Tammi I hope you all have a magical time!

We're having adult beverages. I tried posting before while we were at Magic Tunes but it didn't go thru. Pics on fb

Good morning, DDA!

As always, it's crazy around here. Alyssa & Brenden have been here since Thursday night and will go home sometime tomorrow night. Things with my sister aren't good at all. And it will get ugly before it gets better which I don't think will be anytime soon. :sad2: It's so bad that I am hoping Eric & I will be able to get custody of the kids sooner, rather than later. But we need to have all our ducks in a row. So if you all have any good thoughts to spare I'd appreciate it.

Last night Eric & I went on a date. We had a nice dinner together and then saw Harry Potter. I had already seen it but was so tired the night I did I was up for it again. It just sucked that the theater had the movie in one of the smaller rooms so we were packed like sardines! It felt good to get away from the house for a bit.
:wizard:Those poor kids! Hope you can work things out soon!

Hi, DDA!

Long time, no talk. I hope everyone is doing well - I have thought of each of you quite often over the past couple of months, and pray that everyone is having a good summer. I imagine there are quite a few either at WDW right now, or getting ready to leave - I hope you're having/will have a fantastic time!

Life here has been interesting as of late, but we are okay for right now. We found out we're having a little boy (his name will be Austin) a few days before Mother's Day, and then did our traveling to WDW and then Kauai after that. My pregnancy was going well, June turned into July...and then things have changed somewhat.

To make a long story short, I've been to L&D two times since right after the July 4th holiday with contractions, and have been restricted to staying at my house at this point. I have been diagnosed with an irritable uterus (who even knew there was such a thing?!), am already about 50% effaced, and am to rest and be off my feet as much as possible, plus no cleaning, lifting, etc. of any kind. There also appears to be a correlation between some of my problems and the motion of a car, so I pretty much can't be driven anywhere (driving myself is out of the picture at this point) except to my OB's office. Additionally, our little boy isn't cooperating and is still in a breech position - there's still hope that he could still turn on his own, but each week that goes by leads me closer and closer to a c-section delivery - not to mention that his positioning likely complicates things further since all of his kicks and movements puts additional pressure on my cervix.

So....all of that to say that I've been busy, and thus away, but not in the ways I woudl have liked or necessarily been expecting at this point of my pregnancy. Unfortunately, all of this began happening at a pretty critical juncture of some home improvements/baby prep we were doing - a lot of it had to be put on hold since I can't do so much, and those things that had to be done, we've had to have a lot of family help in accomplishing. We're getting closer to being ready at this point, and just praying that this little guy will stay put for another month or so. I'll be 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

I will try to be around much more often, as I've really missed getting to regularly chat with everyone, and now that things are coming together, I will have more time on my hands - and not much else to do but keep connected with my laptop. I would love to hear what all is going on in everyone else's life - I don't dare ask for a huge recap since it's been so long, but if there's something significant I need to be aware of, be praying for, etc., please let me know!

I hope to chat with you tomorrow. Have sweet dreams, DDA!

Lindsay
:wizard: Hope you can hang on for a few more weeks!

I'm still alive....I have had major stress in my life for the last month+...I am just now getting back into posting any where.

Often times I find myself posting/answering in my mind....just doesn't seem to make it to my fingers....

Chris just mentioned that our old Camry which has no resale value at this point could be turned in for $4500 in the cash for clunkers program. That is great except I don't "need" a new car and I don't want a payment. We did consider one for Nick, but he doesn't need one for another 2 years so we won't be doing it. It did make us think though.
How does the Camry qualify? It is rated at 18 mpg or less on the epa site? Our old Sienna is 19.

So Stephanie and I made our final plans for our trip in December.

Friday, Dec 4 arrive and go to the MK. Dinner at Narcoosees at 7:30 and then watch Wishes.
Saturday, Dec 5 go to HS get fast passes for Toy Story and then get in the stand by line. Grab a bite to eat and go over to Epcot. Early dinner and back to HS to watch Fantasmic. Sunday--get to the ship and get ready for four fun filled days. That Thursday, Dec 10 get back to CS, Crystal Palace for dinner to get in early for the christmas party. Friday Dec 11 end up watching the CP and hear Andy Garcia. Then watch illuminations. That Saturday, Stephanie leaves and I stay at CS and my one sister Cheryl comes over from St Pete and we will do the christmas party that night and on Sunday we will go to Epcot. This year I want to visit each of the countries and hear their christmas story. Then I come home on Monday, Dec 14.

We would love to meet with anyone who will be there those days.
Would LOVE to meet you guys! We have a reservation for 12/1 to 12/7 but don't have airfare yet.

It is Friday for me too. And tomorrow I leave for MagicMeets. Without going into a long story, I am going alone. Bob backed out at the last minute and my feelings are hurt. Remember last month when everyone was commenting on the two of us making it through 36 years of wedded bliss and I said something along the lines of "it isn't always easy" ??? Well, this is one of those times.

The upside of this turn of events is that I get to spend two days with Terry and Stephanie and Becky and Penny (chaoscent!). So that will be a very nice time for all of us without men clogging up the works. :rotfl2:
:hug:I'm sure you're having a blast without him!

I have a job interview....with a driving school!!
:wizard:

Question for those with kids!!!

We finally got our mattress on the crib. We have 7 inches from top of mattress to top of crib. Bumper doesn't even fit - it goes higher than the crib by 2 inches (even though we shouldn't even have it on the bed anyways...) I know the baby doesn't move for a while, but still...should we just move it down now and not deal with it later or is it OK where it's at for now?
I would move it down lower now. You know you'll have to move it relatively soon and it will be a lot easier to do it now than after he's here.

Thanks for all the pixie dust. It worked! Bob retains primary custody, although it was touch and go. He is emotionally spent.

I've got most of the clothes laid out. Everything just needs to go into the suitcases.
Glad things worked out for Bob & Bethany! Have a great trip!!!!!

We had a great trip. Fishing was a huge hit! Need to work on laundry and uploading photos this weekend. Meeting Dug was great fun too!!!

Has anyone stayed at WL club level? I can't get AAA discount on my AKL CL room for Emma's birthday-Jan 20 to 27. I'm considering BWI too but should really consider Pop as that is where both Lizzy & Joe stayed for their 7th birthday trips.

Welcome back Bernadette!

Tammi glad to hear all went well at court with Bob & congratulations on your personal milestone!

Good Morning!

Tammi - Have a wonderful trip, we'll see you in a few days. Congrats to Bob, I still say he's a keeper!

Welcome home Bernadette, can't wait to see pictures

I need a huge dose of motivation to get things done around here today . . . . .

Good morning. :)

Safe travels to you, Debbie. What day do you arrive?
