Deb any news on the build yet?

Nothing yet. I know that they stopped taking volunteer applications once they received 1000 applications. Spectators can go watch starting on Thursday. I have no idea if we will get to help, but we are planning on spectating on Friday afternoon if we aren't helping.

Deb-

Wish Nick a very Happy Birthday!!!

(he is almost exactly 6 months older than Abi) Ay yi yi!! All of our kids are getting old...who told them they could??

Nick thanks you all for the Birthday wishes. He is certainly in a good mood today. I have no idea who told these kids that they could grow up, but they certainly are. I don't have ANY babies anymore :sad2::goodvibes

It looks like we just have one overnight guest. That's fine with me as Nick seems to be fine with it. I told him he could invite more friends, but he opted not to :confused3 I think he's still shy around girls :rolleyes1

Anne Marie - when do you go to the Miley concert?
Nov 22, what about you? Sophie is so excited everytime we talk about it. I can't remember the last concert I went to....hmmmmm I think it was Brian Setzer.

Apparently I got a "he ll uva" good deal on my AP rate for our Christmas trip. I am quoting a friend who was checking AP rates for our time frame. So, the new Buy 4, Get 3 promotion won't do us any good at all.

If anyone is on the AP site, would you mind looking for the rate that comes up for December 19-24 at POFQ?

I need to dig my AP out of the fireproof box and write down the info so I can get on the AP site. I hate that the site never can seem to remember my info.

Happy Birthday, Nick!

Kristine I hope Jackie has a great time at homecoming! I read in todays newspaper that two 16 yo girls, 1 15 yo boy, & two 17 yo boys were arrested at our homecoming dance Saturday for being drunk :scared1: The two girls admitted to stealing a bottle of liquor from Walmart earlier in the day. Now I am not saying I was all sweet & innocent in my younger years, but I did have sense enough not to go to school functions liquored up

Elin :woohoo: for the raise & bonus!

Deb tell Nick Happy Birthday party:

well certainly not as a freshmen! :rotfl2:

Well, right now she has been holed up in her room for 30 minutes chatting with this guy via facebook. Bill says, "See what you have started Kristine"

Poor Bill....:rotfl2:

We had a nice little party. Pizza and cake for family and one friend. Nick is happy and he is thrilled with his DSi. Now the 4 boys are watching X men. I've still got laundry to finish since our blankets are still in the dryer. I've managed to actually make my house look semi presentable today. Hopefully I can continue the progress over the next few days. If I can't donate my time to Extreme Home Makeover then maybe I can makeover or at least clean my own house :lmao:

Nov. 3. They don't have school that day, so luckily it won't be a rushed evening. I haven't even told them yet!

I wish Miley was coming closer then 2hrs away. If she was here in town then I would have considered it for Olivia.

Tammi...

Maybe Nicholas can tutor Christopher on homework issues!! :rotfl2:Actually I have seen a slight change in Chris......but he is not the driven student like the other 3.

So Homecoming is Saturday...and I am feeling like a nervous wreck. In one of my "moments" I set Jackie up on a blind date. They have now made a facebook connection and it sounds like they have things in common etc. So I am excited for her...but nervous. Also, he is 16. So this will be verrrry interesting

Are you nuts woman?! Setting your daughter up on a blind date. I think I agree with Bill. You don't know what you have gotten yourself into!!!!

No....he just turned 16....and the parents are nervous. So they are delivering him to me....where all of us will take pictures of the 2....and then I will go drop them off. The mother and I went to high school together.....she said to me last night that she gave Alex the "no sex talk" I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry. Bill cried :rotfl2:

My rules for the girls and their friends (male or female) were "No drinking, no drugs, no smoking & no sex". When they turned 18, I changed it to "No drinking & driving, no drugs, no smoking & safe sex". I tried to be realistic.

Well our politicians are doing it to us again. We don't have a balanced budget which means we don't know if we got to work on Monday or not. Two years ago we had to call a specific number in the morning to find out whether we should show up or not. I suspect it will be the same this year since we have a day and it still isn't done. :sad2:

Prayers needed for a friend of mine from Girl Scouts. This is her brother.

 That is very scary. I'll pray for a good outcome:hug::hug:

:hug:You'd think they could manage to create a budget on time one of these years

My brother said tonight that they will be doing more layoffs at his work tomorrow. His department cannot lose anyone else so he is safe. They've already cut back 30% of salaried employees

$866 for a water view (154/night) or $698 for a standard view (124/night).

:scratchin: That was what I was quoted in July too. That is not what this friend (who is a TA in North Carolina) was told today on the phone. Very odd! Anyway, it is still a good deal and we are staying with the AP rate and discounted tickets.

Thanks, Tammi! :goodvibes

We got the phone call tonight!

Alyssa's ballet center called and invited her to be in this year's production of The Nutcracker! The older girls audition for their roles but the younger one's get "invited". This is her first year eligible to be in it. She will be one of the cooks. Rehearsals start at the end of October. She's so happy!

That is WONDERFUL, Tammi. Participation in that annual production is coveted. Congrats to Alyssa!! I will need to buy a ticket, I guess! :goodvibes

Vicki prayers for your friends brother :wizard:

Tammi congratulations to Alyssa :dance3:
