So I wish I was where I was a year ago. In California soon getting on the Magic for the Panama Canal Cruise.

Here
are some pictures of Kouzzina. It looks nice.

Another one from the first public dinners.

I look forward to hearing more reviews

Yesterday I went to Hersheypark. I have never seen it that full in my life and have been there many, many, many times. It was wall to wall people. When we got there they were parking out at the Giant center, I have only seen them do that if there is a concert in the stadium.

Good morning DDA,

Well, I think I need to redo my Friday and Saturday ADRs for my September trip. I'm going to take a deep breath and see what happens. popcorn:: popcorn::

Why do you need to redo your ADR's?

Also they make devices you can attach to the iPhone to extend the battery life. They look like a case and just add a touch of weight and size to the phone.

Elin,
I remember you liked it, even my friend raved about it last year so we were excited to try it. Not sure if we had an off night but it was very dissapointing.

Good Morning

I've started packing the kids stuff to bring to my parent's house. I'm not sending much as they can come home if they need more and mom will wash anyway.

We are sticking odds and ends in our luggage as we go along. I think we might want to stick our rain jackets in the luggage since there are now 4 TDs on the horizon :sad2: We're just hoping to miss the bulk of it. Cancun in the rain sounds like much less fun.
I must have missed your trip planning while I was away. Sounds like fun.:)

On the restaurant board there is a pretty substantial rumor that the Wishes Dessert Buffet/Party is being extended until January 3.

Oh good, I would like to try that.

Thanks for sharing Anne Marie. I'm so glad you had a nice trip. :goodvibes
Thanks!

We just pulled together a Noontime bbq at my parent's pool. We managed 16 people and had a wonderful time. We used to do this regularly, but haven't the last couple of years. Our friends were thrilled to come again :goodvibes The weather was beautiful. Alas I got called into work for 4 PM so we had to leave. It was a wonderfully relaxing afternoon though:thumbsup2

Well I do not have a trip report but here are a few observations.

Boardwalk Inn - Loved it. Concierge staff was nice. Rooms were beautiful. Performers on the BW was so much fun to watch. Bus service (only used to go to MK one day) was fast & BW is the first stop so we always had a seat. Boat to HS was good too BW is 1st stop so again we had a seat. Would stay there again.

Crowds - We were at the parks at rope drop & used FP so we did everything we wanted to & more. However the crowds did get to us at times. If it wasn't for school schedules I would not go in July.

Our birthday - We wore our birthday buttons & every CM wished us Happy Birthday! The piano man on man street even sang to us. We received candy & a banner in our room too. We had cupcakes given to us at Chef Mickeys, Ohana, & Liberty Tree Tavern. It was like being a kid again.

Best & Worst Restaurant - The best service & food was at Prime Time. We had a great server, Cousin Robert who was very funny. He tried to feed Katie a fork full of green beans, she was hyseterical laughing. The food was fresh & yummy....we love PT.
Worst was Raglan Road. This was our first meal of the trip. Our server was great but the food was terrible. Portions were small & the price was huge. Not worth it for us.

CM's - I have read on the DIS that some people think the CM's are not as friendly. However we only encountered CM's that were helpful, friendly, & Disney like. We chatted with many CM's & a few times got to see how they are treated by "guests". We saw one exchange at the GR in MK. I felt so bad for the CM & know they have to put up with alot.

Tour Groups - We got there on the tail end of the TG's so when we did see someone with a little flag we went the other way. One morning when Dana was going to TSM to get FP's, he noticed the woman next time him getting multiple FP's. He said what looked to be as much as 50 tickets or so. Thankfully he was not behind her.

We had a wonderful time. :lovestruc

Sounds like you had a wonderful time Anne Marie, thanks for sharing!

Deb continued :wizard: or great weather while you are on your trip!

My kids want to see Ponyo too..maybe we'll go today..I am so out of it I didn't know it was playing yet.
It just opened Friday.

We had been to Raglan Road at least twice and really enjoyed it but then I read several recent bad reviews and didn't want to risk it this year.

I have to agree with you on the CM's-everyone was wonderful.

I also have to agree on the Tour Groups. We saw them at DHS our first day and that got me all worried but we didn't run into too many others the rest of the trip. I've seen more in Jan & May.

Sounds fun! Hope the weather isn't too bad for your trip. I'm sure you'll have a great time away no matter what!

Hi, everyone! I'm just popping in to let you know that we're back from our week long camping trip. It was great to relax by the lake. Well, at least until Friday morning, when my family picked up the stomach bug that was traveling through the rest of Alan's extended family! Ugh! Let's just say, it was not a pretty ride home. We had 3 of the 5 kids throwing up on the 7 hour ride. Later that night, a 4th started, and by the next day, I was down with it! It looks like it's almost through us all, though. Mary is complaining of a tummy ache, and she's the last one. Hopefully we'll all be better by tomorrow!

Katie starts school on Wednesday, and the rest of the kids on Thursday, so I'm hopeful that once that happens, my life will calm down somewhat!

I know I've missed a ton! Could someone please let me know if anything important happened while I was gone? I didn't miss any babies, did I? Thanks.

Did I miss that Terry was interested in the Backstage Magic Tour? I have done it. LOVED it!

When I was telling Stephanie about going to the talk about Adventures by Disney and hearing about the trip to Disneyland and the Backstate Magic Tour, it seemed that that would work perfectly with our trip sometime in 2011. We did talk about it a little while we were eating lunch at the Magic Meet. I would love to do an Ireland trip with Adventures by Disney.

Becki,,,,thanks for the links. Of course, I had to read them all!!!!

I must have missed that completely, other than the discussion of trying to go to DL in 2011, for my 60th! :rotfl2:

Hello, DDA!

Family is packed up and gone and now things are almost eerily quiet. Amazing what going from 25 people in the house to 3 will do. We had a good time though. Hope everyone's had a good weekend!

Welceom home, Elizabeth.

:welcome: home, Elizabeth!

Thanks, Elin! I just added some pics to the TR especially for you! :goodvibes

Thanks, Tia! Sounds like things have been wild at your house! Quiet is good. ;)

Anne Marie, Bernadette, Debbie, and Tammi - It was so good to see all of you!! :)

Anne Marie - I am glad you liked BWI. I agree that we didn't encounter any rude CMs at all. Well, there was one boy at AK who was kind of a snot, but we laughed him off. We didn't have any tour group issues.
