds like a lot of busy work, doesn't it?!?!?

Deb - I am glad your day was such a success!

Debbie - You had a very stressful day.

Wow, what a rotten day. :wizard::wizard:For you MIL and that the fire is indeed out:wizard::wizard: That accident must have been a scary sight :scared1: I'm glad he is going to be okay.

Kristin and I went to the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond this afternoon. What a delight! The glass sculptures in the midst of all these other photos are the work of one man, Hans Godo Fräbel.

Also, in some of the water shots you can see the pollen swirling. It looks like marbled paper! yuck...
