I just showed Bob a list of TS restaurants with places circled that I thought he would like for the October trip. Imagine my surprise when he said, "What about this Sci-Fi Dine In Place?"

Never in a million years would I have thought he would like that place! He said it combines two of his favorite things: 50s sci-fi flicks and the drive-in. Who would have known!?!?!?

So... now I need to know about it since I have never researched it before. I know Elizabeth has gone, as well as Debbie. Anyone have any input?

Stephanie and I went there last Dec and I really liked it. We got burgers and milkshakes. The servers really get into the movies, they know when to ohh and ahh and say some of the lines. Really hokey but fun.

I have eaten here a few times & no the food is not gourmet, but I have always enjoyed my meals here. For appetizers I like the onion rings or the artichoke dip with chips. For the main meal the ribs or burgers are not to bad. I love their shakes, nice & thick!

As with most other places you should go at least once, if not for the food to experience the atmosphere. Be warned though if you are there very long you will see the same movie clips over & over lol But they are fun to watch. Oh & if there are only two in your party most likely you will share your car with someone else.

Thanks for the reviews on Sci-Fi ladies. I have been wanting to eat there and getting a burger is no big deal with us, and John loves a good milkshake.

I second what most said. It is a lot of fun. I had the salad that involved flank steak and I think bleu chee. It was pretty yummy. Phil had a burger and loved it. The atmosphere is great! Terra can't wait to do that one again.

I agree with Elizabeth. The menu is limited, and the food wasn't great. We went for the atmosphere. Done it, don't need to do it again.

I think so. My DDA list is pretty old and those are the numbers I use to reach her.

Hi, I have been having issues posting to the Dis so that is why I have not posted reccently.

We had storms yesterday and lost power for a short time.

Today I have been doing work stuff Plans of work, monthly reports and other paperwork that is due by Tuesday. I am now procrastinating and taking a break. Tomorrow my brother and I will probably head to Hersheypark.

We've been twice, about a decade apart. It's one of those been there, done that places. The food is mediocre and it totally makes a difference as to where you are seated for the atmosphere.

We're home. Now it's back to reality. It was certainly sad coming home and not having our kitty here to welcome us I'm very glad that we were able to get away and give the kids a chance to adjust and mourn without constant reminders. I've got a mountain of laundry to climb over the next couple of days, but otherwise we are in good shape. Now that the kids activities have ended for the summer I need to adjust to my new work schedule and hopefully pick up a few more nights at the restaurant. I can also start planning next year's vacation extravaganza.

Anyone here beside me ever eat a lettuce sandwich? My husband never has and I told him he was deprived. I love lettuce sandwiches.

I thought that sounded good too, Tia! But I have read more than a handful of reviews saying it was awful. I have read that the Reuben is goo, as well as the BLT soup. They both sounded good to me.

Becky - I have been having issues with the DIS too. It often takes forever for the pages to load and sometimes my posts aren't there after the page does come up. Have fun at Hershey Park!
