Hi Heidi....:)

Janet...going Nov 18-29. Wish it was sooner!!!

I'm still alive....I have had major stress in my life for the last month+...I am just now getting back into posting any where.

Often times I find myself posting/answering in my mind....just doesn't seem to make it to my fingers....

:hug:It seems that stress has become a part of most people's lives these days. I wish we could help :hug:

and we all vanished again:confused:

I would physically go after Jim after the last couple of days...but he just isn't worth the jail time or bail. He was home less than 5 minutes and I had a horrible pain in my neck. My mom is coming back tomorrow...but I don't think we will see her again until Friday:upsidedow and then not probably on Saturday, as that is her day for her 40th Reunion and lunch with her SIL. She called today and asked all of our sizes....and she's given me gift cards...I am feeling very, very spoiled. :goodvibes

I wish the stress wasn't there, but it sure is nice to see that you are here and thinking about us. We think about you a lot too! :goodvibes

Theresa - I am glad your mother is able to spoil you.

Theresa just keeping remembering he is not worth it.

Chris just mentioned that our old Camry which has no resale value at this point could be turned in for $4500 in the cash for clunkers program. That is great except I don't "need" a new car and I don't want a payment. We did consider one for Nick, but he doesn't need one for another 2 years so we won't be doing it. It did make us think though.

Hi everyone. It is so busy at work and then I come home and fall asleep at the computer!!!!

So Hal was getting ready to go on a road trip to meet up with two Navy buddies he knew when he was stationed in Hawaii. I remember the two. Nice guys.

Before he left, I told him I was getting sick and tired of our old ice maker. It was not working right. There was a leak and black stuff was peeling off from the inside. If I did not keep an eye on it, there would be nothing but a big chunk of ice and no cubes. I told him he had to get a new ice maker or else. His reply was--so I have to work? I told him either that or he will have no ice!!! :lmao: he replaced it two days later. I made sure to show him how nice it was to have a full container of ice cubes. :rotfl:

So my sister wanted her kids back yesterday.:sad1: My mom picked them up and took them home. Lots of weird things going on over there. I can only pray that the wheels that have been set into motion start to turn quickly because those kids are not in a healthy/safe environment. It breaks my heart that there is not a thing I can do until it gets to the point where it's almost too late. I had a talk with Emma & Alyssa (I talked to both of them together so neither one would feel like I was singling them out) the other day and told them that I am here for them whenever they need me. All they had to do was tell me what is bothering them and while I can't promise to fix anything, I will try by best to make it better.

Hi, DDA!

Long time, no talk. I hope everyone is doing well - I have thought of each of you quite often over the past couple of months, and pray that everyone is having a good summer. I imagine there are quite a few either at WDW right now, or getting ready to leave - I hope you're having/will have a fantastic time! :goodvibes

Life here has been interesting as of late, but we are okay for right now. We found out we're having a little boy (his name will be Austin) a few days before Mother's Day, and then did our traveling to WDW and then Kauai after that. My pregnancy was going well, June turned into July...and then things have changed somewhat.

To make a long story short, I've been to L&D two times since right after the July 4th holiday with contractions, and have been restricted to staying at my house at this point. I have been diagnosed with an irritable uterus (who even knew there was such a thing?!), am already about 50% effaced, and am to rest and be off my feet as much as possible, plus no cleaning, lifting, etc. of any kind. There also appears to be a correlation between some of my problems and the motion of a car, so I pretty much can't be driven anywhere (driving myself is out of the picture at this point) except to my OB's office. Additionally, our little boy isn't cooperating and is still in a breech position - there's still hope that he could still turn on his own, but each week that goes by leads me closer and closer to a c-section delivery - not to mention that his positioning likely complicates things further since all of his kicks and movements puts additional pressure on my cervix.

So....all of that to say that I've been busy, and thus away, but not in the ways I woudl have liked or necessarily been expecting at this point of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, all of this began happening at a pretty critical juncture of some home improvements/baby prep we were doing - a lot of it had to be put on hold since I can't do so much, and those things that had to be done, we've had to have a lot of family help in accomplishing. We're getting closer to being ready at this point, and just praying that this little guy will stay put for another month or so. I'll be 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

I will try to be around much more often, as I've really missed getting to regularly chat with everyone, and now that things are coming together, I will have more time on my hands - and not much else to do but keep connected with my laptop. I would love to hear what all is going on in everyone else's life - I don't dare ask for a huge recap since it's been so long, but if there's something significant I need to be aware of, be praying for, etc., please let me know!

I hope to chat with you tomorrow. Have sweet dreams, DDA! :cloud9:

Lindsay

Hi Lindsay!!!!!
I still remember when Stephanie and I saw you and Jonathan at the Mouse Fest last December. How happy you two looked. I can see that when Austin comes into the world!!! :goodvibes

Stephanie and I are meeting Becky and Elin this weekend at the Magic Meet. We are so very excited.:dance3: Yes we will do the happy dance.:woohoo:

Good Morning. apparently there is a viral thing going around as co workers at both jobs are having tummy trouble. I'm hoping that I had a touch of it last weekend and that I'll be spared from more. I ended up guarding the pool for 3 hours by myself this morning since the other opener went home vomiting  It is supposed to be another nice day today so we will help pile another load of wood and hit the pool for awhile. Otherwise, nothing on tap.

So sorry about the tummy problems. Get better quick.

My daughter Guenna called me to tell me that a day after getting home from a manager's meeting in Arizona, she came down with the flu. Thank goodness I decided not to visit her that same night!!!!:scared: She was tested and thankfully it is not the swine flu. However, a few other co-workers have the same as her too. I will not go to see her until after i have gone to the Magic Meet. I figure by this weekend, her hubby and my little grandson will probably be sick.

You guys have mentioned that no one seems to be posting. I've noticed that when people go away now they tell us they will post on facebook while they are away. DIS used to be the first place we all went :sad2: Even back in the day of slow servers and dial up. Maybe fall will bring us all back together  I don't facebook so I still hang out here. This page is always up on my computer

I always have the DIS page up even at work. It is very hard to do facebook at work so I do not even try. But like I posted earlier, I tend to fall asleep every evening when I first get home. :lmao:

facebook has applications that allow people to update their status and receive messages by phone, as well as upload and post photos from a phone. I am sure this is why our friends opt to post there while they are away.

I come here and to facebook when I get on the web. But when I travel from now on I will probably not take my laptop. It is too costly to have internet service at WDW when you can use your phone to keep tabs for free.

That being said... I miss the faces who have opted to use facebook almost exclusively. I don't understand why it would be so difficult to stop in here and post a couple of times a week. It makes me sad. :sad1:

at home I have facebook up too because I can chat with my kids and friends I don't normally see. My phone does not have the capability to post. This December trip, I will not bring my computer. I figure with Stephanie's I-phone, she can post when needed.

I will admit I am hooked on hatchlings and parking wars on facebook :rotfl:

OMG Kristine--that is me !!!!!! :lmao:

Theresa, just like I told Tammi last year. I have a friend, who has a friend who has a cousin who.....you get the picture!!!!

this is for Elin and Becky.

It gets very cold in the Ballroom. Make sure you bring a sweatshirt or jacket to have in case you do get cold.

It is getting close!!!!

So Stephanie and I made our final plans for our trip in December.

Friday, Dec 4 arrive and go to the MK. Dinner at Narcoosees at 7:30 and then watch Wishes.
Saturday, Dec 5 go to HS get fast passes for Toy Story and then get in the stand by line. Grab a bite to eat and go over to Epcot. Early dinner and back to HS to watch Fantasmic. Sunday--get to the ship and get ready for four fun filled days. That Thursday, Dec 10 get back to CS, Crystal Palace for dinner to get in early for the christmas party. Friday Dec 11 end up watching the CP and hear Andy Garcia. Then watch illuminations. That Saturday, Stephanie leaves and I stay at CS and my one sister Cheryl comes over from St Pete and we will do the christmas party that night and on Sunday we will go to Epcot. This year I want to visit each of the countries and hear their christmas story. Then I come home on Monday, Dec 14.

We would love to meet with anyone who will be there those days.
