TICK WARNING!

I hate it when people forward bogus warnings, but this one is real, and it's important.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up,
DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!!
They only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid!!

Chuck's upset with you for ruining his fun! He says to tell you he was getting me on this regularly!

Matthew just left for his last day of regular school ever. :sad2: I am happy for him, really, and proud, too.

That's exciting! Congrats to Matthew!

For any of you DVC folks....Caskbill passed away yesterday. Bill was a moderator on the DVC forum as well as the gentlemen who created the DVC tracking software. A nice man...generous with his time.

Oh, how sad! :guilty: I had been following the thread about his ill health, but I hadn't heard that he passed away.

That little cat has become a ball of fire in 24 hours! :scared1: We have determined it is a male. He is SO playful, but his claws are SO SHARP! :scared: He has a good appetite, I saw him drinking water this morning, he seems to be recovered completely from his under-the-truck ordeal. He is using his litter box, but he makes a HUGE mess with the litter. :sad2: DH is taking him to the vet in the morning.

Little Cat figured out how to hook his claws into the toilet seat cover, then hop to the back of the toilet and hop over to the sink. So I took the cover off the toilet seat. That stopped him for 3 or 4 attempts, then he managed to climb on the toilet anyway. He unrolled the toilet paper, he spilled the bowl of water we keep on the sink for Aurora. He is a mess.

Arabella was hissing at the bathroom door this morning. I am hoping we can find a good home for him quickly, because I don't think she wants to be friends with him.

Becky - Happy Birthday!!!!!

Elizabeth - Let that kitty come out and play!

Welcome to the new person!

Here is a clip of Alyssa's show, if you care to see it. She is obviously confused and and upset with herself for all of her mistakes. I think the dance is going to look horrible come the show on Sunday.

I'm supposed to tell you Chuck & Becky think she did a great job. Becky is proud that she did it all by herself like that. Chuck thinks that she looked like the star. They also commented on how pretty she is. Of course, I agree with all their comments but I was told by Becky that I HAD to share their comments.

My cats like to jump up on the bathroom sink and sit there until I turn on the facet to a little trickle. They prefer that method of drinking to using their water bowl.

Thanks! I know I would be humiliated to be the one dancing with an air partner, but I've been very good at not verbalizing it to her. For all I know, she could be fine with it and I don't want my opinion to cloud hers.

I'm leaving work now, going to pick up the kids and then we are off to tap rehearsal. My parents are also on their way down here and should get to my house around the same time I get home.

That's how my Sebby was. My "new" guys never do that.

Aurora would PREFER to drink running water from the faucet. I am not a fan of that. We started leaving a bowl of water by both bathroom sinks and the kitchen sink when we went on Vacation, and now we just leave those bowls there all the time. Aurora never drinks out of the water bowl next to the food bowl. DH often leaves a glass of water for her IN the kitchen sink, too.

Katrina's cat prefers to drink from the bathroom faucet as well. We have found him sleeping in there as well.

That is so sad and fairly sudden too.

Most cats prefer running water. That's why our vet recommended a pet fountain for Riley many years ago. Cats apparently will drink more if it is moving water which is better for their kidneys.

I hope you have a great weekend :wizard:

Well, this week sure has gone by too fast. I did manage to have a lot of "Omi Alone Time" It sure was nice to just go outside and get in the pool. I spent more time in the pool than I ever have.
I tried to watch the newest Pirates of the Caribbean but fell asleep both times. I think the few Gin & Tonics might have been part of the problem!!!

Elin,,,Hal and I went to Tortuga's Lie today for lunch today. We needed some quiet time together. We had the tuna sandwich special. It was great. I can see why you like the place.

We are getting ready to do the family portrait. Should be fun with all of us here this time.

I went and bought a Pandora Bracelet and three things to put on it. I will take a picture later. This might be the start of a tradition of getting a charm on each trip.

Time to get beautiful!!!!!

The boards will be coming down at 9pm eastern time tonite 6/12 in order to allow Verio to update the driver for our SAN and perform some database maintanence. They will be shut down for 5-6 hours.

Today was last day of school here.

Today was the last day of classes for the high school. Then there is a week and a half of exams, but they only go in for the times they have exams. Matthew has one, and Laura has six. The elementary and middle schools go until June 23rd.
