Hope it's a great day, Vicki!!

Good morning, DDA!

Just a quick hi before I'm off. Terra's calling for some help making a playing card house/castle and I promised to make oatmeal. Lots of cleaning and organizing to be done around here so I've got to find a way to work though this on going lethargy. I just don't seem to have the energy for much and can't figure out why. Blech! Terra, on the other hand, seems to have the energy of 5 the last few days so maybe she can do the cleaning?!?! ;)

Guess, I'm off to move the laundry, find that oatmeal and build a castle...

Oh wow. I'm so sorry.

What a wonderful tribute!

Jennifer -- sorry you are sick. Congrats to Olivia for losing her tooth! Tell her she doesn't have to share everything... :rotfl:

Kristine -- I'm glad you are feeling better, except for your back. I can think of a few other things that would have made your back worse, so I guess it's good it was only drying your hair. You are so close to your trip! I hope you get to feeling even better.

Amy -- glad you made it safely. I hope Kevin is feeling better and y'all are having a blast.

Debbie -- sorry about your last day. I hope you are feeling better.

we have not lost the tooth yet it is loose. I knew it was probably coming as she was sharing my drink with me wed night.

My dr is full. So I will see one of her oartners at 230. Why do the girls think they need to eat.

Happy Birthday Vicki!!!

Bernadette,

Wow! You did such a great job on all those projects! Katie wants to make clothes but I have no idea how to sew. I have been looking for a sewing class for her but they are all for adults during the school day. Maybe I should just go & then teach her...but she doesn't listen to me.
Thanks! Do you have any JoAnn's Fabrics near you? They have kids classes.

I got an email from one of my early December WDW trip friends last night. This is my first online friend I was brave enough to meet 13 years ago. She is also the friend I always rent my DVC points from.

I am devastated right now, but my grief cannot match hers. Her DH died while out biking with friends yesterday. He was only 45 and in good health. He and Sandy have 4 children, 3 in college and one a senior in HS. It is beyond my ability to comprehend right now.
:hug:I'm so sorry.

Bernadette, great projects! I have been busy too trying to get some things done for Christmas gifts.
Thanks! What are you making?

Bernadette - lovely projects as always.

I booked Nicholas' bday party the other day. He will be having it at a new indoor go-kart place that just opened here recently. He is so excited about it. It was pretty pricey, but his dad agreed to pay for half of it.

I'm going to do my shopping today that I didn't get to last week because of all the rain. We have a photo session tomorrow, so I want to get us coordinating clothes. Our church is doing a photo directory and hired a studio to take the pictures. It's free, and we get a free 8x10, and of course, can buy others if we choose. Hopefully ours will turn out nice.
Thanks! I'm sure the boys will have a blast at the party. Our company did an employee event at one of those places a while ago. Good luck shopping-hope your picture comes out nice!

well I went to bed last night thinking my allergies were bothering me. I kept waking up all night feeling hot. Finally got up and found the thermometer. Fever, sore throat and ear pain. I think Olivia has given me her strep. She is feeling much better,
:wizard:Hope you are the mend quickly!

I posted this on FB & I hope you all do not mind that I post it here as well. I wrote this shortly after my mom passed away. I am posting this today in memory of her birthday.

MOM
I never imagined the day would come,
when you would no longer be here
to help us through the years.
You were there to dry the tears,
keep away our fears & keep us full of cheer.
Your arms were always open for hugs,
your heart always open for love.
Your smile would brighten the room,
your laughter would warm our hearts.
Your lovely blue eyes had seen so many things,
but they always shone brightly for your family.
The love that you gave us was so precious & dear,
how could we know the end was so near?
Our hearts ache for you, our pain still fresh.
You are etched in our memories,
you we will never forget.
You gave our children the best love
they will ever know.
A loving grandmother,
to be remembered as they grow.
The day you left us, part of us left to.
How do we go on, what do we do?
We try & stay strong, we try to make it through.
But everyday without you just seems so blue.
You were the light in our lives,
that has now been dimmed.
Life feels so unfair, now where do we begin?
We miss you so much, we want you here.
We are selfish, we want you near.
We know you are watching, helping in some way.
Helping us get through each new day.
Please know that you were loved & always will be.
Forever in our hearts.....
Never forgotten.......
Our mother our friend.

Happy Birthday Mom, I love you & miss you!
:hug:Happy Birthday to your Mom!

Bernadette...you crafty little thing you!!

AFM...Homestretch now! I am feeling pretty good. Except I must have developed sympathy back pain from Elizabeth. This happened while blow drying my hair. Old age!!
Thanks!

:wizard:Hope you find relief for your back!

Bernadette - Love the projects. Are those trashcans to go in the car? They are really cool! Love the pillows, and the shirts for the trip, too! Your work amazes me!
Thanks! Yes the trashbags are for the car. They have a removable inner plastic lined innner bag so you can easily empty them out. Here's the pattern:

Nick is coming down with something. He had a slight fever last night and just felt yucky. A bit of cold and cough. This morning he didn't have a fever so he went to school as he doesn't want to get behind and fears that he may feel worse in a day or two. When did he grow up and start caring about school and thinking ahead?:confused3:love:
:wizard:Hope it is short lived and doesn't get any worse!

Hey! I have NEVER hurt myself drying my hair. Bending down to wipe a kid's nose, yes. Drying my hair, no. DH was fooling around yesterday and pushed down on my shoulders - BIG mistake! :headache: And now the weather has gotten cold so I am shuffling around like an old man. WITH meds. :sad2:
:wizard:Hope it gets better quickly!

Bernadette,

Thanks for the suggestion on Joann's..I did not know they offered classes for kids.:thumbsup2

Popping on to say thanks for the Birthday wishes! :goodvibes And Happy Birthday today, Vicki!

Elin, I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's loss. I had another friend lose her husband recently and it just puts me in a funk to even try and think about it, as much as it makes me grateful for Kyle. I can't imagine how horribly she and the kids are grieving.

Janet, beautiful poem! I saw it on facebook this morning but didn't realize you wrote it. I mean, it was beautiful then too, but I'm even more impressed! to you and your family today!

I hope you all are doing well! I'm (VERY) slowly getting trip report stuff on the blog and pictures to Picasa, but I think I'm on about day 2 or 3 of 10. I'm already missing WDW and wish we would have gone this past weekend as we were supposed to. Alas, I had a good time here. Just not quite the same ;)

Take care, DDA! :goodvibes

Elin...I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.

Janet....I loved the poem. It was sooo beautiful. I hope you don't mind me doing a copy/paste with your name on it. My Aunt Doris passed away suddenly from cancer Feb of this year. This is so appropriate for my cousin Cammie and her family. Doris also had blue eyes and 4 beautiful grandkids. It is almost like you wrote it for our family.

Jennifer, I hope you can get a good antibiotic today!

Elin, I'm so sorry to read about your friend's loss. :grouphug:

Janet, lovely poem!

Happy Birthday Vicki!

MVMCP was great last night. Crowds were light, and Alyssa and Matty were ecstatic to walk right on Goofy's Barnstormer (the CMs let them ride again without making them get off :goodvibes ). That was our only ride of the night, since we spent most of the evening visiting characters: Mickey, Minnie, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tink, Rosetta, and Silvermist (a 5 minute wait for the fairies!), Snow White and her Prince, and Belle and Beast. We watched the second parade, and Matty literally fell asleep on my lap halfway through. Noah and Alyssa didn't fall sleep until the ride back to the Boardwalk, after midnight!

Crowds at HS are light today, even with our late start. Noah is napping, and we're headed back in a bit to Fastpass Toy Story Mania and see the Osbourne lights.

Thank you everyone, the poem makes me cry every time I read it. Lynn you are more than welcome to send it to your family. The 1st Christmas without mom I had the poem along with the picture I posted framed for my brother & sister.

Jennifer I love to write poetry & did a lot in school. Helps me when I am going through a rough time. I saved everything I wrote in school lol

Im home, I got a zpaxk. they have not called to say if it is strep yet. When the dr was touching my lymp nodes on my neck right below my jaw I almost hit him. They are very sore. Jeff took the girls to Olivias Daisy troop meeting.

I had no cavities :cool1: Let's celebrate the small victories. This afternoon I took Colby and Hunter to get their new orthodics so hopefully they will work perfectly and we'll have that behind us too. I also got us tickets to go to the viewing party for Extreme Makeover Home Edition. We will get to meet the family and watch the show with hundreds of other people.

I got an email from one of my early December WDW trip friends last night. This is my first online friend I was brave enough to meet 13 years ago. She is also the friend I always rent my DVC points from.

How tragic, I'm so sorry to hear this

Jennifer - Happy Belated Birthday

Vicki - Happy Birthday

Good to hear you're starting to feel better Kristine

Sorry you and Olivia are under the weather Jennifer

Thanks for the birthday wishes. My coworkers made snacks for all of us. They are taking me to lunch tomorrow with our secretary whose birthday was last week. I have gotten lots of birthday wishes. Chuck & the girls ordered my negative/slide to digital converter. It was delivered on Saturday to the post office and it was too late for me to get it. I am looking forward to getting home and trying it out.

Chuck just called. He got the Mickey Monitor and was seeing the Christmas pictures at Disney. He wants me to check out whether we could throw together a very cheap 3-4 day trip during the week. I would love to be able to do this but we'll have to see if the budget can support it. I miss Disney so much!!!!!!!

I hope your day is fantastic!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I posted this on FB & I hope you all do not mind that I post it here as well. I wrote this shortly after my mom passed away. I am posting this today in memory of her birthday.
Beautiful, Janet

The twins made turkeys out of apples last year. They each got an apple, a baggie full of gumdrops and mini marshmallows, some toothpicks, and a premade turkey head (just cut out of colored paper). They had to put the gumdrops and marshmallows on the toothpicks and stick them in the apples for tail feathers. They turned out really cute, and the kids can eat them, too!
We did that last year too--the kids LOVED them!

I hpoe you can do the trip!

I am finally getting the chance to sit down. Work is CRAZY since its report card week. I got home and have been running around, up and down 2 flights of stairs for the last 2 hours--we got new carpets in the house and im trying to get my room back in order--the chaos is driving me nuts! I decided to take a break to eat and check in with you all!
