Happy Birthday to Colby and early birthday wishes to Chris. I hope Nick is feeling better, too, Deb.

Vicki, I'm sorry you had to spend your birthday alone, searching for old crushes on FB. ;)

Welcome back Heidi! It was great to see a picture of you and Debbie, even if you said we should ignore it. :)

Elin, I'm sorry everything is in limbo right now, and I'm very sorry you can't go to the funeral.

Anne-Marie, I was frustrated when our 5-year-old TV died. Hope you can eliminate those gremlins before something else stops working!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: I wasn't searching for old crushes on Facebook. I was searching for old friends and saw an old crush. There's a difference. I don't have a folder on him or anything!!! :lmao: I pulled up the class of 1979 for Brighton high school. I looked at all 100 of the people to see if I recognized any names. I hadn't thought of him in years so when I saw his name it all came flooding back.

Well, after staying up to administer stitches to a mouse's eyeball, I think I'm off to bed. Terra's Tutter stuffed animal met up with Bella (Kristi's dog) tonight and suffered a torn eyeball. The eyes are apparently just a piece of fabric over a plastic eyeball. Luckily, the plastic wasn't pierced, just the fabric torn. I was able to sew the ribs back together to Terra's satisfaction so all is well now. It was a couple of hours of concern though as Tutter is about as alive as any stuffed animal could be. Phil voices him when they play and Tutter has even been known to talk to Terra (and me, much to my personal dismay) on the phone when we're out of town. Phil's voice is an uncanny resemblance and he does it so well, it's hard to remember that Tutter isn't real sometimes, even for me. Luckily, though, all is as it should be now. Terra waited up for me to finish sewing him up and is now crashed out on the playroom floor. Guess I get to carry her up the stairs. When did she get so big that I can barely do that anymore?

Night all!

I actually had to sew up a snake once. I hate snakes. I told Becky that I had to love her very much to be sewing on a snake. I'm glad the surgery was successful!!!! It's amazing how well loved stuffies can be.

 I know it has to be hard for you both.

I sent you an online card but you haven't opened it. Did you get it? Or am I using an out of date email address?

Same thing for Jennifer (Tink). Maybe the email addresses I am using for you all are not up to date. Me thinks we could use another DDA contact list.

My new email is meyerv@charter.net so if you have the up.net one, you have the wrong one.

Happy Birthday Colby!

OMG I just spent 6 1/2 hrs cooking meat. Somehow the door to our deep freeze came open and the meat got all thawed out. Luckily the high today was only uppper 50's. Luckily I wanted something out of their for lunch so I found it before all the food got spoilt. I guess their was a reason I had a high temp yesterday. So that I had to stay home today. Thank God for 2 friends that live close by who let me borrow their crock pots. I also sent some meat to my moms. Still have some more to cook tomorrow. Jeff spent 3hrs grilling meat as well.

I did have to toss some meat as it had gotten a hole in the package, and I had to toss some TV dinners and hot pockets I had out their. And some Vanilla Ice Cream

Jennifer sorry about the meat in your freezer! Glad you caught it before you lost everything & now you have some meals cooked :thumbsup2

Jennifer - I am glad you caught the freezer fiasco in time!

Well, as of midnight last night, our Girls' Trip is still a go. The three of us talked and Sandy really feels she needs to escape, if only for a couple of days. The only change to the plan is that she is going to bring her DD along. I adore Hayley so that is not a hardship at all!

My only concern is that we are staying in an AKV studio. She thinks they will get us a rollaway. I thought I read somewhere that they won't do that. Am I mistaken? Sandy and Val planned to share the bed and I was going to sleep on the fold out. I am perfectly happy with leaving the couch folded up so there is room for a rollaway, but... :confused3
